- Hey folks!
Today we are talking about my first attempt at selling some cards. I never actually do that, but i will ask for an offer for this pile of cards. What do you think they are worth? And do you buylist cards or do you keep everything?

Hey folks! Sorry i couldn’t make the premiere, but i got stuck in my own live stream 😂😁👊🏻
If your not using them yes sell them so other players can and get what you really want
@@travismeyer1670hey travis! thanks for stopping by, buddy! like i said in the stream, it’s good to see you! ❤️
yeah, that makes sense. if it does not excite you, don’t hang on to it. let’s see what they offer for the pile 😁👊🏻
@@NerdAndProudOfIt for sure man I'd love to have some of those cards but I play commander twice a week with my friends if your not using them or looking at them dosnt make you happy you know what to do
@@travismeyer1670thanks, man 😁👊🏻! i appreciate the advise 🙏🏻
@@NerdAndProudOfIt anytime.
Hells yeah, do it Yoda. Start small steps. For the first time ever I recently buylisted a bunch of cards (so I understand) Mostly modern foils, borderless variants etc. none of that stuff excites me, I have never used em, and they'll be reprinted etc.
as always, dungeon brush babbles, great minds think alike! 😁👊🏻.
thanks for the comment, buddy! and yeah, i think getting rid of the stuff that does not excite you is a good idea. small steps to learn how to approach this sounds good too! 😁👊🏻
When I pull expensive set cards from my drafts/prereleases I usually instantly sell them on Marktplaats as the cards are still in 'trend' and people tend to pay more there. Money I make from that goes to 93/94 cards as you know :).
very smart, cless!! i hate marktplaats, though. to many horrible people and to unregulated. i do use it, though, but you need to filter ther reactions harshly! 😂👊🏻
@@NerdAndProudOfIt completely true buddy I'm also selective but theres some nice deals and people to sell to if you take some time!
@@AZNCIessyeah, and pick up only. otherwise it is guaranteed trouble 😜
Wow! Nice cards! There is a lot of money tied up there! I agree I would put that stuff towards some Unlimited if you’re not actively using them to play.
I used to buylist for store credit because the value was pretty great but the problem was that it would trap my money at a particular store and I need to wait for them to have a card I need at the right price.
These days I just sell them myself on tcgplayer. There was a bit of a learning curve but nowadays it’s pretty smooth sailing.
hey chris! thanks for sharing your way of approaching things! sounds like you found a good system for yourself! awesome.
yeah, i can see that tying up your credit with a store that doesn’t offer a lot can be tricky.
and selling yourself always seems like the better option, but time and energy are my main enemies, so yeah, looking for these cards in my collections alteady was an obstacle for me 😂😜
Buylisting is an interesting thing especially if you can directly trade in for something you like. I personally sell via cardmarket or ebay like 95% of the time. Im still a competetive player so i usually only sell cards that are irrelevant for formats i play. Vintage, legacy, modern (and to a certain extend pioneer staples 2 mana and less) is what i keep. Everything standard and commander i get rid of asap.
Also i try to keep the original print and sell reprints for the most part. Yoda and happy weekend! 🍻
that sounds like a great approach, stopfgans! i think i need to get smarter with that too. it does makes sense.
thanks for the comment, buddy, and have a great weekend! 😁👊🏻
I've been liquidating for about a year now, buylisting between CK and my LGS. CK does give me a better deal but I do have to factor in shipping. The last shipment I sent to CK included nearly $100 in just basic full art lands, looking at that like free money. Lol. And yeah, lower end first, you'll be surprised what you'll find in bulk.
thanks for the comment, cris, as always, i appreciate it!
sounds like you found a nice way of approaching this and like you make the best of your collection! i like it 😁👊🏻
you have without a doubt the coolest collection i have ever seen
hey cat! i doubt it, but i appreciate the kind comment 😁👊🏻
Sell to a store you buy from .. always best to get store credit .. very nice diverse set of modern cards
hey xavier! yeah, i probably only would sell to 341, as i mainly buy there. but indeed, it does make sense to do this.
nothing in this pile you would keep, knowing my love for old cards? no RL cards you spotted?
I don’t mind buylisting. I do it every now and then but only to shops that have cards that I require and that’s not always the case. Have you chosen the cards that you want to purchase with your credit?
makes sense, bart! i think that’s a good way to approach it!
no, not yet. i first wanna see what they offer me for the cards. i have my eyes on a beta dual, but the credit needs to be right for that. 😁👊🏻
Smart idea for sure!
thanks, william! yeah, i need to get smarter with my collection. maybe this is a first step. thanks for the comment! 👊🏻
It would be hard for me to it’s probably logical. I hope you don’t regret it.
ha, finally a collectors voice of reason, chris! are you like me and do you have problems with selling parts of your collection? 🙏🏻
yeah, i don’t think i will regret it, as these are cards i have not looked at for years or new cards i do not care about that much, but let’s first see what they offer anyways. 😁👊🏻
Jürgen. Keep that foil isochron scepter. OG foils like that in mint condition are few and far between…
Looks like $500-$1000
The regular isochrons, CK takes for $13 credit.
This is all good stuff.
Look at buylisting commons, uncommons, and lands first.
Take out the bottom layer that you’ll never want
Keep that yoda
thanks for the great advise, ed! i was tended to keep that foil scepter and that senseis divining top foil.
but for the rest i just do not use the cards. so let’s see. somewhere close to 1000 bucks would be nice, indeed. 👊🏻🙏🏻❤️
Since you don't really play sanctioned magic to where you build decks and need 4 of for everything, and for commander (if you even play?(I do not)), trade away for what you actually want. If I were to buylist my 'Chaff' right now, I could probably get a few power 9 or a playset of Bazaar, but then I would have less cards to build with. (And I'm lazy/busy).
the lazy/busy part keeps me from going through my cards properly. i hear ya. i already pre selected a few piles and went through these, to get this pile. but i could look for more. it is fine, though. i do not necesarily wanna get rid of things. i just don’t use these cards and probably would be happier with an UNL dual or something for the binder.
thanks for the comment, buddy! 🙏🏻❤️
I'd buy your Ugins bro
YODA!
thanks! i am based in europe, though, so if you are based in the US it would probably not make a lot of sense 👊🏻.
wow you have never sold a card? sell em! get some old school!! easy choice
not cards like this, no. i never went through my collection looking for valuable cards and sold them. i did sell my vintage deck when i moved to the netherlands to buy a car back in 2000. didn’t want to, but needed the cash badly to start a new life. it is what it is 😜. but no, never got rid of cards i pulled or that were just sitting in storage boxes.
Sell em all and use the money for something reasonable:
Beers and strippers.......
Codeword: remember to invite me 🤩
that is the best suggestion i heard so far, jimmi! 😂👊🏻❤️. i’ll keep it to the beer, though, believe it or not, i actually do love my wife ☺️
@@NerdAndProudOfIt Strippers are all about gathering appetite out and then eating at home.
