Ahh! Ok, I know of Doom Patrol but never really explored it much and I definitely don't remember them from Teen Titans. Granted my only exposure to it was the 2003 animated series and it's been a while since I've seen it.
You always have such a great commentary/introspection after the episodes: I like that you go into why Superman can be not that relatable to the general audience but Clark is. It's awesome that you always zero in on his character moments rather than his powers or if he's not "strong" enough (it's disappointing when reactors sometimes get annoyed that he's beaten up so much in the show when the point of Superman isn't his OP power set but his character). I agree too that you don't often see a focus on Clark by himself and I think that's what is so compelling about MAWS. Even from the first episode you get to know Clark as his own person, before he's even Superman, really well. The idea that Superman is the "real" him kinda always bothered me a bit too. Thank you! I live for those character moments and this show has a lot of them! I agree with you, it's funny how people both complain about how OP he is but then also complain when they show him more vulnerable like in this show. Oh well, thanks again for tuning in! I just finished the season 1 finale today and it did not disappoint! Can't wait to share it with you all!
@@GrimbleReacts Agreed, I think he's at his most interesting when he's more vulnerable, and I kind of like that this Clark is even more hesitant is because if you think about it, he grew up thinking he basically just had strength/flight/speed. But he hits adulthood and suddenly he's gaining even more, so that's a terrifying situation to be in. No problem! And that's awesome you finished, I'll look forward to it! This was a strong first season! I feel that if the Superman movie can hit the tones/feel of MAWS, we'll be in a good place for live action DC :D
