So glad you tested out just about any doll that someone would use this for, and that you thought to make a stand for the units so they're taller. Otherwise, I would have suggested it, along with about 100 other people. I love the realistic colors and accessories!
Also, if you make the stand slightly narrower (front to back) than the set, then cover the visible edge with black scrapbook paper (or black paint, etc., depending on what you use for the platform), you have a nice built-in kickspace of sorts. :)

When I was a kid,I had these..Its actually a hello kitty design.The sound on the "try me" button is actually a frying sound and all of the round thingy glows.Mom bought it for my birthday.When I was turning 5.It has only the cooking part,Some shelves,And a another shelve and at the bottom of it is a dishwasher that completes with a gray tray.Sometimes i'm really crazy that I combine it into a kitchen bar...I was a really crazy child..😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
i have a full set but pink and grey version, it was only less than 1,000 pesos here in Philippines, These sets are all over our stores btw hahaha

Oooh! I've been having such a kitchen for about 5 years, and it's awesome! It was sold in Russia under the name "Modern Comfort". But mine has foily-shiny dishes and bright blue front pannels instead of red ones.
It's a cool idea to build a platform to fit it for taller dolls! Thank you! I definitely have to do it!
I'm a taller woman and normal height kitchen counters are always too short. They're designed for short people, not someone of Barbie's height
I saw this on amazon before and was tempted to buy but remembered I still had a Barbie kitchen set from the 90s. It's nice to see the how it compares to doll sizes.

Thank you so much for this one!!! I had seen this kitchen set (well, the bigger one without doll) on ebay once and have been looking for it ever since, but didn't know the name or brand. And I'd liked it pretty much for the same reasons you listed (so much space with no fake cabinets, and the realistic colors). :D

You can also use a recycled pop tart box (the large 16 ct. kind) as the base for a counter extension (of sorts) to place next to the sink. What's a sink without a dish drainer, canisters, or a place to prepare food? :)

I got mine from eBay and I repainted my kitchen black with the checkered board in the back. Plus, I put mine on 1/4" platforms cause it was just a little short for Barbie. You can paint any Barbie plastic furniture but just remember to seal it with mod podge or some other clear finish so the paint doesn't peel off. Rust-Oleum makes a spray paint just for plastics too. I am commenting to let you and my fellow subscriber's know that this kitchen can be found at your local DD's stores (I'm from San Jose, CA) toy section. I found the same 4 piece kitchen for $17.99 and they also sell them separately for $5.99 not to mention a lot of other Barbie-sized doll rooms for under $10.00. Keep up the GREAT videos, I really appreciate that you share your creativity with us and the way that you explain in detail how to make each item and room! I'm new to this and am having an absolute blast doing this even though I'm a grandma (to 4 beautiful little girls). They are absolutely loving the things I'm making for us!!

WOW I found a pink one on amazon and it was $30 plus it had another selection with a dishwasher and it was much more realistic since the pots and pans were sliver instead of gray.......Also when i pressed the button on mines, it lights up the top of the stove and the oven and the noise sounds like an actual cooking...

Your stove definitely needs new batteries. Mine makes a crackling sound and the little clear top burners light up an orange color. It's really cool.

I really like all the realistic touches, but I think I would want to paint or paste over the cartoony printed background images on the paperboard backings so they don't ruin the effect.

I found the Sweet Home and Living bathroom set with the tub at a Toys R Us Outlet store for the same price and it also came with a doll. I've been wanting to get the full My Modern Kitchen for awhile now. Many people on Instagram have repainted the kitchen cabinets and handles to personalize the look.
