Alright, time for some perfectly balanced SEO that breaks the algorithm:
We can include terms like baby shark and pewdiepie to really broaden the audience and then spice it up with some among us and Minecraft crossed with the hit new youtube sensation that is rust on the OTV server featuring twitch funny moments from jackscepticeye. I also have to mention music, asmr and markiplier that are all important terms here on youtube. Let us not forget of course the makeup and fashion community by referencing shane dawson and james charles. Now whilst this is COMPLETE GIBBERISH to most an algorithm is able to pick out the specific key terms in this post and promote it accordingly. So lets support the Kpop stans by mentioning bts and lofi hip hop. We can even talk about some other big channels like mrbeast and dantdm. For some reason in 2020 some of the most searched tags are game of thrones and avengers endgame... Let us of course not forget the most important things of the year like dunke peppa pig and roblox! Time for all the top current searches Among Us - online game, new song 2020, pop smoke and techno gamerz and tubbo smp! Time For todays new aditions in SEO too: Thanos, fifa, joe biden, inauguration, Tommy, sidemen, mod, update, rt game, yogscast, the spiffing brit, game, predator, fortnite update, fortnite predator, boss!

Listening to this has made me realize something. I want to change, I need to, but I don’t. There are many things I need to change, many of my thoughts and feelings I need to unravel. I’ve been fighting a long time,
Whether I knew it or not, I’ve been doing this a while. And I need to fix the problems. I’m going to try and fix it, become the me I love instead of a man that just copies others. Become more than just a 14 year old with Autism and no drive. Those don’t define me, what defines me is who I make myself. I’ll get back to you when or if I fix that. I just want you to know, thank you for this video. Some times even of the smallest of things go a long way. This my friend has shown that.
Amen to that.
Brilliantly said, my friend
Keep fighting man. I tell you, when you accomplish it, it’s going to be the best fucking feeling ever.
Damn I feel like this is calling me out I have autism and no drive to do almost anything productive and am 15. There are things I want to change about myself I try to be more social but it just feels like I can’t and I just attempt to copy what it looks like everyone else does but fail miserably. It feels like the biggest thing that stops me is fear that the few friends I have with suddenly hate me and I’ll just come off as annoying if I try and say or do anything to start any conversation with them and I feel like like I will be judged by everyone else around me as well. It just feels like a terrible conflict where I want to be more social and try to be but the harder I try the more stressed I get over the fact that I can’t do it.

Ikr, they probably just said "watch this anime! Watch that anime!" While they were in their prime hype mode for that certain series, and not actually thinking about if it will match his taste of not.
Most likely, because knowing more from the video I wouldn't rec JoJo though it's one of my favs haha. A couple others do come to mind though...
there is an vast amount of genre in anime.
Mob psycho and one punch man has the same creator and this author has to do with
'''psychology of self worth''' in his story.
so its better to search an anime with that type of genre.
Nahh id say it's probably because most anime have a different mindset to us western folk in most eastern cartoons the story is usually based around teamwork and friendship and the protagonist usually has a personality of working together to make the world a better place. Meanwhile in western cartoons it's pretty much based on one main character and what he has to do to accomplish his goals learning from his mistakes and protecting what's precious to him like Spiderman for example.
That might be a factor but at the end of the day he was recommended long running shonen anime over and over and didn’t really like them.
Despite being a fraud, Reigen did solve his client's problems. Some people just had a bad day and tried to blame it on spirits/ghosts etc, Reigen comes in and go along with their story and solve their problems for money.
I still believe Reigen should make a massage parlor tbh

He clearly said that it is true that some movies have shallow characters, but if you think that then everyone will tell you that you are watching the wrong movies. As is the case with what you said. Not liking stuff like naruto or one piece is completely understandable
Rock Lee and Might Guy are the only strong characters that aren't born with some god like gift. Almost every single character has special eyes, is born with the right genes, has a beast inside them, etc. Even the MC is a reincarnation of a god, has nearly infinite chakra thanks to Kurama, is basically royalty as he is the son of the legendary 4th Hokage and a mother who had Kurama sealed inside her and then Kurama went and got sealed into Naruto, then he got trained by some of the best teachers for a few years and unlocked Sage mode and by the end was a god. i'm sure there are other things which i am missing but oh well.

This video made me re-live the emotions i had when watching the show, while i made a review on mob psycho 100, it doesnt come close to explaining how good this show is unlike yours. Hats off to you.
If I can throw my two cents in.
You have seemingly been attempting to watch the anime that's the most generic.
I have a special place for One Piece in my heart due to personal reasons, however I know it's long winded and hard to get into.
But anime isn't a genre, it's a medium. But because so many think of it as a genre, the only ones talked about are the longest "most populars". Which in any medium doesn't mean "the best" nor "the deepest".
I tell people who I learn say "I hate anime" that "I can find an anime that you would love" because it's true. There is an anime for everyone, because anime is just a genre.
I have already thought up several shows with strong character writing and development that's so realistic it makes me cry with ease. But I won't say "you should watch these."
I'll wait, if you would like to hear a suggestion from a rando in your comments section, then please tell me ♡ otherwise. I cannot wait for your next video.
one piece becomes terrible after the alabaster arc
@@dinogt8477 (this is just my opinion) more like it gets worse after the first timeskip.
That's when Oda ran out of actually funny tropes, storylines making so little character development it seems like a filler, and for the anime, Toei Animation ruined the already mediocre one piece to bad.
My favorite arc is the drum island arc, since it actually teaches an actually insightful life lesson, the humor in the arc was good, and art in the manga was the best in all of one piece.
Before timeskip was one piece's peak, and after that it became the normal super saiyan trash stories every 8 year old likes.
Well, we can't blame Oda for that, shonen jump's publishing schedule is unbelievably intense, and thinking up of new fun arcs in the stress is like trying to finish a school assessment in 5 minutes instead of the usual time.

As someone who struggles with self-identity it is shows like this that really resonate with me and show me simple but profound things about life. Things like being special is what makes your life harder, not easier, is one of the things that sounds true enough, but realising and internalising it is another matter entirely.
If you enjoy the kind of shows that has a message about self-improvement then I recommend Re:Zero. It's way less fun and way more... Suffering. The main character suffers for all his shortcomings greatly and, eventually, overcomes them.
Pretty much the whole point of Re:Zero is "Sin vs Virtue" where MC is presented with choosing one over the other, and the right choice isn't always obvious.
Show is very dark and at times depressing to watch, but it never fails at reeling you in with constant bombardment of intrigue.

The idea that people can change and better themselves so long as they put in the work is one that's stuck with me since I was introduced to the series. That, and the value of compassion. MP100 is a truly special story.
Reigen is such an interesting character. Other characters are loveable too. Love the message of kindness and the importance of community as well. Eventho mob is so strong but reigen sometimes reminds him it's ok to run away and ask for help
As someone who loves one piece with their hearts content I dont blame you for stopping early, it doesnt really get q great arc till around episode 40, and the 3rd arc is a real drag.not to mention the anime gets some really horrible pacing and animation issues later on making it sorta unwatchable to a point where you might as well read the colored manga.
When I watched one piece, it took me 5-6 months to finish. I watched an average 9-10 episodes a day because I had school and nothing else. Though I did take breaks that lasted a week or 2. Honestly it’s really hard to get into one piece because of it’s the amount of episodes, it can feel repetitive, stretched to hell and (I’ll admit) a bit boring at times. Advice to anyone, 1-4 episodes a day if you want to catch up in about a year or 1-2 episodes in 2 or more years.
I vastly prefer the manga for pacing reasons

@@Userdoesnotexit i can tell you dont read one piece
@@Userdoesnotexit Thats just the arc structure. Theres so much more going on in these arcs. Different themes, characters, drama, conflict (even between the strawhats). And of course not all arcs follow that structure. Water 7 and Ennies Lobby are about saving a crewmate from the Government, in Sabaody the Strawhats are forcibly disbanded and the slave trade remains in that island , Impel Down is a big jail break , Marineford is a giant war involving almost every major player in the OP world etc. You can find a certain pattern to most stories but it's what the author does within these patterns that differentiates a repetitive story to a non -repetitve one.
I got teared up a little bit when you talk about the bridge scene thats how powerful that scene was
I’m glad I got recommended this. It pretty much reminded me why I LOVE Mob Psycho 100. It has a great cast, comedy, action all the while spreading the “kindness” and “self improvement” message. Pretty much everything you can ask for in an anime.
I just want to add on that another anime I really love is Hajime no Ippo. It’s also another action anime that revolves around self improvement. Though, it’s a boxing anime, it praises hard work while reminding that hard work is not always rewarded. It’s realistic and motivational. The cast are also great, it’s funny and emotional. I highly recommend anyone reading this to give it a try.... especially TheClooch!
I don't consider myself an "anime fan" as like, a character trait, but I often find a lot of them catching my eye (I recently started a My Anime List account just for memory's sake). The ones you mention getting burnt out on are ones that just... have not had anything to them that seemed worth it despite me seeing people talk about them everywhere. Mob Psycho 100, on the other hand, has cemented itself as one of my absolute favorite works of fiction, and I haven't tired of it even after watching through it at least 5 times (mostly coming back to it when I'm going through a bad place mentally). You touched on basically exactly everything I love about it in this video: the unique, stunning animation, the themes of growth, the lovable and believable characters, and those two particular scenes that make the simplest words hit like hammers. It uses its medium extremely well.
If I may, another anime where I found its themes of growth to make an impact on me that I don't see anyone talking about here is A Place Farther Than The Universe. It has a very different tone from MP100, following some regular high school girls going on a trip to Antarctica, but I think it's another short (13 episodes) gem that's worth a watch.
As a non-anime rec that I have to sneak in whenever I get the chance, everyone reading this comment go read Gunnerkrigg Court it's very good.
Months late, but here's my assessment: You're looking at shonen stuff, primarily designed to be long and drawn-out, as well as not particularly complicated. One Piece is by far one of the most well-written Shonens, but it IS still a shonen, and the slow pacing that defines even its manga is only drawn out further still by the anime.
You might be looking for more cerebral, experimental stuff. Try checking out Masaaki Yuasa's "Kaiba". It's full of great feels and an imaginative, but broken world.
Death note’s a good place to start
Its crazy that we literally lived the same life when it comes to anime, you describe my same experience almost word for word.
Mob showed me that it's ok to be you as long as you don't hurt others and also helped me realize just how much more I have to learn about myself and others
Most anime stories have the MC's goal set towards beating a main villain or becoming the most powerful/influential or whatever you may call it ,people often joke about friendship and the "journey" but I don't think anyone does the actual journey of a character like Mob . It doesn't matter if fight scenes are spoiled for you,the point of the anime isn't Mob vs Enemies. It's Mob vs Mob , it's the actual journey of self discovery for Mob and Reigen and other characters.
This was such a good video! Thank you for the excellent analysis and explanation of your thoughts!! I enjoyed it immensely.
I'm pretty similar in this regard, I honestly can't stand most animes, but sometimes a show appears that it is unforgettable. To me those were Attack on titan, Berserk (the manga), and more recently, Made in Abyss, possibly my favorite show of all time, and it has only 12 episodes (and a movie instead of a second season).
Yeah those are some golden gems for sure ngl
You should really watch Jojos bizzare advanture (the name speaks for itself) . And mayby watch rainbow nisha robokou no shinchinin. It is a show I've never seen something similar too. It is heartbreaking and depressing and sometimes it's wholesome and heartwarminf

This really is a beautifully done analysis of one of my favorite shows ever. I’m glad I watched it because there are things I’ve never thought of watching it over three times
I don’t want to say you’re looking in the wrong places, but the bigger shonen titles don’t exactly exhibit the raw creative direction that some other writers have. A personal favorite of mine is Land of the Lustrous, another beautifully (CGI) animated anime that really emphasizes the development of the main character Phos and some of the other supporting characters. The dynamic nature of Phos is reflected in the sometimes drastic sometimes subtle changes to her appearance that really is just brilliant. I think you’d really love the show for its themes, characters, animation, and cinematography. It’s only one season that doesn’t finish the story but I think it’s worth it to watch.

Hey Clooch id recommend Cowboy Bebop for you. I don’t like anime that much but Cowboy Bebop is a masterpiece in my opinion
I mean, it's a pretty good slice of life.
Gonna defend Steven U here for a sec: there's a lot of emotional fallout to Steven "magically" becoming the "chosen hero", and it's on full display by the end of the series (at least the Steven Universe Future episodes). But everything else about your vid: spot ON :)
Wow you put everything I felt about this show into words, Thank you for the amazing video.
says: "I've tried multiple times to watch naruto, one piece and other shows"
me: Commits to *vomit*.
You really are starting in the wrong place
Yeah despite being "entry-level" anime those shounen shows are meant for a younger, less mature audience, and I wouldn't really recommend those anime to an adult. I'd recommend something that has a seinen demographic instead since those anime have more mature themes.
@@CalmClamFam Shonen sucks ass in general most of the time. Though it is a broad category. The real Shonen experience is experience is so incredibly retarded. It's the equivalent to a battle royale game
@@CalmClamFam one piece is for a more mature audience.
@@wd1002 that op is good how does that have anything to do with the quality of an anime genre. Also, I hate most anime but I still like watching it. It's okay to like shitty things. And I am one of the people who watched pretty much any anime even like 5 years after starting. Typical Shonen like Naruto are things I cannot stand though.
@@wd1002 that's a low blow man, attacking someone's taste in music
The problem with shows like one piece and naruto is that they release an episode per week. The have to cut lots of corners in animation and add lots of filler to make one episode per week feasible. It really just drags the quality of the shows down, regardless of how good the source material is. Those really aren't the shows people would recommend to people to get into anime. Shows that are high quality like one punch man season 1, mob psycho, and kaguya-sama are shows that I'd recommend to anyone because I see them as objectively good shows, and not just good anime.
Yepp thats why i never tell my friends to start with naruto, i’m watching naruto shippuden right now, i’m loving it but it has some boring moments
Great video dude, I really enjoyed it. mob psycho one hundred as also been one of my all time favorite shows due to everything you mentioned in the video. Keep making these videos man they're really soothing and enjoyable to watch. Though I would recommend having some music in the background to fit the topic or theme you are talking about
Mob Psycho is definitely the show that got me more into anime. After I watched it I finally watch FMA Brotherhood, Attack on Titan, and a bunch of others to the point where I'm watching 4 shows as they air every week this season. Honestly I used anime to fill the void of creative works building and storytelling that the latter seasons of Game of Thrones left behind.
The problem here is that you conflate anime and shonen action. Not all anime is like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and One Piece. I personally despise those shows, and I think if I'd watched them as my first exposure I'd never have become a fan of anime either. But anime isn't a singular thing you know, it's like saying you don't like films because you don't like children's action movies. Obviously those two things aren't the same.
If you want my recommendation, I'd seriously check out some more grown up shows with more depth. You might like Attack on Titan, since it's probably the closest to those shonen shows while being far from it. Otherwise I'd recommend Monster, if you like a realistic setting, complex characters and development, as well as complex Cold War / post World War II themes. Or Paranoia Agent, and Perfect Blue, if you like psychological exploration and horror. There are more I could list but those I think would show you the less childish side of anime.
do you like original dragon ball? it isnt like z
Don't mix up One Piece with normal Shounen, One Piece is the best shounen, even better than Hunter x Hunter.
I've stopped watching Jujutsu Kaisen and I realized that I have grown out of watching Shounen, or at least the typical kind as I still love HxH. After watching so much anime I kinda got bored of the formulaic plot. Even with Isekais, it has to be one with very good writing or at least something special to separate it from the pack. I've started watching more slice of life, although I will never touch moe(except for a few exceptions like with Yuru Camp). I still consider myself a weeb and watch lots of seasonal shows, I think I've just become more selective in what I watch.
@@003mohamud I think jujutsu kaisen is interesting, but it might be because I only watch 1-3 seasonal anime in a season
When u love Naruto but ppl r like “it’s terrible” :’D
I'm pretty sure you can't get into anime because a lot of the ones you've tried are shonen (for teens). It could also be just the cultural differences or the way anime is written idfk
Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad is nice and grounded. Mushishi is magical and atmospheric, doing its best to transport you to a quiet world of folklore.
I love the fact tha mob thinks of himself as a person who can grow instead of a person who thinks the world should follow his ideologies, the fight against the claw boss in another way is basically mob fighting himself if he were to think of himself as some king of the world.
It honestly sounds like it's just Shonen anime you've tried, have you tried psychological anime like Death note or Another?
"Growing up... ...Dragon Ball Kai..." noooo dont make me feel old
Loved this video! I initially loved mob psycho, but never thought of it on a deeper level but man I love it even more!
I really gotta self improve myself and maybe I'll get myself some psychic powers...who knows!
Thanks for making this video and allowing me to love this show even more!
I really like the Mogami arc and how is framed as Mob but without a Reigen like figure to guide him.
Steven Universe is like, the worst example to use when explaining that some shows aren't about characters working hard to improve themselves
_You only talked about _*_Shonen_*_ Animes, that you didn't like_
_Try Anime like _*_DeathNote_*_ etc._
I am thankfull that MOB could bring you such joy and experience anime in a positive light.
Mob psycho is good I van watch every month and I am still not bored with it
10:35 the equivalent to saying this is like saying "I can't understand why I can't get into cartoons. There's nothing wrong with cartoons, from a technical standpoint. I tried multiple times to watch Bugs Bunny, Popeye the Sailor Man and other shows." Do you see how dumb that sounds? Did Mob Psycho not make you realize that you can't judge an entire medium based off a couple shows? There are multiple genres of anime, just like there are multiple genres to cartoons. You judged an entire medium of storytelling based off of the "action" genre that you don't like, while ignoring every other single one.
Mob Psycho really is the best, ONE has an extremely unique and fun style of writing, he really makes you fall in love with his characters. And also Studio BONES' work on the anime is IN SANE!
Mob psycho 100 is my favorite anime of all time and has been for three years and ugh it’s really has a weird hold on me and has changed me so much as a person and the way I think about life
I think that sense of humanity is why I like Mob (and a couple other anime too) so much. Ofc I can still enjoy shows that are less about characters and more about beating the shit out of people, but it doesn't resonate as much with me y'know? Like there's a piece of the story missing or something, idk. It's just nice to have a show that actually shows true humanity in its chars even with the more supernatural elements in it.
Beautiful video bro. Love your work
Great video about a great anime. Can’t wait to see you future content man. Keep it up.
Damn your underrated! Mob Psycho 100 is really an interesting anime. Liked and Subscribed btw :)
Paranoia Agent is an anime that made me rethink my entire being. the animation is so simple at times but yet so telling. It’s honestly pretty dark, but it’s really freakin good. Try watching it, the first ep starts a little slow but it picks up pace quickly!
Another show about changing as a person is ReLife, although it has no fights or anything like that, it's amazingly relatable and has really good characters.
Good video! Glad you found something you liked and it just happened to be this gem of a show :)
it's almost like you took the words out of my mouth, amazing video 100/100
Man I remember subscribing to you because of the overwatch video but with this content I wouldn’t be surprised if you have 100k subs by 2021 ;)
Mob getting real buds over the course of the show that are supportive and caring was great. I didn’t expect this show to be as wholesome as it is, it’s really nice to see a show that promotes things like kindness and and self improvement. There’s a lot of shonen that glorify strength and intelligence so it’s oddly refreshing to just see a protagonist be good because he’s a good person above his godlike powers.
Mob Psycho 100 is a beautiful piece of media and you hit the nail on the head here. If you want another simple on the surface show with a lot of underlying depth to it, I would HIGHLY recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, it's arguably the best anime ever made as it has beautiful animation, compelling characters, an interesting setting and a lot of depth that is still easy to take in. It focuses on two brothers that tried to bring their mother back from the dead using alchemy (old-school concept of equivalent exchange and such, make anything out of anything else with enough materials and energy input) but it goes horribly wrong and the older brother loses his leg as the "price" he must pay, and the younger brother loses his entire body, only saved by his brother binding his soul to a suit of armor, and giving up an arm as the "price" for that, leaving one a cripple and the other a disembodied soul unable to feel any physical sensation. The plot centers around the 2 boys setting off to find a way to return their bodies to normal and focuses heavily on human character development, especially around finding that which is really important in life and on doing the right thing both by yourself and by others. I have never met someone that DIDN'T like this show, even among people that don't "watch anime". 64 episodes, definitely worth a watch if you haven't looked into it already.
You can't 'not like' something that introduces you to The Great Master Reigen Arataka
You pointed out nearly everything why Mob Psycho is one of my favorite Anime/Manga. Glad you loved it, good video.
legit same, ive always found myself never being able to finish a show series whether it be anime or a cartoon or actual film. however mob psycho was different for me, i really enjoyed the animation, the plot and story, the interesting characters and all of their personalities and development. it truly is a beautiful anime.
Mob psycho 100 is one of if not my nr.1 favourite anime (maybe even favourite tv shows) I've ever watched. When i read the Raigen and Mob scene in the manga I was crying my eyes out.
Turns out I've never watched Mob Psycho 100 to the end, and still believed i finished it, Can't remember all the colourful art moments... Convinced myself I watched it after reading the manga :D
I'm not big on anime. That said, Speed Racer was a favorite when I was kid. it was about the only anime we had at the time. Now, my kids like anime on different levels. My oldest son and his wife are really big on anime. He first turned me on to One Punch Man, then Mob Psycho 100. Then he turned me on to Studio Ghibli's movies, although I don't know whether those classify as anime. They are certainly not like any other anime. Studio Ghibli focuses on the story and does character development in order to support the story. The One, who does One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100, focuses on character development and writes stories in order to develop the main characters. This doesn't happen so much with One Punch Man, but with Mob Psycho 100 it happens in spades. I love the use of multiple art styles in each of them in order to convey the emotional and relational position of the character within each situation. This is a little more stark in OPM, but it's as powerful in MP100.
