I went there in December. Not too sure if u will get that much snow in May but u must go nevertheless...u will probably get to see a different Nathula if u go in May but its still a beautiful place.

Waoo Amazing, mai 10 September ko Gangtok ja raha hu , Lachen n Lachung k liye tour package kaha se book kre , i’ll go taxi stand for Tomsong lake n Baba Mandir , but I’m confused about Lachen n Lachung tour.
Personally i haven't been to Lachen and Lachung so i wont be the best person to ask to ( to be honest)...but i know that u will find a lot of travel agencies in Gangtok itself which will offer trips to Lachen, Lachung n Yumthang...price i forgot now!

1. Ye taxi stand ka distance kitna hai MG marg se?
2 permit k liye kaunsa documents/ photos dena padega?
The taxi stand is i think around 2.5 to 3 km from MG marg
For permit u will need a travel agency...they will only tell u what u gonna need...but u can carry a few passport size photos...n documents like driving licence or passport or voter id and ur Permit to visit Sikkim which u should make before or immediately after entering Sikkim.

U can book from any travel agency of ur choice in Gangtok... mostly u will get travel agencies in and near MG marg

Although the weather at Nathula is quite unpredictable but April is a good time to visit Nathula...there wud probably be more snow than what u saw in my video... temperatures wud be quite low...so be prepared for that...but still, the weather is quite unpredictable...it may be very good n suddenly it can get very foggy or rainfall or even snowfall may occur...so nothing cud be said abt that...but still April is considered to be one of the best times to visit Nathula pass.

Yes you can visit...if everything is ok n the authorities give permission. Bcoz sometimes it remains closed for tourists due to reasons like heavy snowfall...like this April it was closed. But u can still go till Changu lake, even if Nathula pass is closed...do ask ur hotel or ur travel agency beforehand!

The tour agencies name is Sunflower tours and yes it was for all the three places...although the prices do vary from one operator to another n also from season to season ...if u want their number i can give u that.

Yes the total trip was for 700 rs (round trip- Gangtok to Nathula to Gangtok)...but the price may change in different seasons n will vary from One travel agency to another....they will start from morning, abt 8-9 am n will bring u back to Gangtok by evening. But ofcourse If u go in a sharing basis, u will have to adjust your time with ur fellow passengers!

@@NabangkurPaul 1) you can't visit north Sikkim directly from Nathula...you have to start from Gangtok on a different day. If u have bike its fine but if u don't, then u will have to book a tour package from any travel agency in Gangtok or from the internet...i haven't been to North Sikkim personally but i have heard the package would cost around 1000-1200 rs for some 3 days, i think...if u do that, u won't have to worry abt hotels and sightseeing in Yumthang valley
2) a few dormitories are there in Gangtok...search in Booking.com or wherever u find cheapest...i think Hotel Pandim is one dormitory hotel...u can check the prices online
U can't take your personal car ( even if u have one) to places like Nathula n North Sikkim (Lachung, Lachen) as these are protected areas, very near the Indo-China border.

Yes...the whole trip is for 700 rs...the same taxi will take u there, give u tour of three points n bring u back to Gangtok for 700 rs or whatever the travel agency charges.

3 days Darjeeling n 3 days Gangtok would be enough to say the least.
You can book private taxis for ur whole family from anywhere. If u go to Darjeeling or Gangtok, taxis will be available which could easily be booked by just talking to the driver himself...u can negotiate the price with him.

Bro how was your stay at international youth hostel? I saw the Google reviews and it wasn't that good and also how was hotel Sai kripa. Will we have to pay extra amount or the amount mentioned during the booking. Do I have to carry a sweater at April in Darjeeling and gangtok?
I paid 330 rs per night...so keeping that in mind let me tell u...i would say the rooms were good enough, not bad...bathroom was average a bit dirty but not very much...if u want ur private space ofcourse it is not for u...i actually became good friends with my other two roommates who were complete strangers at first...the food was quite good... location is quite good...not very far from the station n the centre...the selling factor for me were the location n the price to be honest!....n yeah u shud carry sweaters in April as well...even if its warm at day it wud be cold at night...

N about hotel Saikripa...if u book from Agoda they will charge u extra at the hotel...they don't mention it anywhere... although i didn't pay a single extra rupee as my booking with Agoda somehow didn't get complete...i talked to the owner n he said he will charge only 500 rs which was the Agoda price... otherwise their single rooms cost around 600 rs...so better u call them and ask them abt the price n booking n all first
I literally had to fight with the manager first until i called the owner who cleared the confusion...the room was actually a bit dirty...the carpet, the bed n pillows n the blankets were a bit dirty...only the bathroom was nice...their food was also a bit costlier than average prices outside...so didn't eat there... otherwise the hospitality was good enough.

Haa January me ap sabhi jagah pe ghumne ja sakte he...Agar me 3 days ka tour plan pakad ke chalu or hotel ka bhada 500 rs (minimum) per night pakad ke chalu to lagbhag 3000-3500 rs me ho jayega...Agar jyada din rukte ho ya thoda mehenga hotel lete ho to fir kharcha or bhi jyada ayega.
