Excellent reaction, you’ve just scratched the surface of Bowie, he’s the best since The Beatles! Try Station to Station , Moonage Daydream, Aladdin Sane, so many interesting and creative songs!

Great reaction to a great artist.
Bowie was & still is the only person I’ve ever idolised, I was a teenager when I started listening to him and I’m in my 50’s now.
He was one of a kind ❤

Bowie always put together top notch bands and had great production.

The massive impact of these programs Philip! Can't wait to hear your reaction to one of the greatest guitar riffs of all time, former James Brown band guitarist Carlos Alomar, my favorite Bowie guitarist, and this amazing performance! Thank you Philip!!!

For me, "Station to Station" was his greatest album, with the title song being his magnum opus. But only a personal preference.

Wow! I really like your analysis of the lyrics! I am so impressed by your ability to understand universal human issues. Your take rings true and has resonance which helps me to reach a deeper understanding. This is the second time in these remarks I've written that your program helps lead me to deeper understanding of these songs, leading yet greater emotional resonance for me.

For Bowie soul and funk: Try cuts from Bowie's Young Americans album with Luther Vandross back-up singers and David Sanborn on saxophone, like Somebody Up There Likes Me, Win, Fascination, Right and Can You Hear Me. Also Carlos Alomar funk on Secret Life of Arabia (Heroes album). His Let’s Dance album produced by Chic’s Nile Rogers (and it’s all good!). From Station to Station album: Stay. Also Black Tie, White Noise with Al B. Sure.…Tonight with Tina Turner... Knock on Wood (David Live, 1975) A friend of the the Black community - complained to MTV about Black videos being relegated to early morning. Married to Somali super-model Iman.

You really have to give massive credit to guitarist Carlos Alomar on this track. His guitar work is the most delicious combination of a heavy metal guitar attack combined with the James Brown influenced funk sound which I find absolutely irresistable.

Agreed. He came back to tour with Bowie on that ridiculous none inch nails tour. Meh.

The funk rhythm guitar was Carlos Alomar, absolutely 🔥 - but let's not overlook Earl Slick, who was responsible for the lead guitar.

@@TheoZoffrok couldn't agree more! His contribution was brilliant!!! One of my all time favorite Bowie tracks.

The song "1984" is also fire. It´s from the Diamond Dogs album.
