In Dutch we also have some long words. An insurance if get an accident and can't work anymore, This insurance we call Arbeidsongeschiktheidsverzekering. Our language is pretty funny when people from abroad trying to speak. I don't realize how strange it can sound. 😁

My favorit dutch word is sinaasappelsap which means orange juice.
It's the most fun to say with some liquid in your mouth.

Pot voor drie dubbeltjes is something people say when they want to swear, but don’t want to use God’s name in vain, if that is the correct English expression. I once heard a joke translation into English, saying: lesbian for three dimes. That is not really wat it means, but that is obvious.
potverdorie = godverdomme: bloody hell = god damn it. potverdriedubbeltjes = Je vervloekt God je moet iets betalen voor de straf( muntjes of zoveel wees gegroetjes) You curse God you have to pay something for the punishment (coins or as many Hail Marys)
