Another thing I found helpful is to sponge the polish on instead of painting it over the stripes-it helps me so the polish doesn't get under the tape! 💜
ana 101 yesss! I completely forgot about that one💗
That's exactly what I do.. Paining over the tape has never worked for me
Wow great what a fantastic nail art i am a big fan of your channel
Can we support each other by subscribing each other
ana 101 go my CZcams channel to watch the movie
For the half/half design, add two or three stripes next to each other to make the strip surface thicker and minimize the risk to go over to the other half :)
I’m growing out my nails after bitting them for a few years. I love nail art so much
Yay!!❤️
How do you stop biting

Good. Very neatly and beautifully explained. It looks easy after your explanations.

Thanks I've watch nail tutorials before. I never even thought about using top coat before stripping tape. Great idea. You make it look so easy. I can't wait to try it.
Aaahhh! Thank you! I'm just getting into nail art and I assumed you needed to let the polish dry completely before pulling up the tape. It somehow didn't occur to me that you really needed to do the exact opposite. Considering how gloopy nail polish gets it makes perfect sense now that it's been pointed out. Same with putting down a top coat on the base color so you don't pull it up. Thanks again! Now it's time to attempt these asymmetrical tricolor stripes once more.
i'm the exact same looool i was shook at this part!
I tried all these tape things when I was like 10/11 and I did everything you done in this video for the “DONTS” 😂😂😂 I always thought u had to let the polish dry a little bit before taking the tape off but I learnt something new today !!
Here I am watching this 4 years after you made it and I'm SO happy I found it! I love the idea of striping tape for clean lines, but it's the bane of my existence. I was making all these mistakes. THANK YOU!
Hahaha The don't examples are me all the way!!!
Sharayah B. It’s okay😂 that’s why I made this video!💕
Gabby Morris
🤣🤣 well Thankyou!! Wouldn’t been able to it without this!
Sharayah B.
😂😂 exactly the same!!
Been there
@@GabbyAngelique I made the don't too that too I was doing experiment on mom nails thank god u did this video
Wow what a simple, yet incredibly necessary video! Thank you! 💕
i don't even do nail arts
but man, this is satisfying!
Omg. Finally someone explained the waiting time between coats of nail polish and how to use the stripes. 👍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Ms. Gabby! I just started my cosmetology course. This tutorial helps me a lot and I got so excited. God bless.
Thank you so much Gabby! I have been making these mistakes for years, and was unable to fix it, or have time to change it! Thanks so much!😉😊😁
Thank you so much for this video. I recently purchased a huge amount of tape that has a lot of different colors and patterns... And I've been a little hesitant to use it, afraid I would mess it up. But after watching this, I am a lot more confident. :)
I have a question... when I add so many layers like the top coat in between colors... it becomes so thick that by the next day it peels off completely in one layer. How do you avoid that?
Following this comment because I have this problem too
Have you tried using a base coat? That’s what normally keeps everything stick to the nail, also make sure it’s not a peel-off base coat
@@stellar783 Of course I haven't tried that, because I'm genuinely an idiot 😂 Thank you for the suggestion! I'll have to try it. I usually just use nail dehydrator
STELLAR! Yes I use one every time....
Nail dehydrator is also a good idea. I use it all the time, there's no lasting manicure for me without it.
This was SUCH a good video! Thankyou ❤️❤️
Just by watching this clip has made me realise what not to do vs what i should do when it comes to using striping tape for my nail art. Thank you so much. You’re a legend.
Thank you!!! Got my first striping tape and was a huge don't my first time. Waited too long!! Now I know! Great video. ❤
Thankyou thankyou so much for this vid! I've tried striping tape in the past and it always mucks up as you've demonstrated on the 'Don'ts' which lead me to just give up on doing it. But bow thanks to this I'm confident in knowing that I can get it right and pretty! Now I know what I'm going to do for my next nail art!
welcome❤️ I’m so glad this video was helpful!
Wow gabby, I love this video a lot because you've addressed everything that I do wrong! Your videos are way better than all those nail artists that have millions of subscribers! I hope you attain that fame one day too. Keep making quality videos like this. Much love from India 💖💖
I've always waited for the 2nd colour to dry! Ahhh ok . . . . .NOW I know why I kept getting those thick raised up lines after removing the tape! Thanks so much, need to go catch up on all your other bids now! Xx
This was honestly hella helpful to a newbie like me. Lockdown got me into experimenting my nails and I’m having so much fun now! Thank you!!!💅🏼💕
So that was REALLY helpful. I did something using tape a few weeks ago and vowed not to do it again if it came out like trash. Thank you for keeping this video up!
Watching a really thick opaque black nail polish go on is one of the most satisfying things.
It is so satisfying
I live for your nail compilations! You do such beautiful work. I love it.
This is really helpful!! I got a whole selection of striping tape from a friend and trying to figure out how to make those cool designs. Thank you!
I just bought my first ever striping tape so this was very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks for the tips !
why was this in my recommended? i mean i’m not complaining this video was a blessing
I'm not even a major fan of nailart, but watching this video makes me want to try it out. This video was so satisfying to watch haha! 😂
"don't do this, don't be that person"
Me offended cuz I am that person 😂
Oh my goodness... You had so much patience to show what's wrong how it goes wrong all those steps just to show how it doesn't works right.. despite knowing the right way.. kuddos..👍
I absolutely love it you’re amazing ❤️
Thanks so much for this video! I tried using my striping tape this morning and it didn’t turn out well. But now I have your video, and can do a good job.
I love using striping tape so I can make detailed/thin lined designs but for like the last nail designed you did, I would’ve used plain old Blue painters tape so that I don’t waste my striping tape!! Lol I just cut off a nice long strip, and I don’t have to be super careful as I paint my nail since I cut the blue tape to be thicker than the striping tape😁
Thehispanic gringa That’s a good tip! I’ve actually never used painters tape before
I absolutely needed this video, Thank you so much!!!!!! I believe I made every mistake you shared in this video, so helpful. Actually found all your Do's and Don't videos I've seen so far lol Thanks again!
I got this stuff in a kit for gel polish etc and had no idea what it was or how to use it 😅 this video is great! Thank you for the tips and showing how to use it!!
Thank you! I know i had asked you to do a video on this topic, i really appreciate you making it! 💜💜💜
Army?
That's the first video I saw from you and I have to say you have beautiful nails and I LOVE your voice! ☺️
My favorite nail art channel ever!!
Great video thankyou! I've been waiting for the polish to dry and then taking the tape off and it never goes well. Also I often end up with gaps because of not pressing it down properly too. Tweezers is a great tip!
Thank you SO much! This is amazing! Nice nails btw hehe
thanks I always thought I had to wait for it to dry before pulling the tape off
So true me too
U did this video for me lol 😝😂 😂, thank you Gabby for the helpful tips
Oooo thanks! I kinda knew these tips already but never truly stuck to them lol I kinda cheated and I definitely didn’t wait long enough to let the layers fully dry when they’re supposed to, this definitely helped a lot ^^ thanks!
So useful, thank you for theese tips!😍
I’ve easily subscribed to you! Great explanations, so detailed and straight to the point. Beautiful ideas! 💕⭐️

I have about 10 packs of striping tape that I don't even know where it came from and finally had a moment to figure out how to use it. Now to try... Thanks!
Omg never would have thought to remove the tape asap. Thanks for the tips!

Army?
Thank you! This was REALLY REALLY gooooood! Got striping tape for Christmas...now know how to use it....big smile....
Could you do like a haul and show us your top and base coats please I'm just starting to grow my nails so it'd really help
Tried this Hack & trust me it works like charm. Thank you ❤️❤️
Wish I saw this video when it was published! I was (now I learned the lesson because of you, Gabby)! because I was the silly one who waited too long & it LOOKED AWFUL! Also I NOTICED you took the tape off TOWARDS the WET color, another GREAT TIP yet not verbalized - I watched intently so a HUGE SHOUT OUT THANK YOU! I will do it again. Oh, Born Pretty finally has a USA store, so Most Items ship a whole lot FASTER, THANK GOODNESS!
For someone who is gonna buy the brushes and strips this really helps!
Great advice!
Loooove those nails. I bought striping tape from amazon a while ago but haven't used it >_< this definitely inspired me to try out those designs. Awesome vid!! 💜
It helped a lottttttttttttttttttt
My nail art now is perfect

Now I understand why I was doing this wrong. I would wait for my nail polish to dry before removing the tape and it ended up looking nasty and not clean. Thank you for the tips!
Subbed! I started to hate striping tape but I will give it another try!
I just found this video and big thank you!! Videos never show all those details about how to do it, there's is a LOT of things I'm doing wrong lol
Your nails are *perfect* !!!!!!
Taking the tape off before the polish dries is such a good tip, knowing me I would have done everything right except that
the dont examples are so me 😅😩 learned a lot from this video 😇
Thanks. it's well explained with do and dont. Keep it up
I had received 5 rolls of this tape in a art nail kit. I had no idea what it was for accept as an accent. The tape would come off and ruin the design. This is a game changer.
Thank you.💜💙💚💛
I finally found my old roll after a year. I'm excited.
I've never seen your videos before but this was very helpful thank you good job
Cannot wait to try this
Thank you so much! This is gonna be SUPER helpful!!
