  • Keeping your kneadable eraser clean can also help to keep your drawing clean, in this short video I show you how to maintain a clean kneadable eraser. A kneadable eraser is such an asset for any drawing you do and a good brand is essential.

    Darn. So there’s no way to actually get any of the charcoal or graphite out :(

      Not really. If you have a heavy coating of graphite or charcoal on the surface of the eraser, you can rub it off on smooth paper but just pulling and folding it again and again disperses the residue and you can get a long time out of one eraser. 🙂

      Try a gentle cleanser! I use the gentle cleanser from cerave. I already use it on my face so no extra purchasing is necessary. Invest in a good face wash and use it for both!😊
      Folding the eraser merely takes the grime to your hands and hides what's left on the eraser. It doesn't actually clean it, just covers it because there's more eraser material than grime.

    Where did all the dirt go🧐

    • @katejenveyfineart
      @katejenveyfineart  Před rokem

      Haa... good question! The dirt gets dispersed by the eraser being stretched and reworked. Eventually, the eraser will become too grubby and will have to be replaced 🙂

      Oh no! They do last quite a long time if you do this regularly 😊
