      I sell hats and t-shirts. I use corrugated boxes for the hats and poly mailers for the t-shirts. How does the shipping cost include the different packages being used?

    Shopify shipping is the worst. I don't know how small businesses even use Shopify without shelling out hundreds of dollars for the most expensive plan so they can use a carrier-calculated shipping rate app. I thought I finally found a solution until Shopify told me that I needed to upgrade my plan from basic to the most expensive to actually implement it.

    Can you add granular shipping rules? Like if you have a specific box for a specific product? Or lets say you have a box that can fit 2 or the same products, how can you force this at checkout?

    Hey I have a question and Printful and Shopify don’t anwer me probably..If I’m using Shopify with Printful, will my costumers get automatically Tracking Number per e-mail, so they can track their order? And if yes, should I do something in Shopify, like activate something so that this can happen or it’s enough to just download Printful in Shopify and this will then happen? :)

    Hello! I'm new to Shopify and I'm struggling with the saved packages settings. How can I configure custom packages for different products? For example, I've saved small, medium, and large boxes, each for different types of products. However, it appears that Shopify uses the default package to calculate shipping weight and cost. Is there a way to assign specific packages to individual products so Shopify can factor that into the final weight?

      Hey! I'm working on this issue with my own Shopify store, and my understanding is that no you can't. I chatted with Shopify support who suggested weight-based shipping (flat rate, I assume) to work around this. It still doesn't work for my neds.

  • @SWKMusic
    @SWKMusic Před rokem +6

    Just to clarify, it looks like your example is all done with flat rate. For carrier-calculated, is it really only possible to set one "default package"? This seems like a huge limitation (my store will have about 50 products, all different sizes and weights). So in your example if you set a small box (for the coffee mug) as your default package, and then a customer ordered a poster, the carrier calculated rate would go off the dimensions and weight of the small box, so everything would be inaccurate, right? Thanks for any advice!

    • @Curiousthemes
      @Curiousthemes  Před 6 měsíci

      You just need to create a different shipping profile and only put the sale items in it. You will have to set up your shipping rates there again but don't set up the free rates and it will work correctly for you.

    I sell products that are 200-600 lbs. My products come from overseas and ocean freight cost has increased by 500%. Shipping is killing my profit. I want to be competitive so I created shipping rates called Handling Fee. I included a description of the Handling Fee and the rates on the product page. Rates are based on product weight with no cost higher than $97. If I increase my price then my shopping ad will be side by side with those pesky large companies selling at map. What do you suggest is the best option for heavy products? Raise price? Or ?
