Just a suggestion- instead of putting the butter on in slices, try using a box grater and grate the frozen butter and sprinkle it over the cake mix. Less dry spots that way.

This looks divine and I wanted to say, it’s so nice to see someone actually scrape out the can to get all the ingredients out. I cringe when the cooks leave all the good stuff left clinging to the sides of the can or bowl.
If I don’t clean them out as I put things together I do clean them out while waiting for it to cook lol. We are big on scraping the bowl of all the goodies. There is always plenty of fudge or cookie dough or nut bread batter left in the bowl for a treat while waiting for something to cook around my house 😂. I tweeked my apple dessert to the following..i used 1, 4 x4 cake pan, one package of sugar cookies. I used half of the recipe. The carmel pieces.. used Herseys carmel chips. and instead of white or yellow cake mix.. I have 1 spice cake mix (Betty Crocker, super moist with pudding in the mix)., I used 1/2 the cake, it. Save rest for another time. 2 sticks of butter in cubes like you have in video.. this recipe is perfect for my husband and I. might have more people, but I wanted to try it this way. 350 oven for 45 to 50.( more time, it was soupy after 50 minutes)

what can you use instead of ready to bake Carmel cookie dough? my local stores don't carry the Carmel cookie dough your using...well... they don't carry any variation of Carmel cookie dough
It's kind of hard to do that when prices vary from store to store, even state to state. Walmart prices are cheaper than most grocery stores where I live. A box of that particular cake mix is $1.58. It may be more where you live. The only way to know for sure is to get up and go to your local store. Or, if you can't, go online and price the items in your area.

Can't bake?? There are videos on CZcams that can teach you how to make cookies, cake, crumbles, cook apples, make caramel. Oh hell they can even show you how to make butter.
We get a lot of apples from the food Bank and I cook them with brown sugar add cornstarch and put over the cookie dough.
There are sugar free cake mixes. You can also use fresh apples or no sugar added apple sauce.
I like how you flip the whole box in pan at once instead of taking them out one by one .

what can you use instead of ready to bake Carmel cookie dough? my local stores don't carry the Carmel cookie dough your using...well... they don't carry any variation of Carmel cookie dough

I have made this without the carmel corn and instead used some dried cranberries. Same as craisins. It was yummy...

I think it would be more helpful to have a price list of each product. That seems to be too expensive way to make some thing like this.
It's kind of hard to do that when prices vary from store to store, even state to state. Walmart prices are cheaper than most grocery stores where I live. A box of that particular cake mix is $1.58. It may be more where you live. The only way to know for sure is to get up and go to your local store. Or, if you can't, go online and price the items in your area.
