I bought this exact same mower September 2023. I followed the directions and it fired right up. After the first tank of gas I changed the oil out and put organic 30 wt small engine oil in it. Taryl Dactyl recently said that he has seen new mowers wreck the cylinder walls because synthetic oil was used, he said using the synthetic oil during breakin prevented the rings from properly seating. My only complaint is the back flap is too wide and catches on the ground when backing the mower. With a utility knife I cut about an inch and a half off the width of the flap and it works much better. This mower runs good and it cuts thru thick grass and mulches it very well - no complaints after 15 cuttings.
@@joeskull You are welcome. I spent a few weeks looking for a mulching lawn mower with about 7 HP. All the box stores are full of electric mowers now and I specifically wanted a 7 HP push mulching mower with 22 inch cut. This model has 21 inch, but it did everything else I wanted. And I am pleasantly surprised that the single height adjustment lever works as well as it does. Grass cutting is an interesting important subject for me and I will keep you posted.
Yeah, it's about time. I've been putting it off and now my yards are so overgrown that my lawnmower isn't powerful enough to cut it. I gotta go in and cut the whole thing with a weedwhacker.
Yeah that freaked me out. It might have been a return. Person filled the oil then dumped it and the remaining oil leaked and got all over the motor. They specifically say that they are shipped unfilled. It burned off. Awesome mower so far! 🤞🏽

Haa when my old one broke down I tried to finish the job with the weed wacker. I just hacked down the tall parts.
Only issues i have are the handlebars are kinda crooked and the side discharge clogs in taller grass.
I keep that in mind on taller grass. Thanks!
