We never did the DLC's for Control a couple of years ago, so we decided to redo the game in 4K on PC and do the DLCs this upcoming week. We hope you enjoy!
In October 2019, Jesse Faden arrives at the Oldest House following a telepathic message from Polaris, seeking the whereabouts of her kidnapped brother Dylan. Inside the building, Jesse discovers the lifeless body of Zachariah Trench, and is instructed by Polaris to pick up his fallen Service Weapon. Jesse is translocated to the Astral Plane, where the Board immediately appoints her as the new director of the FBC in Trench's stead. Exiting Trench's office, Jesse is attacked by FBC agents possessed by an entity Jesse dubs "the Hiss." Jesse learns that the entire Oldest House is under emergency lockdown following the Hiss's spread, and that everyone in the building has been possessed by the Hiss except those wearing Hedron Resonance Amplifiers (HRAs), devices built by missing Bureau scientist Dr. Casper Darling. Jesse agrees to aid the surviving Bureau agents in reclaiming the building and containing the Hiss, in exchange for seeking Dylan's whereabouts....

He doesn't play every game: some of the more time-intensive games he collaborates with others. His Star Wars: The Old Republic Videos are all done by Yic17 Studio, and I know I've seen footage from others.
I literally just finished this game yesterday before you posted this. Awesome 👍.
I enjoyed this game, there's a ton of details and lore to explore and dig into. I didn't realize Remedy was the studio making these cool games. I recommend. I hope they add more to this game.

79:20 aha! I've got a minor complaint about this. That kind of monitor would never show such a clear image. It would be green (or amber), it would have very visible scanlines and - at best - around 500ish lines of resolution
Alan Wake Remastered and Control, wish I would have watched the cut scenes for both games and bypassed them in playing = Were not fun for me (Played Alan Wake Remaster to its end stopped with control when I talked to Dylan.
Would not be so bad for control, if they had where to go system on the floor with arrows key than, wasting my time running around and going on youtube for location placements etc.... too much wasting time.
Finish watching this (Dylan on) and gonna finally play, Alan Wake 2!!!!!
*Might go bk to Control at a later point not sure.
Hope you do go back for it soon, the DLC have a lot of connections to Alan Wake's story if Alan's the main reason you played Control but also helps expand the world Alan's story takes place in. While navigation is a headache sometimes, it really doesn't take much time til you start remembering where everything is as each floor has its own but still similar architecture

Did not get the lighthouse key when I was suppose to and did not want to load a way back save if I had one to see if I can get it.
New Game plus mode going to leave the case in the sheriff's office alone and make sure that is the last cult one i open and I should get that dam key!!!!
Definitely, will redo Control and do the DLC's but only after beating Wake 2 and getting that dang key!!!!!

ok soo basicly this games pritty much wike a CIA version of the SCP foundation 😄 (im not allowed to give details on tat) ok but in a diff. simple term this games about a super natral version of the FBI or CIA and all tat stuff 😄 but for somone such as myself the games praticly the SCP foundation just wif an FBI/CIA twist too it as its about the player being thrust into a building tat works based off of somthing similure to real world FBI stuff only the stuff are super natral objects tat chu gotta calm down or re-claim

Well it's kind of been spoiled already if you haven't seen most of it 😂 But after a traumatic unexplainable event in her home town she goes to the FBC to find her brother while fighting back the Hiss with her Paranatural abilities

A song plays during the muted segment. Only thing I can think of is that it was intentionally muted for copyright reasons, but then that one whole song plays during the endless maze segment so I'm not sure
I have a 3080 RTX and a 1440p monitor with 165 Hz refresh rate. I can play the game at max graphics (including ultra Ray Tracing) and pull about 85-100 fps. My problem is everytime I enter a live action video or cutscene, I get major screen tearing and studders (vsync on/off doesn't change anything). Are the cutscenes only optimized for 60fps? I don't see an fps limiter in the game settings either. Is anyone else having this problem?
Edit: I've noticed most games (especially console ports) will let you play at the highest fps possible but limit cutscenes to 30 or 60 fps, Control doesn't do that and it's a little older so that's why I think that's my problem, but idk for sure.

Yes Alan wake or at least similar events happen in this, one of the DLC will give more information on that that is coming later

There is the AWE DLC which well Alan wake and the darkness feature quite heavily in it.

Glad my game didn't look this bad.
Mine was at 4k, max graphics and using reshade to make the game look 300 percent better!!!!!
So glad I found out about using reshade and what options are best to use for most games.
Another one of those games where you have no idea what's going on.

If it wasn't because this game doesn't have new game + I'd play it yearly, but replaying it would have me forsake my favorite gun upgrade, the shotgun with the -100% spread which turns it into a Magnum revolver (legally a shotgun with slugs) and I just don't wanna play without it since it gives me a great sense of immersion.

Such a disappointment this game was. Boring story that doesn't go anywhere. Max Payne is still the best Remedy game.

The story to this game was trash
The story of alan wake and control are junk. Resident Evil, Doom games etc... have solid stories that make sense and keep people wanting more.
Wake 1 and Control (Control have parts blocked out in the reads didn't help. Made people not care after awhile for answers were not there). Too much fragmented story, too much unidentifiable matters......leaves a gamer bored, uninterested. Like reading a book with every 3 page removed and chapters missing.....end up wanting to just stop and move on.
Which I did. Hopefully, Wake 2 will be done properly.
