I remember watching this clip like 14 years ago it gave me so much motivation on not giving up and pushing every single day until I reached these times and finally I did I usually sub 10 but it’s incredible when you set a goal on achieving something and succeeding it CZcams has given so much motivation on people
@casablancavic the keys to a cube that doesn't lock up: 1) It's not Rubik's brand. 2) It's DIY, so you can adjust its tension. 3) It's tolerant to mis-alignment. What's misalignment? 0:16 is a good example. The side closest to him is way off, but when he turns another side, it snaps into place. I would suggest a Ling Yun III or a GuHong.
I totally agree. Once you've learnt all the OLL and PLL algs it's simply a matter of practice, mainly working on getting the cross and F2L done efficiently.
I'm currently practising 3-4 hours per day and my best time is 45 seconds after a week of learning Fridrich, sub 10 seconds just seems impossible. The fact that Feliks can do this a ton of other cubes in world class times is just amazing and i have only respect for him as probably the greatest cuber of all time.
@LeroyRifkin Theres an angle allowance, I can't remember the exact angle, though, if you stop the solve just 1 turn off its counted as a +2 seconds to your time.
wow even in slo-mo i can barely tell what hes doing. also i dont know exactly how many times this is slowed down but it was only 7 seconds slower than my best time normally. :O
@fazdad1 Thank you. You are the little brother of Feliks, right? Lol, I thought that you are himself^^ What is his actually record? FunCuber. If you like, answer
I always use white as base, is it really important to be able to use any color as base to improve your speed solve or just stick with one?? FYI, my average is about 32 sec and best record is 24.57 sec....
@ryanklang - It's not a pattern, hahaha. It's called the Fridrich Method. Just search it on you tube, you'll find a million tutorials for the first 2 layers (F2L). The last layer (OLL and PLL) you'll have to search separately. They usually have separate videos.

Hello. i am interrestd about your cube. What cube is it? And: In fridrich methode the first thing what you do is the cross, i think. I cannot see that you build a cross??? Plz Give some answers. :)
1 second to do the cross at the bottom + 3 second to complete two layers + 1 second for orientation + 2 second for permutation + = 7 seconds for first solve about the same thing with the second solve except he took less time to identify the permutation
Sorry can someone tell me if there is rules to how far you complete the cube? Cause on that last solve, one of the sides was pretty badly out of line even though the cube was complete. I would have thought the judges would have been hell strict on that kind of shit.
To beat that you don't need special method. Keep with Fridrich or Roux, practice, look ahead, learn algs. You can become sub20 if you practice with enough patience.

to be honest, sometimes i come back to this video for the music in the background. like today!
WAIT, this is the speed of his vision!
This kid is my idol... and I'm a year and a half older. I get in the 30's, and this is insane.
your son is VERY talented: even in slow motion i could not be faster than him
It's really fascinating to see it in slowmotion. Thanks for this video!
Thanks! It's good to see that he wasted 0.1 seconds on PLL recognition. :P
that gperm totally blew my mind
great vid you can really see it go down like this
super cool, maybe better than some walktrough solves out there, thanks a lot fazdad!
@fazdad1 Yes, I saw it when it came out. Thanks for uploading it!
I can't see what he is doing even if it is in slow motion O.o my eyes can't keep up with that kind of speed!
I hope he beat his own record in melbourne winter 2012, good luck for feliks and thanks for the answer.
Can I just say, your son is good at the cube.

The length of this video is less than my average solve time
+JJ Sevins xD same here
+JJ Sevins xD same here
OMG, I can follow it well in this speed. Impossible to do solves like this that fast:D
Like a boss.
I totally agree. Once you've learnt all the OLL and PLL algs it's simply a matter of practice, mainly working on getting the cross and F2L done efficiently.
i couldnt beat either of them even when they were in slow motion
You're the Einstein and Michael Phelps of cube !!
Ikr..it takes me the time to make the cross as long as it takes him to solve the cube
Ātri gan liek! :) Vismaz Latvieši ko māk!

whats your pb now?
Epic!
i remember getting excited to solve one side...
12 movements in a sec ? cool !
very impressive
Que maquina.
the slow motion is even faster than me!
how and where can i find more of this beatiful music? please tell me, i cant get it out of my head anymore
Must be pretty proud FazDAD :-P
@Slst09 Yes, they can. The cubes are scrabled totally random. Most of the past world records was PLL-skips.
cool!
@FunCuber89 Feliks build the cross on the D layer (bottom layer). That's why you can not see he build the cross.
He bet my time in slow motion [ insert sadface ]
@macvaxx he just does any side that is easiest to start with, thats why he sometimes has a different color on top.
can you tell me the name of the song..
or can u give me the download link of this song..i like it very much...
thanks
@LeroyRifkin

He solves it so beautifully. Those fucking fingers & that dear speed. God almighty how does he see so far ahead?!!
still faster than most people in slow motion
Wow, the world record hasn't PLL-skip o_O
this guy solves the rubiks cube different than any other method, my method would take at least 49 seconds
@fazdad1 Thank you. You are the little brother of Feliks, right?
Lol, I thought that you are himself^^ What is his actually record?
FunCuber. If you like, answer
wow he could achieve that speed with any color on top. wtf!
@LeroyRifkin - If a layer is out of alignment by 45 degrees or more, it's +2 sec.
I always use white as base, is it really important to be able to use any color as base to improve your speed solve or just stick with one?? FYI, my average is about 32 sec and best record is 24.57 sec....
interesting choice of music- what language is that in?
The guy behind Feliks at 1:53 ..."Shit.. all my dreams have been destroyed"
EPICNUSH
While watching, I was thinking it took him forever to get the white cross on that first solve. Then I realized he was solving the yellow side first.
@antijelly His slow motion was faster than me making the cross... Pretty amazing! What method does he use?
today I got a new best of 28.06 single, but my averages are still up around 40 seconds, but ill keep practising and thanks for the interest :)
Nice video :-)
thanks :D
He uses neutral cross, he can make crosses on any side, any color
which camera was used to record this / which program for editing?
His slow motion speed is like 5 times faster than me
@ryanklang - It's not a pattern, hahaha. It's called the Fridrich Method. Just search it on you tube, you'll find a million tutorials for the first 2 layers (F2L). The last layer (OLL and PLL) you'll have to search separately. They usually have separate videos.
I want this version of the song!
Thumbs up if you would like to see a slowmotion vid about the 4x4 WR.
fazdad1 you support feliks in trainnings? competitions and stuff? (sorry about my english)
@macvaxx some cubers pick a color that has the most edge peices already making up the cross...so thats probobly why haha
I need a slow motion of this slow motion. :(
Domoy ne nee see nee nee me STROUSA... na nay meme nee nee mee ne nay STROUSA.
everything in one look, sure? and what do you think, does he use F2L algs ore does he do it intuitively?
he must be...... CHUCK NORRIS IN DISGUISE
lol jking felix is too god for cubes
Casio EX-ZR100 shoots up to 1000 fps. GoPro Hero 2 does 120 fps in WVGA. Etc...
Both cost around $300. I'm tempted to buy him one myself.
52 years?!?!?!?!1
hey what cube do you use in competition and what cube is that? i am looking for a good speed cube to get
@2020hafiz This looks like Cubesmith cube. But I think that is a GuHong just stickered with Cubesmith stickers.
@renzeljoy It's not a pattern, hahaha. It's called the Fridrich Method. Just search it on you tube, you'll find a million tutorials for the first 2 layers (F2L). The last layer (OLL and PLL) you'll have to search separately. They usually have separate videos.
he manages to solve the cube in less time than it takes me to do a G perm....
Hello.

Plz Give some answers. :)
1 second to do the cross at the bottom +
3 second to complete two layers +
1 second for orientation +
2 second for permutation +
= 7 seconds for first solve
about the same thing with the second solve except he took less time to identify the permutation
Thats me in fast forward.
@lolageontoast
It is called look ahead, you solve One F2L pair and ant The Same Time you Look for The next F2L pair ;)
if you want to break the 1 minute mark, try using lars petrus method,
LOL
which editing program is this?
So young
You should ask him to do a tutorial video for his method. I can't get any faster than 40s with the method I use.
Lol in that slow motion speed is how fast I solve one in reality
it took me 1 year to finish only one...
Sorry can someone tell me if there is rules to how far you complete the cube? Cause on that last solve, one of the sides was pretty badly out of line even though the cube was complete. I would have thought the judges would have been hell strict on that kind of shit.

what algorithm is that his using? he just does UR and UL turns most of the times with some F turns looks like
Thats me at very fast speed.
Australia represent
That was how fast he saw it when he solved it o.0
He sees the PLL & is like oh ok, this will take 0.89 secs.
@fazdad1 thank you so much!
What pll did you use for the 6.77?
yes people do indeed get to the age of 52 years these days...
he did like 18 moves in a second
even in slow motion its fast
Thats me at regular speed...
ooooh!!! so the type of rubik cube has something to doo i just have the cheap original one :S
whats the name of this song
@FunCuber89 The cross is on the bottom
