- Bobs sets Tom the challenge of catching a Eel while we where waiting for the carp to bite on our 2023 trip to france....I dont know why he took this challenge.....
Great stuff. I used to enjoy catching eels (well, decent sized ones at least) at The Bacon Factory pond near Sherburn in Elmet, back in the day 😅 full of eels and cracking tench
the bigger ones put up a good scrap
Some lovely fish lads ,… don’t like catching eels to be honest although quite a few years ago I caught one that I just had to weigh at Morton - on -swale ….. just under 5lb it was !!!! Lovely fish but it’s just all that bloody slime 🤣🤣🤣🤣…..
Love it at the end when ya said I’ve had enough of catching em …

Catching eels on demand is not they easiest task, especially in day light so well done.
there were loads in there some bigger ones as well

i remeber in the 90s fishing the witham nr lincoln. caught hundreds and hundreds of small eels bout 1/2 pound. dont seem to see them these days.

great to see those eels. just one question if they were carp you would be using an unhooking matt and craddle. any particular reason not for eels? those fish you caught were probably over 30 years old. please treat them with the respect and care they deserve.
dont eels move across land lol bit of a knit pick there maybe they only move when theres a red carpet for them.....its the daftest comment i have ever seen...
what, in case the grass damages the soft eel flanks?
