  • Are you frustrated with CZcams's persistent bug of not updating your video's title and description language after editing and saving changes? Join the club! In this video, I share my experience with this irritating issue and how I took it up with CZcams's internal team.
    Facing the Same Problem?
If you've been struggling with your video's metadata not updating properly, you're not alone. I encountered this annoying issue too, and I recorded a video to showcase the problem and forwarded it to CZcams's internal team for resolution.
    Annoying Responses from CZcams:
Unfortunately, their responses have been anything but helpful. Most of the time, they provide generic suggestions like clearing cache and cookies, which rarely resolve the issue. As specialists, you'd expect more effective solutions, right?
    Let's Investigate Together:
I'd love to hear from you! In the comment section, let me know if you've encountered similar problems when changing the title and description language. Has your metadata been updating correctly, or are you facing the same frustrating bug?

After a long time, I was able to understand it. Actually, it is not a bug that you need to fix instead it's a method you should use accurately.
Let's say, a video is in Hindi Language with English Subtitles. Then the Video Language should be Hindi and the Title and Description Language should be English.
But when you try to set your own desired Language in the Title and Description filed, then it automatically reverts back.
This is because if you want to set let's say English (United States) instead of English alone then you first need to add English (US) Title and Description (you can also include Subtitles, if you wish to) from the Subtitles section.
Then you will be able to set the Title and Description Language to English (US).
This is usually done to increase the reach of your video, where you can Multiple Titles and Descriptions and Subtitles to a video from the Subtitles section.
So, when people will be searching for the same content in their Region Language that you have also added then your content might appear to them.
If you want to try, then you can add Top 10 Languages that your Audience speaks to a few of your videos and after a few days you can see the Translation Views in the Analytics, what impact it does on you channel. Have you see Translated Views are coming with a good Watch Time then you can continue to add more Titles, Descriptions, and Subtitles to your other videos.
BE CAUTION: LET'S SAY YOU ADDED A DIFFERENT TITLE AND DESCRIPTION FOR ENGLISH (US) THEN THEY PRE-CONFIGURED ENGLISH LANGUAGE SET FOR YOUR VIDEO. SO, LATER IF YOU WILL CHANGE THE TITLE AND DESCRIPTION LANGUAGE TO ENGLISH (US) THEN IT COULD HIGHLY IMPACT YOUR VIDEO TRAFFIC AS THE ENGLISH (US) TITLE AND DESCRIPTION COULD HAVE A COMPLETELY UNIQUE KEYWORDS IN THE TITLE AND DESCRIPTION THAT COULD HEART THE TRAFFIC. SO, I WILL RECOMMEND TO TRY WITH 5 VIDEOS. THAT LAST 5 VIDEOS FROM TOP 50 TO SEE THE IMPACT AFTER A FEW DAYS HAVING A GOOD AMOUNT OF ORIGINAL TRAFFIC.

@@TheTeacherYou're right and then again you're not. Yes, I was able to fix my problem this way with many clicks. But it is still a bug since (1) not only did it work without these shenanigans until recently, but(2) the UI should certainly not reply "Changes saved" if there was in fact an error and nothing was changed. What's more sometime this week YT changed the settings to my existing videos which all had the title and description language correctly set to English. It is very clearly their fault, not the user's.
