- Review of the Masters of the Universe Origins Turtles of Grayskull Shredder Figure that is part of the wave 2 series. I also mix and match some parts between the Origins Shredder and Origins Skeletor figure.
I was not planning on getting any of these TOG but I couldn’t pass this one up. He works so well as just an original MOTU evil warrior. I have him inside my Snake Mountain, plotting with 2OOx Skeletor. Those spikes on him hurt! Great review as always!

I would say this Turtles of Grayskull Shredder is a must have figure to add to the Regular Origins or the TOG series if you decide to collect any of those figures. He looks like he could have part of the vintage line in the day and just looks cool. The spikes are definitely sharp on the armor!
The one figure I am kind of surprised we haven’t heard about is a Footclan Foot Soldier to go with this line. I could see them as ether a Horde Trooper blow apart robot or a Skeleton Warrior. Usagi Yojimbo would also make an amazing action figure for this line!
Thanks for watching! I can almost guarantee a foot soldier coming to this line at some point. We are barely on wave two, and there is one box set out with that Mouse Jaw. They have all kinds of figures planned for the Turtles, cartoon lines, and the rest of the vintage inspired Origins. As long as the sales satisfy Mattel. We could see all the popular Turtles characters cross over figures in one form or another!👌

Hey Damon! I agree. Shredder fits perfectly in with the Origins line. He looks like he could have been a figure in the vintage line in the day. That helmet head works great on any of the Male origins figure for customs. I'm very happy with this figure for the turtles of the greyskull line for sure! Thanks for stopping by as always 👍💯

I never collected any turtles figures in the past, and I wasn't sure how I would feel about this crossover. But now that I got a few and reviewed them. I'm hooked! I can't wait for more to come along with the other Vintage inspired Origins in the spring 👍

Yeah, I think the Turtles of Grayskull line gave shredder a good look with the new armor and head , but using tooled Origins parts like the body and Horde boots. The art and teases in the comic look awesome! Thanks for watching as always and sharing your positive comments on this Shredder figure 👍

This Shredder is probably one of my favorites so far in Series 2. You can Definitely combine Shredder with te Origins Keldor very simular to the Skeletor Parts Swapping I showed. Thanks for watching 👍

I really like this figure! I am a big TMNT fan, but up to this figure the crossover between these brands didn't get me excited. However, I love this Shredder crossover. He looks tough and oh boy those eyes! Great review, it sure got me excited!

I’m debating picking these up, I think I’ll at least get the masters of the universe figures but haven’t decided on the turtle part. I’m still working on masterverse and origins. I still haven’t gotten a single classics so it’s hard I’m trying to complete masterverse first.
Thanks for stopping in already to check out this review! I think this line will be a hit or miss for many people who collect the regular origins. Yeah, there's a lot of Masters of the Universe figures to collect between the Origins, Classics, and Masterverse. We can only collect so much at a time because of money or space.

Man, I can’t wait to get this guy in my collection. He looks fuckin dope!! I’ve been waiting for a shredder to add to my display case, and what better way for it to be in origins figure lol.
Even though I won’t be collecting them all, this line is taking me by surprise.
I’d prefer his feet looking more human, simple fix with a quick swap.
But overall, great figure. This and ram man are the best looking in the wave. The skeketor mix and match looked awesome!!

You can swap whatever feet you want from other figures to give the look you want. I just used Skeletor boots and parts as an example without making the video too long. Using this Shredder to parts swap with other Origins figures and accessories can be an hour long video in itself because of his head and the armor pieces that can go on most figures. Ram, man, also looks cool. I just got him in yesterday. I'm gonna review Raph next. I really like this line, and Shredder is a must-have for the collection✌️
I didn’t care for the motu wwe line , I just don’t like wwe other than ultimate warrior. But this motu tmnt line is great . Mattel put lot of effort into it, new sculpts and accessories, really nice comic books , new art work . I think this line will sell more than the origins because kids might actually be into this because most kids like turtles where else I don’t think kids cared about the origins line.

I'm all about the vintage inspired figures, and I hope Mattel finishes up the rest of the line like they promised. However, I also really like this turtles crossover for the Origins. I think it might sell a little better at retail, to more kids, as you mentioned, because of the Turtles brand being mixed with the MOTU muscle look with Origins 👍
I want to see the shredder head and armor on a taller 6 or 7 in scaled body.

It is slightly annoying that Donnie's helmet isn't removable but man, if that blond wig is permanently attached to Mikey's head I am going to flip out! 🤣

@hegga_nm Yeah, I think Mikey will be in wave three with Leather neck and K C Jones from what I heard with rumors. Possibly that other Teela with the Turtle armor in the comics. Splinter will be an exclusive figure from what I also read.
I never could find trap jaw when it came out I went to target and there was for 25.00 bucks mouse jaw .really disappointed they couldn't get the reagular versions out to people that wanted them but these are everywere .shredder looks ok .great video as always .
Thanks for watching as always! Yeah, the first Trap-jaw was different to find, and I think he had more of an international release and was limited in the USA at the time. I got mine on eBay a long time ago. Mouse jaw looks interesting for a Trap-jaw variant. But it's still disappointing for collectors who never found the original release, as you mentioned. I honestly like this Shredder figure for the Origins! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍

Is the idea that Shredder joined the Horde? His face made me think he became one of the snake men..
Is it possible to shredder now has something to do with the Horde because of the boots, and they teased the slime pit a couple of times with a shredder Skull on the top. But I haven't seen anything in the comics yet aside shredder is working with Skeletor. Thanks for watching 👍
I picked up Mouse Jaw and the Mutated He-Man, but these might be the only 2 I'll get. I really do like the concept and mashup they are doing of the 2 franchises, but the He-Man body types they are doing them all in... Not really my style. And the little tiny thong underwear on each one... Not my style... But very cool concept and new artwork is what I am all about 😎👍
If anything, I'm going to do some modding on these 2 figs

I expected them to use the same Origins bodies and loon clothes for these. But of course, new heads and accessories. The new Mutated He-man is really cool with the size and translucent body. I can see this line or certain figures being hit or miss for many Origins collectors!

I think shredder and many of these TOG figures look like they could have been part of the MOTU vintage line in the day and fit perfectly in Origins. And I'm usually all about the Vintage inspired figures first. Congrats on getting the first wave of figures. I'm not sure where you got them from! Maybe see if there is a shipping or tracking number. The ideas for parts Swapping is endless with other figures like Shredder and Mutated He-man. That can be an hour plus custom video. Can you do a parts swap with Shredder, ToG Skeletor with the Gitd skeleton warrior bodies? I was wondering how an undead skeleton Shredder and ToG Skeletor would look. Would their heads, boots and armor pieces fit the skeleton bodies?
Thanks for checking out the review! Are you referring to the wave 3 TOG Skeletor mixed with shredder parts? Or the Skeleton Warrior two pack figures? I reviewed those a while and showed what comes apart and what would probably work with other MOTU figures. The TOG line wasn't out at the time. I have the TOG Wave 3 Skeletor in card. I haven't reviewed him yet. He is next on my list.
@@Themanchlid I was thinking of both wave 3 TOG Skeletor and TOG Shredder’s muscular bodies swapped with the two Gitd chunky skeleton bodies while keeping their own heads, boots and armor. Basically stripping those two bodies of flesh into Gitd bones. I got all of them on order but unlikely to get them soon. Was hoping to see how they’d look with the upcoming Necro-Conda as a trio of Gitd.
@ykheng7145 OK, I got you. There's all kinds of custom ideas and setups that can be done with these figures. I only demonstrate a few ideas that are probably the most common with these figures or what I have available. I try to keep the video time down, and I can't do everything during the reviews because of time, and it turns out to be more of a hangout instead of a review on that figure. I'm not sure how all those parts will work off the top of my head without trying it. It's not something I personally would customize with my figures. I guess the best thing to recommend is that once you get your order in with those figures, then break all the parts down you can and see what fits and what doesn't. That other other Skeletor I haven't reviewed yet. So im not sure what is removable yet. But once I review him, I will break everything down in the review.
@@Themanchlid cool. Thanks dude! It’ll help to know which parts are compatible. Love how you tested everything out in the skeleton warriors review. That gave me the idea to try out a Gitd undead shredder.
@ykheng7145 No problem! Yeah, it's best to check out those other reviews I showed or even different reviews from other channels that might have tried something different with those figures. For the most part, many of the parts can be used on other figures. I think Skeleton Warriors had different pegs in the arms and things like that.
I don't see myself getting many of these figures other than the turtles and Shredder. I might do some parts swapping with Shredder. If you want an unmasked Shredder, you could use Space Sumo.
I think this line will be hit and miss for many people. Certain figures like the Turtles and Shredder will probably be the most wanted by fans of both The Turtles and Origins line. I'm fine with the mask being its own thing! Space Sumo is an interesting idea for an unmasked head. But I think he looks too tame for a Shredder head. Thanks for watching as always 👍
@@Themanchlid Yeah, he would be a little tame but maybe he finally dined on some turtle soup. I saw Trap Jaw but passed on it. I just didn't want to buy it just to buy it. Shredder with no chest armor on reminds me of the old Playmates shirtless figure.

I'm not sure! I thought I also noticed a tail on Mer-Man in the comic when I looked at it better after the review. That would be an interesting Mutant Mer-Man for the Origins Turtles! Thanks for watching 👍

@M_of_the_U Yeah, I noticed the tail later in the comic.
Maybe Shredder is really Hordak (Due to the boots) and thats why he was shown with the Slime Pit .. afterall why would a TMNT person be associated with a MOTU characters playset.
That's possible with the MOTU/ TMNT crossover. Or maybe they already have tooled Horde boots and decided to just add it to Shredder to Market more mixing of parts for this crossover line. Plus, the comics show Shredder both in his time on earth and then later on Eternia with Krang and Skeletor. Of course, the crossover makes sense to mix a TMNT person with a playset that's a fictional piece from Eternia, like the slime pit with the Shredder helmet to help possibly market a Slime pit playset to come for the this line to retail with the hopes it will sell better with the TMNT inspiration mixed with MOTU instead of just MOTU Origins, as the brand itself doesn't sell well at retail or has been on clearance. But that's just what I think personally.
