You kind of talked in a circle for 3 minutes and then boom,,,,, you fixed a problem Ive been dealing with for literally months. I thought for sure this was a bug and I was going to update to try to fix this. Unbelievable. You have to uncheck this box even after you check " enable advanced" so that it supposedly stops acting like garage band. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!!! You made my day, my week etc etc
This has been bugging me for ages and your video completely fixed the issue. Thank you!
The intended topic of this video isn't what I was looking for, but you did solve my problem--what I was looking for was to check mark the Software Monitoring box. Mine was unchecked and so I wasn't getting the reverb on my vocals. Thank you.
AAAh Thank you so much for this! You have solved my problem of the day! I had no idea how to find that box to check! I appreciate you! :)
Simple, direct, short and sweet, but not rushed! Thank you Thank you! :)
I really had to leave you a comment because you really did help me I couldn’t figure out how to enable my plug-in and I looked at a lot of different CZcams‘s you got right to the point thank you💯🙏🏾✊🏾
You're awesome man! My Logic reset itself after a crash. Your guide helped me seconds from pulling my hair out. Thank you!
Yay!!! Seems like I need to re-learn Logic every time I'm in it... you saved me a ton of frustration. Subscribing now!
Man, I have been bothered by this for months now. I'm glad I came accross this video. Thank you!
finally! thanks a lot for this video logic band!
Couldn't hear Voice Over during this demo but to be honest your narration is so precise I didn't lose anything. Thank you.
This was a VoiceOver free version of a tutorial that is already on the channel with VoiceOver.
THANK YOU MAN!!!!!! I was going nuts....and now it's resolved!!
YOU ARE THE MAN ive been using logic for years now and never knew how to fix this. I thought logic just sucked hahaha
My hero! Thanks for clearing this up!
The second check did it for me, many thanks!
Just what i needed thanks!
Thank you. Clear simple explanation. Solved my problem.
u just saved me 30 mins of re installing waves cr@ked, I thought it was the cause of it all, was working fine before so I don't know how it reset itself. thanks!
Yess man solved a problem.. didn't know why effects for guitar wasn't working .. thanks again... blessings..
thank you ! I was getting ready to return my audio interface !
Thank you so much! Trying to internally patch through USB (and then monitor) all 16 stereo audio pairs of my Roland Fantom has taken nearly there days to figure out - and every variation I tried fell over at keeping the monitoring on without having to record the audio at the same time as the MIDI was just not working out until this!
Thank you so much!!!!
SOLVED MY PROBLEM PERFECTLY!
Bro. THANK you for this video. Your concise explanation has helped me with this.
Have turned up the Bus Aux which had sends and seems to work now ! Thanks
Thank You! I was about to turn crazy! love
Awesome, not sure how I never knew this until now.
Thank you so much!!!!! Only video that helped me 😂 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Just a tidbit here, I just experienced a similar problem and it was due to one of my plugins being out of date. So it wouldn’t let any audio play, not monitoring or recorded audio. Once I disabled that particular plugin I could hear myself again. If you do all this and it still doesn’t work then try disabling your plugins to see if one of them are causing the issue. For me it was auto-tune.
This is standard for plug ins that need to be authorized or activated to not pass audio until they are. Glad you were able to resolve your issue and thanks for sharing here as well incase someone else has a similiar issue.
love this. thank you
i never knew this - thanks!
Thanks so much for this. I downloaded Ginger Audio's Caster and the program changed this setting (I sure didn't)...it happened on 2 of my computers....all in ONE DAY.
One computer had the free version and the other had the paid version and by the end of the day I was tearing my hair out, but this saved me. Thanks again.
dzięki ziom, po update nie działał mi odsłuch w dupe węża. I udało się to naprawić przy pomocy twojego filmu homie
Right on! Thanks a lot for this video.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!
I had a slightly different problem, but this video helped me figure it out. Thanks!

You are the life savior...
Life saver
My i bottom has removed it so is there any solution to this
legend
Coming from pro tools this killed me my first 2 hours in logic lol
Very helpful. Thank you! Maybe you can answer this: How can I monitor a track that I am trying to record (or merge) on top of? For example: If I have a midi track and want to add a few notes to it or add some sustain pedal automation to it in record mode I cannot actually hear that track play once I've hit the record button. I know there is a way but I just can't figure it out.
@@LogicBand: Thanks for your reply: There is a check box in the "Customize control bar" settings (if that is the one you are referring to) but it did not effect this issue either way. Perhaps you are referring to a different setting (?)There has to be a setting somewhere but I just can't find it.
I'm trying to rehearse myself playing guitar over a song before recording. Input Monitoring works perfectly till I hit PLAY. The rest of the tracks are loud and clear. The Guitar goes silent. I stop the Playback, and the Guitar sound comes back. Any suggestions?
@@LogicBand I have the same issue, and ticking off the 'input monitoring only for the focused track' box isn't doing the trick unfortunately. The monitoring still falls silent when I hit play.
I found the solution! Tick OFF the R button (Record), and suddenly the Input Monitoring also works when you hit Play.
Under "Track" when pressing the info button, I don't have any EQ options, no individual or stereo output nobs, nothing, it's just blank. Please help
in the mixer toolbar check the view options some of the elements may be unchecked.
hi i need help, im new to logic when I click a track I hear feedback noise and also hear my self speaking in the background. I don't know what I pressed or how to turn that off so I can hear my recorded audio without feedback sounds in the background. please help thank you
Sounds like you may have input monitoring, turned on, press, control, I to disable it.
How do your record your voice over to hear what you hear through your headphones?
What microphone are you using to record with for logic and what kind of boom arm do you have?
I have changed my set up a few times over the years and i don’t remember what i would of been using around this time.
Thank you! But I have another problem. My input monitoring only works when my project isn't playing. Very annoying
Hi whenever I am recording a guitar ,bass or any sound source that comes in thru the preamps of my interface it’s as if I am hearing two sources at the same time one whith effects or presets I selected in logic and one clean as if it’s the signal coming in from the interface , do you know anything that could help me ?
Thank you in advance
Regards
Blue Redman
you need to disable direct monitoring on your interface. On some its a blend knob and you will need to turn it fully clockwise to only get the sound from the computer. Some its a button to turn it on or off. Consult your interface's documentation for details.
@@LogicBand infinite thanks you saved my day , I thought it could probably be that but in my interface Input Monitoring is only selectable from the software anyway problem solved
I am having an issue today where I do not even have a button for input monitoring
There is only Mute, Solo and record
Use the key command Control I or Right click on the track header (VO Shift M) and go down to track header components and select input monitoring from the sub menu
I don’t have the green bar at all but I’m getting signal on my interface , you know what’s up with that?
it's possible you have direct monitoring enabled on your interface. This passes the signal directly from the inputs to the outputs or headphone jack. Turn off direct monitoring and turn on input monitoring in Logic to see your levels on the Logic meters.
I’m hearing a ping on track on my logic as I am recording. Could be from my phone…how do I stop interference. Just turn off Wi-Fi devices?
I have a question how come I only hear sound coming out one headphones it’s doing that on every headphones I use
I am guessing that you are probably using direct monitoring on your interface. Unless the interface has a mono button on it, direct monitoring will be in stereo. So for example whatever is plugged into input one will only be heard on the left and whatever is plugged into input 2 will only be heard on the right. If you turn off direct monitoring and use input monitoring in Logic then you should hear it up the middle. Consult your interface documentation to see how to turn off direct monitoring.
fucking saved my jam capabilities
My input signal aren’t panning, what can I do?
was this sorted by the completion of the tutorial? Chances are if its not panning you may still have direct monitoring on.
My vocals is being picked up bite it’s really low none of this is working
I seem to have a lot of static noise when I turn the software monitoring on any way I can fix this ?
That probably depends on what interface you are using and whether you got the input gain on it turned up too high or what you are connecting to it. A few variables to consider here, Would need more info to say with more certainty.
@@LogicBand I bought myself a FiFine Usb microphone doesn’t have a interface , just plug and play sorta thing as it’s USB
@@LogicBand it does have a volume knob or gains knob to turn up and down the vol /gains . Also
@@iamchannelll If you aren't connecting it directly to your mack, but connecting through a hub or etc, try connecting directly to the Mac. Also maybe worth trying direct monitoring if the USB mic in question has a headphone jack on it. Turn off input monitoring in Logic in that case and use the blend or mix knob on the microphone to control hearing a mix of yourself and what's playing back in Logic at the same time.
@@LogicBand hi , I’ve checked and it doesn’t come with a audio jack on the mic , it’s a FiFine k669B microphone and I have been plugging it directly to the MacBook but not sure why the sound is coming out like white noise even when I turn down the volume on the mic all the way it’s still there
Thx. Piece of cake. Once you find it 😂
I don't what to say, for like 10 years I thought there was no solution for this and I had to baby sit and arm tracks for live shows, and you completely changed my life lol. THANK YOU!
