Also mentioning modi moved into that area made no sense.. prime minister's and lok sabha elected ministers move there in government houses would have made it a better reporting and neutral video
True - the way she is speaking made me laugh😂
Almost all the houses are owned by the Government and used by senior Government officials and ruling politicians. A few are in private hands, mostly of people who have been living there since the 1940s. Some belong to various Embassies
How do Senior government officials afford them?!
@@TanviBhardwajT1997 They are owned by the Government of India and alloted as living quarters to the officers and Ministers. They vacate the house once they retire or are transferred to some other place. Some politicians do try to hold onto them, even after their term is over and they are not entitled to live there any more
@@TheBandana1969 But still many ex-ministers and top notch bureaucrats who are not in service still occupies them despite orders of Supreme courts......... That's the sad reality..... koi kiraya nahi..... aur bhi kitna maza

It's not khan its cannaught place
Thank you sir, for this valuable knowledge that you provided us
I live in the pandara flats and the air is much better than other places. Also you have plenty of parks which add to the greenery. Plus minimal traffic jams so not much honking so the place is quite peaceful. Truly a luxury.
why tf do u have ilisha's pic?
I'm better off living in Punjab's countryside in a house that cost 35 lakh to build with greenery all around, fresh air to breath.
Bro but you don't get the facilities of Delhi there, if have better option to live in my hometown in Uttrakhand surrounded by beautiful Himalayas but that will come with a price of not having the facilities and opportunities as in Delhi
@@parveshbisht4955 Which facilities are you talking about? 24 hours access to electricity, clean water and air, nil traffic, fast internet connectivity, and a big SUV earned from farm output. What else you need man.
maybe fresh air but ur water is polluted bro! move to Canada !
@@simerpreet6703 opportunities include fraternising with the most powerful people in country and living on the most coveted and sought out land in India. It gives you opportunities that one can't really imagine. Bijli, Paani isn't everything my dear. Home in the Lutyens zone is more about making a statement. Some people want Power, or atleast the feeling of it.
@@thedudelebowski5137 so living to show off your money status...yea fresh air and greenery sounds like a better deal.
Living with 100 million dollar house with a little smog to breathe in. That's luxury
Smog problem is not there because it is surrounded by trees and greenery.
@chandrakant Singh Pratap air quality in Delhi is one of the worst in the world having trees is almost insignificant.
With a $100 million dollars you're better off living in USA, Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand, UAE or a European country. Wow I finally found this video after 4 years! I shot this Video for Atul Pratap Chauhan :D
100 million dollars is the (white) value of these homes that is the on paper value but the market (actual) value ranges till 250 million dollars
And as absurd as this cost sounds it’s actually true
I don't think most of these houses are on sale? Rarely you'll ever find them ready for new owners
@@BHARATIYAofINDIA exactly my point, if it is not for sale then no one cares what it's worth is. Get it?
The more the years any owner keeps them the more the value of the property rises.
The highest ever sale of a bungalow in India was for $120 million (Rs. 720 crore), a mansion in South Mumbai. There has never been a 250 million dollar deal in Lutyens. Please show me the link, because that would be huge news. Every Lutyens sale makes the news, and the highest so far is in the vicinity of a little over 60 million $, about Rs. 400 crore.
@@aryanreddy7379 one, no, it doesn't happen like that. Property rates can go up and down depending on the market. Two, you are completely missing my point so I'll just let it be.

Didn't sound a good deal to me. If I had 36 Crores for a Home:
I would buy a 500 Sq yards park facing plot in Greater Kailash (GK-1) for 25-26 Crores and after registry and all paperwork, it would cost around 27-28 Crores.
From the reamaining Balance of 8-9 Crores, I would contract the best Architects of Delhi and construct my own lavish Bungalow having the built up area of around 7000-8000 sq feet sq feet containing a huge Living Room and Dining Space, 2 Master Bedrooms and 3 Guest Bedrooms, a 7 seater reclining Theatre, a big Puja Room/Mandir, and a Gym and a Spa/Barber area along with an aesthetic study area.
Of course, the Terrace will be equally beautiful with a lot of open spaces and gorgeous flowers with a great amount of sunshine.
Tell, isn't it the correct use of 36 Crores? GK is the prime locality of south Delhi and of the poshest with every facilities. Like okay, Lutyens is the King and far more prestigious but for my First Home, a Bungalow mentioned above in GK-1 is the best ! You be better off selling them, investing the money and forcing politicians to live like normal people instead of treating them like spoiled kings.
@@NotKimiRaikkonen actually if you look at the bungalows they are terrible yo live in and are maintained by central public works department. They barley have modern amenities except cooling and heating, there is nothing to be spoiled at in these houses they just look nice from outside. The only thing the ministers can boast about is the giant garden They got smacked at the centre of delhi surrounding their properties.
And selling these properties is a good idea and to build the dense housing projects but these bungalows are on national heritage list so they can't be destroyed or sold.

Not at all. You should see how east asian houses are so deliberately small. They prefer it that way. Even in US they have apartment culture. And only the elites or ppl living in suburbs have such houses. It is quite rare to have such spacious houses in the middle of city in such vip areas in any of the countries
