kittikoko - Isle of Wight tourist attractions, virtual walks, bus ride POVs, hovercraft videos, arcade tours and everyday life.
I used to work there in the early 80s. There were no ‘mobile home’ type things then, all the accommodation was chalets with a camping field for tents down at the bottom near the ruined tower.
Know it well! Have stayed there many times. Nice memories & a VERY peaceful walk...early season always the best. x J x

3 days in St Helen's holidays
We had our honeymoon here 6 years ago and even though the staff were very nice the chalet master bedroom had massive moths in it so we spent the night on the couch. The cleaner had left the window open... anyway next morning we were moved to a caravan next to the pool but even tht was dodgy as only one door opened and that was tricky to open and close

Sorry - a place to avoid for me - depressing. I like leafy lanes with birds and trees.
On my walks I try to avoid holiday parks, where the footpaths have become lost and buried.😀
I'd like to see pictures of this location in the 60s and 70s.
There's one near America Wood (Languard) that has expanded terrifically (and horrifically) over the last few years.
Dread to think what the cost is per week. I think I'll stick with my cosy b&b!😉
