You're just so genuine Lael. After unpacking what you probably had just packed.....I hope you had a good laugh and a shake of the head. Always enjoy your content.....keep pedaling and keep smiling like you always do. Cheers!
Always great to see what Lael is running! The efficiency of packing is really fascinating and even more casual bike tourers could learn a thing or two.
Go Lael! You rock. Your enthusiasm is so infectious. Would love to know how the bike feels and handles fully loaded on gnarly single track. Good luck out there and be safe!
Hey Lael I have been running the same pedals on my Kona Rove for two years now. I really like the option of having a flat side with studs when it more advantageous to use. I just got back from my first GDMBR and UtePass Steve says hi, I camped at his place one night. Good luck with the race, I've always loved your sense of fun about bike packing and riding bikes in general.
Wow! Fantastic to see your setup and to hear some stories from the Tour Divide. Best of luck in the race -- I would love to hike that trail some time. It's definitely way too tough for me to ride, lol!
Awesome breakdown. Wishing you the best! I definitely don't like to ride after dark in summer without clear glasses. Bugs will kamikaze my lights and inevitably hit my face instead!
Best of luck, Lael! Glad you got the asthma under control, I too race with asthma and live in the high country of Colorado. It's almost something I don't think about now with the steroid inhaler daily and a bit of Albuteral on high intensity days. I know there is a great story behind each and every one of those little, odd bits you pack along with you 🙂 Might want to get a fresh tube to replace the old beat up one, but here's hoping you won't need it.
Awesome set up for breaking records.. As of now on Thursday AM you are sitting great.. I don't recall seeing anything to purify water.. The rivers were running fast so not that you would need it perse. But, always nice.. 6th OA and still lead female as I watch this

Has Lael heard of exercise induced asthma and how nose inhalation helps enormously? James Nestor's Breathe book is tremendously enlightening on this topic, as is the literature on the lesser known dystonic respiratory crisis.
Such a sweet person and a great inspiration for the sport !
I would crown you the Courtney Dauwalter of ultra-cycling. You’re motivation to engage other people in your sport is amazing!

I'm obsessed with her using the rock as a shaker, I love it! Lael's enthusiasm is such a treat.
But is it necessary? Leave an inch gap of air and then shake
She emits a nice warm energy! ❤

Good luck! Excited to see how you do. Ever try Embark syrup? I love their stuff for rides as opposed to regular gels.
Go Lael, greetings from Ljubljana.
Have fun Lael

Do you have links for the products you're using on your rig?
You are amazing

I had the same problem with cleat screws….loctite for the win.
How can we get that frame bag for the Epic Evo? I'm in the market.
What brand are the rain paints and what is the name of the thermarest sleeping pad? Thanks Lael!
My idol
Such a big fan of yours. Hey Lael do you bring a water filter with you? Didn’t see it in this vid but may have missed it.
What straps do you use on your handlbar dry bag setup? thanks!
No water filter?
It's ok to use a sleeping mat Lael no judgment😂
Rubber side down good luck.
I need to know where the pizza & cheesecake go in your bags!!
She stores those in her cheeks! Like a chipmunk 🙂
What kind of Fenix light are you using?
@@blancobasnett nice. Do you know why she didn't pick the BC26R?
@@blancobasnett No, it most be the BC26R-D.
no water purification? is that due to elevation/no cows?
Animals still die and defecate in streams. I would purify unless it comes straight out of mountain rock
👋👋👋❤️
What if you cut out dairy to see if your asthma improved? Just curious. Go Lael!!🎉

Why not à rack to save your back
I’m surprised to see a backpack rather than a rear carry of some kind
4 extra sram batteries 😱
Sponsorship isn't that much fun as we all think of
It's easy. If you don't sleep you can ride 24 hours every day.
