This whole journey just proves that you don't need to play super optimally to get the most out of Minecraft. Dan didn't wear gold in the nether, didn't get full netherite, didn't use elytra for travel, didn't make any mob farms. However he still managed to kill the Ender Dragon, map the world, fight off a raid, kill the Wither, find and loot a Bastion, turn the Deep Dark to light, disgrace the archeological profession and split the ocean like Moses.
What baffled me about this series is that Dan easily could’ve tripled the number of episodes, but instead opted to show a great 6 part series with each video basically being a supercut of like 2-3 streams. Real quality over quantity stuff mate. Glad I found him 4 years ago.
"In another life there was a whole world out here that we just didn't get to spend as much time in. We just get to see a little bit of it, you know? We took our time exploring the world we knew" How does such a fantastic quote manage to come from a goddamn minecraft let's play.
Fun fact: Google Trends shows that searches about Sods Law peaked twice in the last thirty days. The first time was on the 20th, when this was originally streamed, and the second was today when this video dropped. Thanks, Dan!

1:02:22 YES IT ALL MAKES SENSE you know how many ravines there where and how you joked that the earth split or smt like that. THIS AREA HAS JUST SO MUCH EARTHQUAKES THAT THE VILLAGERS GAVE UP THE IDEA OF A NORMAL FARM.
This would actually be a pretty interesting concept for a town in DnD or something. An itinerant wizard set up shop just outside of town, but after being annoyed by the neighbors one too many times, he summoned a demon that laid waste to the town after imprisoning the worst offenders in the earth. Then, a few years after the fact, he comes back to rebuild the village out of spite, vastly improving their quality of living and bestowing fabulous wealth on the town (and possibly repopulating it by just teleporting half of another town's population over) before disappearing forever.
No joke, the idea of a hero starting off by terrorizing and destroying a village at the beginning of his adventure, going off and becoming a powerful wizard and warrior, slaying dragons and hell-monsters and conquering even the darkest depths, and the final thing he does is return to that village at the beginning and fix it using the resources he got on his journey is an anime-level story
I reincarnated as the hero of a story, but the first village I went to got attacked! in my quest to gain strength so that this wouldn't happen again, I decided to bring back what I could from my adventuring to rebuild that starting town! I'll retire after becoming S-rank! synopsis: hero retires to the countryside.
Now that the official let's play has concluded, I would like to offer a suggestion: Next green screen movie night. Someone makes a sequel to 'RTgame plays minecraft' only now it's a recreation of the key events of each episode
@@clowntown3 Especially after walking across literally half the village, past multiple empty houses, to do it. Dan's slow realization of what was happening was the cherry on top
Watching this and the section where RT says goodbye to everything made me realize that I want to make a little world in case something ever happens to me, so that my husband can have some part of me to enjoy and a small piece of me will live in. We met on Minecraft and over the years we've gotten bored with it but theres more for us to do now.
It’s quite poetic that RT’s Minecraft Let’s Play ended by not only going back to the same village at the start and rebuilding it after the many battles there but also, have the villagers still sleeping in your old home. I don’t think this Let’s Play could’ve ended in a better way. Thank you for this amazing journey RT! *_To Be Continued in Minecraft Story Mode: Season 3_*
1:16:16 "I'm sorry your home has been completely demolished, please accept this motorway" the quickest way of summing up the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
something about the way Dan gently restores the village really resonates the feeling of the whole series. this lets play is incredibly "feels good-y" and is definitely rewatchable with just how passionate and caring Dan is towards this world. his creations are all over this place, with his cherry blossoms and his structures, and it is undeniable that he poured his heart into trying to explore every nook and cranny. there was no gimmick in this playthrough. no hard challenges. no wacky expectations. no "hardcore permadeath minecraft with every entity being hostile endermen challenge!!!!!". this was just the pure minecraft experience that i think everyone always yearned for as a kid (or even now). the ocean parting was so ambitious and minecraft-y. i could imagine myself as a kid thinking the same. "what if i just parted the ocean and made a path through there?" Dan's personality and commentary really shined in this playthrough. the treasure was real and it was his refreshing minecraft lets play in an era where it is needed.
The unsung hero of this playthrough was the background music. It would always kick in at the perfect moments to accentuate Dan's sense of wonder and adventure, or simply make building montages more serene.
There's a reason why C418's music is legendary. And this playthrough made me realize that Lena Raine and Kumi Tanioka's tracks are equally wonderful, even if they have their own styles.
Dan was the outcast of the dysfunctional village. Always look down upon for his witchcraft. In a fit of rage, Dan decided to destroy the village with his magic and enslaved those who survived. Shamed by his own actions, Dan ran away from the village and eventually made a new home for himself, the wizard tower. After the many journeys, foul beasts and dark horrors felled, Dan eventually returned to the old village. His one last action was to rebuild the once home of his, fixing the one mistake he has always regretted about. Legends tell the tale of a dragon slayer, a warrior of the depth and hell, wizard of immortality, living a humble life in the unknown village.
45:50 Wow. That music sync is amazing. That wasn't edited that was INGAME. Minecraft is such an amazing game, and I can't believe the playthrough is over... We were the pioner.
This playthrough came just when I was going through a rough patch in life; and seeing Dan just... playing the game; without worrying about efficiency, automation, having always the best stuff, discovering random stuff while adventuring, it just... reminded me of old times, when I started playing the game as a little kid. And it... brought me joy I just... don't know how to say it; and I don't think Dan will even notice this comment. But, I really want to thank him, for just bringing such a cozy, joyful, and, most of all, cozy experience into the world
What makes the ending so funny is how anti-climatic it is in comparison to the entire rest of the series. Loads of extraordinary events happening spontaneously in the previous parts, only for Dan to try and make a good series sendoff and be unable to because the game refuses to cooperate. Truly a quintessential Rumble Tumble Game.
dan enslaves the villagers frank and gerold for months, restores a tragedy site only to gentrify it, poorly engineers the local groundscaping resulting in sink holes and collapsing buildings, self aggrandize his own accomplishments, profits off and dramatizes recent local traumatic history, all to claim a dime and claiming the place is peaceful while providing little actual protection beyond a token force, then forcibly tries to enslave other village's villagers to populate his village, only to fail, dejectedly accept he has to release frank and gerold, and then we find one of the houses he created a torture of a bed where you have a saw running at your feet while you sleep, and calls it better and i wouldnt have it any other way, great series
Thank you. Couldn’t have worded this better I personally found the gentrification restoration hitting a bit too close to home, but it’s a minecraft series and we’re having fun haha
People: What a fun, wholesome Minecraft series :) RT: Crime list includes Arson, Assault, Burglary, Populicide by Proxy, Trafficking, Animal Cruelty, Kidnapping, Unlawful Imprisonment, Destruction of Property, Destruction of Historical Sites, Animal Extinction (kills the only ender dragon) and Enviromental Destruction
@@SharowbladyeGaymerPorate there are probably no laws regarding summoning demons (duh), but it can be put into the sections Animal Cruelty(?), Destruction of Property and Environmental Destruction, since the wither played a major role in destroying the village and killing the unfortunate animals, such as the horse for example
To be fair, you can RESURRECT the ender dragon so it isn't really extinct. Just inside a deep slumber before someone places 4 end crystals at the portal.
@@ivychong3233 wouldnt that just turn it into animal cruelty instead? since you only ever resurrect it just to kill it again and that may not be super relevant here since this is mainly about RT's crime list, and since he has no plans of resurrecting the dragon (or even streaming the game ever again), it is essentially extinct in that world although the funny thing about this is that his crime list would probably still be significantly shorter/tamer than many other players
Dan, your design philosophy, with everything you've built in this series, has given me the most uplifting feeling. Watching you build just brings joy. Thank you for this series!
I'm a lurker and barely ever really comment and it's prolly gonna get buried, but I still wanted to say that this is by far my most favourite series here on yt. I love the vibe, love the building montages, love the way you genuinely seem to enjoy exploring everything. I picked the game up myself again after watching the other parts. It's slightly sad to see this come to an end, but it's best to stop whilst you still enjoy it :) I'll be rewatching it a lot. Thank you for giving us this fantastic series!
52:08 "i heard talks of the pigs overthrowing the farmer, so im sure theyre gonna be okay!" Oh... oh NO.... oh good god... lets be glad RT is taking Butter away with him
Hi RT, just wanted to thank you for giving me good memories of minecraft again. Minecraft kinda got sullied when a lot of the og youtubers quit or had bad things come to light. which really sucked because they were a huge part of my childhood, they shaped my humor and a lot about me. And having the feeling that parts of you came from iffy people kinda sucks. But watching you just play through Minecraft, and getting to explore the new parts of the game with you has been amazing. So I just wanted to give you a big thanks for bringing back the good memories of minecraft for me.
Tomorrow is my 18th birthday. Minecraft was such a huge part of my childhood, so having this series end on the very last day before I become an adult... it feels like a good sendoff. Thanks for all the memories, Dan. Here's to many more to come! ❤
My dog was diagnosed with cancer around the time you started this series. It’s been a hard journey but seeing you rediscover this game has been a highlight throughout it all. I just wanna say thank you for this, it has been some of my favourite content I’ve seen as of late and has been something to look forward to in spite of everything. Lexi won’t be long for this world so I just wanted to share before I lose the chance. Thank you RT, and to whoever ends up reading this.
thank you for taking care of Lexi, you certainly made their life amazing! Whenever the time comes, I'm sure they will be well received in the rainbow bridge! ♥
I lost my own dog earlier this month, so I feel for you buddy. I’ll second that this content helps me out. It’s like what I felt when I first played AC:NH, except I get to watch an Irish man suffer under new content and rocks.
I'm so sorry for you and Lexi. Be near her in her final days and give her as much love as you possibly can. What I like doing is writing down stuff about passed loved ones in a notebook or journal, and keeping it so that you can remember them when you want to. Write down all the cute things she did, your best memories with her, even some of the annoying stuff too. And maybe put some pictures of her in there. I know it sounds cheesy but it helps me a lot. I feel like I'm honoring them by trying to preserve their memory. Either way, hang in there, and be there for her.
I'm sad to see the series end to be honest... I love all your long form videos but this series of them was just so beautiful. Amazing job RT and I hope you do something like this again
Minecraft truly is a timeless game. While watching this, I booted up my old save on my Xbox 360 I had left 8 years ago and finally finished it off. It was kinda the reverse of this series, since I "rediscovered" the old minecraft, the versions even before horses got added. It was amazing and oddly enough really nostalgic :)
Fun Fact, Xbox 360 Minecraft goes up to 1.13. Xbox One Minecraft goes up to 1.12. So you can go from 1.13 (can't open in 1.12 but needs to be converted there) to Bedrock's latest update.
It's not the same, but watching Dan rebuild the village out of incredibly valuable blocks, I'm reminded of a story of Temujin (more famously Genghis Khan) returning home after years of conquest to see his people, who when he was a child wore simple clothes and kept no wealth but their animals, wearing silks and using dishes and knives made of china and ivory. There's something very compelling about the spoils of a life of war in the hands of those who were there for its beginning.
Genghis Khan did some heinous shit but stuff like this proves he's still human and Idk if that makes it worse or better tbh. Humans are our own demons, nothing else. Absolutely off-topic from the video and I apologise but I felt like saying it
Absolutely beautiful that the final episode is represented through a block of cherry petals. A short-lived spike of beauty for just a week or two throughout an entire year, but it leaves a lasting impression on you for every remaining day. Thank you, Daniel and Cloé, for such a nostalgic yet innovative retrospective through a game that's changed the world.
The upheaval comment is really funny to me because that's literally how the game sees it coding wise. Like, the game laid out this nice village design and was like "Cool, time to slap it down somewhere nice" and then just tossed it on to a massive hill which totally destroyed the layout.
I had a server with my friends that I used to play on for around 2 years (I probably played 1,500-2,000 hours total within those years). That server provided me so many memories, and when I was playing I felt different from any other game ever. After that server had faded and everyone stopped playing, it was never the same as what it used to be. I can never recreate those memories, but this series truly made me feel excited about this game again and I actually got into it after watching it. I'm going to miss this series a lot, but I'm thankful for all the memories you reignited in me and after this, I'll definitely be a long time fan. Thank you very much, RT.
Every time Dan marvels in wandering around the beautiful world, he and his horse fall in a massive fissure. The tectonic disaster theory will never go away Dan. I will always remind you of what clearly happened to your world. Especially if you keep blaming the villagers for the farms being in ruins.
@@garr_inc Credits say Unfinished Business was used dyring stream. . .but I can't pin down that exact riff in the track itself. . .but it has several different remixes depending on which track was used.
Dan's Minecraft builds are a lot like watercolour paintings. For the first like 15 steps, it all looks like a bit of a mess - the colours feel like they're clashing, it's all blurry and doesn't look like anything remotely similar to what you're going for. But then you do the final details, take a step back, and see that the clash and miasma has turned into something quite beautiful.
I arrived with an overburnt of Minecraft, but i absolutely loved every single thing on this journey, it felt so so genuine and how it was intended (Except crazy hidden stuff like the wither in a painting or a certain material hidden in a dimension where mining isn't the first idea, wich is fair), Can you believe you're the first playthrough I've watched do the archeology stuff- Despite my soul shattering with each sus gravel cracking, It was a blast ^^
Ten years from now, we may look back on this series with the same nostalgia we do Minecraft series from ten years ago today. Thanks for this series RT. The highlight of the year.
I am slightly ashamed to say, but i teared up when he said he was going to rebuild the village. He says it's out of spite, not love, but i'm pretty sure we all know that's not true. A love for the game, for the world, for the chance we gave the savanna village… and for this series. Best Minecraft series in CZcams, you cannot change my mind. A beautiful conclusion.
I am upset Dan never saw the sniffer he would have absolutely loved it. It’s the one part of archeology he’d like lol. Too bad he kept breaking all the sus sand and gravel lmao
This series reminds me of why I started watching youtube series like this in the first place. Seeing other peoples joy of discovering things for the first time is just so fun to see. I know that backseating was rough during the streams at times, but i hope you really enjoyed your time.
It’s so emotional saying goodbye to this series. I couldn’t tell you why, but it is. I’ll miss it. I’ll miss the good times sitting down and spending a couple hours watching. It was fun while it lasted. So long, RTGame Minecraft series. It’s been an honor.

Today marks the last day, the last adventure of RTGame in the survival World of Minecraft Even though i personaly have known Minecraft and have actively followed the content Updates for maybe over 10 years (holy hell we're getting old) this whole Lets play has taught me just how much fun Minecraft can be to casualy learn. I haven’t felt this much attachment to a Minecraft let’s play series since Yaffa Factory. Thank you for the memories, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!!
Honestly, I think my favorite part of this whole playthrough was the build segments. So many of the minecraft build streams were you admiring other peoples' stuff, but you have a lovely process of creativity, giving every place their own unique aesthetic. Seeing the slow process of you going through and building upon the foundation, with the music in the background, it's wonderful watching you have so much fun with it. I'm glad you had this much fun with a modern Minecraft Let's Play, so rare to see these days. I hope you continue to have fun even off camera, thanks again RT!
Kinda sad to see this series end. It's been one of my favorite series from RT. Starting from the simple shitty Savannah Hut to the great Wizard Tower on top of a mountain with Cherry Blossom trees. It's been a really fun journey! Definitely rewatching the series every year after this
rt repairing the ruined village has the same energy as a chaotic dnd party going back to where their adventure started and helping rebuild after they've saved the world but at the cost of lots of destruction and i just think thats neat
9:00 casually pushing Tifa onto a spinning sawblade- This series has been so good, loved seeing your adventures and all your creations! This has been a really nice way to just cool down at the end of the day for me, thanks for making such a lovely lets play!
This has become my favorite Minecraft Let's Play series: I particularly appreciate your creativity and sense of adventure within the game. Thank you for making this, and for this edited version here on CZcams. Your work is excellent as always :) God bless!
Can you believe that this entire series is just 1/1000000000 of this one world, and this world is just 1/100000000000 of entire Minecraft. In this whole let’s play he didn’t took netherite gear, he didn’t use elytra he didn’t build mob farms, heck! he didn’t even use mending…. But he had fun, he did what he wanted to, and not what he “should” be doing, and that is what makes Minecraft Minecraft, I didn’t skip a second from these videos, and I never got bored a second. I say this as I will quote what he said in this video: “In another life there was a whole world out here that we just didn’t get to spend as much time in. We just get to see a little bit of it, you know? We took our time exploring the world we knew.” 45:50
Every time I see minecraft gameplay since the caves and cliffs update it really hammers home what a great job they did with the world gen. I'm continually filled with the same kind of wonder I was when I first started playing back in alpha. For all the minecraft dev teams shortcomings, they really nailed that update.
I really wish they would fix village gen as well, stuff has been questionably generated since way back when they were introduced. glad for what we still have today though!
this series conveniently came out when i was going through some bad times, these episodes help me get over most of the things affecting me and helped me get my love for the game back, ty drift king
I've really enjoyed your series. The fun and enthusiasm you have is really contagious. I was watching your BOTW permadeath run last year and your sheer excitement for the game while playing and for the upcoming TOTK infused through my soul and made me purchase and play my 1st ever Zelda game. BOTW and TOTK are now among my most fav games. Thank you Mr Gamer
haha the same happened to me! I never really played botw but watching rt be so enthusiastic made me want to play totk, and now, 100 hours later, its one of my favourite switch games. i love how watching someone like rt play can sort of make their excitement rub off on you - there are games i may have never tried otherwise that watching him play made me want to play, and im so glad i did. :3
i am a little sad to see it end too but i do admire his decision to keep the series short and sweet as opposed to drawn out and overplayed. it was a great series
you will never know the smile that formed when aria math started playing at 1:29:14 this is honestly a top 15 letsplay for me. dan and cloé did such a good job, and they should be proud with how this turned out
I've said it already, but I would really love to see a return to the series... Maybe in 5-10 years? I like to imagine that you'll still enjoy making content then, and that I'll still enjoy watching it.
And with that, comes the end of an era. It was an amazing adventure to witness you start from nothing to parting the sea to killing all of the Bosses in this game. Thank you for the adventure Daniel, it was so much fun to watch😊
If you're curious about more (spoilers for everything RT didn't encounter) There are a few other variations of Bastions A huge amount of variations in EndCity sizes Many more Woddland Mansion secret rooms Witch huts, Jungle Temples, Desert Temples, variants of Dungeons, the experimental Trial Chambers, Shipwrecks, Underwater Ruins There are a few mobs that haven't been encountered, Polar Bears, Arctic Foxes, actual Foxes, Pandas and their variants, Screaming Goats (variant of a normal Goat that screams), Mooshrooms, Resummoned Ender Dragon, Parrots, Ocelots (different to cats now), Sniffer, Rabbit As for Biomes, the most interesting ones would be Ice Spikes, Mushroom Biome The features that remain mostly or completely unused were Redstone, Resummoning and defeating the Ender Dragon with End Crystals, Fishing, Villager Trading, Lodestones, Achievements, Milking Mooshrooms The items that are important and unused are suspicious stew, Lingering Potions, Tipped Arrows, Lodestones, Respawn Anchors, Taming all animals, Respawning the Ender Dragon, Building a Beacon, Music Discs, Goat Horns, mining Ancient Debris, Sniffer stuff, Conduits, Kelp, Silk Touch all Silktouchable blocks, Mending a tool with XP
I'm pretty sure he found shipwrecks, given that he found buried treasure in one of the episodes, same with underwater ruins, not sure if he knew what to do with the underwater ruins but I think he found at least one of them
he saw foxes at some point, saw rabbits in a desert, got mending on some gear, did trade for arrows, fished for a pufferfish for the ocean monuments, found a desert temple, and used silk touch for bees
Something about this series which I think is very underrated is how the building montages are so peaceful. I'm so used to only seeing super sped up footage, often accompanied by the game sound at the same speed, for any project ranging from tiny to enormous. I can't really watch those due to visual sensory issues, so the normal speed footage with calm music playing over it is such a nice change of pace that's really appreciated. In general the editing of these videos has just been top tier, amazing job Cloé!
dan, i really appreciate you doing this series. it's been so amazing to fall in love with minecraft all over again and to experience it with you has been a joy!!!! thank you!!!!
This series meant so much to me man. Back in 2021 I got an eye condition which made it impossible to for me to play Minecraft without getting a violent migraine. For the past few years I've lost touch with the game and all of the updates. It really sucked since Minecraft was a huge part of my childhood (a mod for it helped me meet the love of my life!) This playthrough was the best way I could've gotten to see all the new updates, from the warden to the cherry trees. Thank you for helping me to reconnect with one of my favorite games of all time
Dammit RT, the urge to play minecraft has been building up over the whole series, and now I just need to play this game again and build things. I Loved this series, it was so much fun
I like how the different parts of the village reflect parts of his journey. The Village itself represents the beginning and the wither fight, as well as the raid The different blocks found in the nether represent it The bookshelves and the end stone represent the end The fountain represents the ocean monument And the Iron golem and the juke box represents the deep dark
The Minecraft series has been awesome to watch! I manage to catch a few of the streams live even with timezone differences (australia gang). It’s been such a breath of fresh air among all the loud, over the top, over stimulating, targeted at kids Minecraft slop to have a new Minecraft series to watch that is so chill and laid back. Really reminds of the good ol’ days, like the old Race to the Moon series. I’m looking forward to the next game series!

Most sane Forgotten Realms wizard
No joke, the idea of a hero starting off by terrorizing and destroying a village at the beginning of his adventure, going off and becoming a powerful wizard and warrior, slaying dragons and hell-monsters and conquering even the darkest depths, and the final thing he does is return to that village at the beginning and fix it using the resources he got on his journey is an anime-level story

I love the note of reproach in Dan's voice as he protects the village from creepers. This is a *peaceful place* now.
something about the way Dan gently restores the village really resonates the feeling of the whole series. this lets play is incredibly "feels good-y" and is definitely rewatchable with just how passionate and caring Dan is towards this world. his creations are all over this place, with his cherry blossoms and his structures, and it is undeniable that he poured his heart into trying to explore every nook and cranny.
there was no gimmick in this playthrough. no hard challenges. no wacky expectations. no "hardcore permadeath minecraft with every entity being hostile endermen challenge!!!!!". this was just the pure minecraft experience that i think everyone always yearned for as a kid (or even now). the ocean parting was so ambitious and minecraft-y. i could imagine myself as a kid thinking the same. "what if i just parted the ocean and made a path through there?"
Dan's personality and commentary really shined in this playthrough. the treasure was real and it was his refreshing minecraft lets play in an era where it is needed.

And it... brought me joy
I just... don't know how to say it; and I don't think Dan will even notice this comment.
Truly a quintessential Rumble Tumble Game.
dan enslaves the villagers frank and gerold for months, restores a tragedy site only to gentrify it, poorly engineers the local groundscaping resulting in sink holes and collapsing buildings, self aggrandize his own accomplishments, profits off and dramatizes recent local traumatic history, all to claim a dime and claiming the place is peaceful while providing little actual protection beyond a token force, then forcibly tries to enslave other village's villagers to populate his village, only to fail, dejectedly accept he has to release frank and gerold, and then we find one of the houses he created a torture of a bed where you have a saw running at your feet while you sleep, and calls it better

@@ivychong3233 wouldnt that just turn it into animal cruelty instead? since you only ever resurrect it just to kill it again
and that may not be super relevant here since this is mainly about RT's crime list, and since he has no plans of resurrecting the dragon (or even streaming the game ever again), it is essentially extinct in that world
although the funny thing about this is that his crime list would probably still be significantly shorter/tamer than many other players

They used to call him the Minecraft King back in college

The spinning horse playing Maxwell's theme every time it's in the frame is the best running gag of this episode, lmao.

For CZcams sake I cried writing this comment, I really hoped this series just keeps going and never ends.😢
The only fault I have is that I wish they were a bit less frequent, because I find it quite difficult trying to find a good place to start building.
I hope he puts this world on the server some day, but in a state where nobody can destroy anything. Like a massive immersive museum.

The Village itself represents the beginning and the wither fight, as well as the raid
The different blocks found in the nether represent it
The bookshelves and the end stone represent the end
The fountain represents the ocean monument
And the Iron golem and the juke box represents the deep dark
The Minecraft series has been awesome to watch! I manage to catch a few of the streams live even with timezone differences (australia gang). It’s been such a breath of fresh air among all the loud, over the top, over stimulating, targeted at kids Minecraft slop to have a new Minecraft series to watch that is so chill and laid back. Really reminds of the good ol’ days, like the old Race to the Moon series.
I’m looking forward to the next game series!
I’m not ready for this to end
(He said as he rewatched the whole series for the third time)
