He said they burned everything besides woody, that means woodys previous gang of friends/toys got burned alive
Well umm that's terrifying just hearing your friends screams while they burn alive
@@paulosergiodorsey3767 That PTSD during the ts3 incinerator scene 😳
Somebody commented once that if a toy dies and the kid still plays with it Andy and the gang have to watch their dead friend get played with, that has always stuck with me.
That makes sense!!! That always explains why Woody is so loyal to Andy!!!
@@meichzero2014They said Woody was the loyal one to Andy. Not that Andy was the loyal one to woody
Polio was killing people back in the 1940s. Toy Story took place in 1995. 😂😂 stfu
When he gave woody away, he was sharing his fathers love
What to the kid of a stranger his father never knew ? No what he did was through away the only thing that existed in the universe that belonged to his father , and he gave it away because his age reached a certain number

That’s why Andy wanted to take Woody to college
It's actually a great thing this isn't in the movie because that would make Andy a horrible person for just giving up woody like that
Makes sense a boy taking a kid toy to COLLEGE is kinda different even seriously considering it is kinda wild
The fact that Bonnie just throws him in the closet to sit there and never play with him
Fun fact: if u look in the little peak when there car leaves the toys u can see the dad and the dad is Riley's dad from Inside out
@@Momo-zs9nkwhen the guy says it’s Andy’s father that is Riley’s father
This makes the scene at the end of Toy Story 3 so much better
Finally they cover the actual story and I agree it’s supposed to be in the movie
Well if that's true then Andy's a piece of s*** because he just gave away the last thing he had to remember his dad by so no I definitely think this shouldn't be part of the movie I'm glad it's not
If 5 explains maybe it will if it was me making 5 I would do a backstory on woody and andy but we'll see what they do I'm crossing my fingers they don't ruin all the good of the movies we've had all this time it's getting scary to he honest
@@6dogs729ehh he had a hard time giving it away so no I don’t really think he would be considered an asshole
Pixar/Disney movies usually have a super sad backstory the fans never know about
It actually explains why Woody has no gun and why Woody is so valuable and why Al from Al's toy Barn was so heartbroken to loose him
@@MMA_Cholo He's talking about the purple teddy bear from Al's toy barn in toy story 3
That makes sense why woody is so attached to Andy if it is Andy's dad's spirit
These guys just make up endings and storylines and I’m here for it continue 🤘🏾
Actually he kept three toys that he saved woody, slinky dog, and mister potatoe head who were his favorite toys and the ones he was closest to.
You’ve got a friend in me makes more sense now (Edit: This is the most amount of likes I’ve ever gotten on a comment!)
That would actually be a good story for Toy Story 5 if they made it a prequel
4 was now 5 is in the works and to be honest its getting scary for me
Toy Story is a children's movie, adding that background to the movie would have been too deep for a child to understand so I kind of see why it wasn't in the movie. If it was added in there then it would have changed the whole vibe of the movie, but it is cool to know the backstory of Woody.
The kids that grew up watching Toy story are adults now we could handle it Toy story needs to get dark😊
There's a movie that is meant for children that had a similar experience that being onwards. I think it would've been fine. They don't have to get really depressing with it but imply the situation would still have the same effect, like in up.
The mother actually says it's a family heirloom in Toy Story 2 when the guy comes up and asks her if he can buy it and she says no one tells me it's been in the family for a while it's a family heirloom.
This explains so much
I love your videos
Wish we got a source on that because that's actually pretty cool!
The mom didn't have money for Andy's father surgery so he won't die but it was too late and Andy's dad died but Andy's now the dad became the spirit of the toy woody that is why he can talk and move he didn't want andy to know because if he found out he'd be scared and not belive him this is the full story of Andy's father.
Andy’s dad name was also andy
If they are actually making TS5 I hope they implement this theory into the movie to explain why the toy’s are alive.
5 is currently in the works and to be honest it's getting scary for me
Nah, woody is a gift from his father who left and buzz represent a new father figure coming into his life and the difficult emotions they feel about eachother even though they both care about Andy
It's literally in the 2nd movie. Andy's mom says "it's an old family toy, it's not for sale" when the chicken guy was trying to buy woody.
Also maybe he gave woody and the other toys to the little girl because that's actually his daughter.
“You’ve got a friend in me”
Damn that makes more sense now
Andy’s mom belongs to the streets so his father left. Ain’t raising no street baby.
“You have a friend in me” just has a whole new meaning now…
That would make more sense than just the toys being alive because honestly if it was his dads spirit that would explain the desired need to be by Andy all the time and even when he went off to college
I wonder if in Toy Story 5 they will visit his dads grave
I will eat my hat as a diabetic if they do this ( and in this case I am in need of hat eating)
@@CharlieGray-jt1zqI know what theory’s are like, movies give us the opposite of what we want so don’t enjoy your meal
Yeah if the stories executed right I think it’ll worth the 2 extra movies 4 and 5 otherwise it’s just a cash grab that doesn’t make sense but 4 was pretty good
I knew he gave off fatherless vibes lol.
And that’s why the movie starts with “you’ve got a friend in me”
His deep connection with Andy gains even more heartfelt significance 😮
"Toy story's beginning", or "toy story 0" would be a great title
@@landynphillips7781they are making a 5 its currently in the works and to be honest its getting scary for me
No wonder it was so hard for Andy to let Woody go n Toy Story 3. I cried on that part
Lucky little bastard possibly having Tom Hanks as a farther
Literally like Encanto
Pedros spirit is in the house
Andy dad spirit in Woody
If you've noticed in the films woody never leavs Andy's side whereas the other toys do so hearing this makes sense as to why woody is far more dedicated to looking out for Andy compared to the rest of the toys.
Highly doubt that theory. If Andy had such emotional attachment to Woody, he would never have given him away to a random kid (Bonie).
for those who don't know, polio is basically a fancier word for paralysis
I’m not crying, you are😭😭😭
They need to make this a movie like a prequel
If I close me eyes, that second guy sounds like Sterling Archer 😂
If that made it into the movie... fkkk epic movie
They do show him on Toy Story 4 in the beginning when it’s raining and they’re getting toys together to donate.
Andy’s dad looks like that girls dad from inside out.
It does explain it in Toy story two when Woody was watching the old movies of his episodes. You can see Andy’s father, grabbing Woody and hugging him when the song my friend plays. You can tell it’s old because the films are black-and-white.
That’s why woody tried so hard to b the leader and protect all the toys cuz all the old toys he grew up with got burned away and why he feels like he’s supposed to be there for Andy like it was a mission
Sometimes I feel that there may be some writers that may not go that deep while writing for films and then they read all those fan-made theories from people with especially active imaginations and when asked about the underlying truth behind a theory, they "reveal" that it had been planned all along and is in fact cannon.
Everyone is then in awe of the little "nuances" and the person who actually came up with the theory, and the writer who took credit for that (would that fall under some form of plagiarism?), and the fans who bought into it are all happy.
Good to know Andy just gave Woody away at the end of Toy Story 3 instead of holding onto him for his future kids.
Goddamn what's with these two?! They are on point every short
Dang that’s tough even for a kid
Remember when he gave away woody he didn't have to do that makes it worse
That’s why Woody was the only in the group who had faith that they’d get out of the chest in TS3 .. he’d been there before.
This is the craziest backstory yet 😂😂
These guys clearly have never heard of the Round Up Gang.
No wonder woody sings you got a friend in me .... That means his dads spirit is in woody that's why he loves Andy so much
Andy is in a polio coma. The movies are his dreams.
Dude that makes so much sense because Woody doesnt remember his first owner. They guys in the second film had to tell him.
“You got a friend in me.” 😢
Makes Toy Story 3/4 even sadder now
Polio was an eradicated way before Andy‘s father would’ve been born.
Not everything needs a back story. Better as is. His own choice of favourite toy. His own attachment to the toy.
Bro it was so sad and then they just said man why is that not in the movie
Oh shit that just makes the ending of toy story 3 even sadder. Thanks lol
We actually saw Andy's father as a child in toy story 2. In the video of woody singing you have a friend in me, the child looks VERY MUCH identical to andy.
@Disney @Pixar
We all need this in a movie
His dad is weak as hell for getting polio 😂😂💀
In the picture frames when Andy was going down the stairs in Toy Story 1, you can see a similar photo of Andy in it, but he has glasses. But Polio causes bad seeing so it must be Andy’s father.
It makes sense because Woody is an old school and I mean old school toy. I remember some criticism of the movie was that Woody was way too old of a toy for Andy to have. But this makes way more sense.
That Woody was Andy's father's toy was always so obvious to me growing up without it ever being said
That would be a cool plot for Toy Story 5
can’t wait for the Toy Story Woody origin story. they should call it ‘Toy Story: A Time Before’
You know what my 3 yr old sister said about Toy Story? She asked “If the toys die will Andy just keep playing with their dead bodies?” Ima have nightmares tonight and so will you 💀
This would make a great movie 🎬 telling the whole back story about Woody.
Nobody is talking about when woody watched a commercial of him in Toy Story 2 and saw Andy take it
Something that's not mentioned mentioned here is that that wasn't just a woody doll. The company that sold them one out of business before they distributed them. If I remember correctly one of the employees write his letter decided to send him one anyway. Woody is almost one of a kind.
Wasn't expecting to get choked up this early in the morning but here we are...
I read that it was the grandfather's toy first. The grandfather is likely to have been a child during the launch of Sputnik. The second movie points out that the age of sci fi and space toys soared after that, and Woody's show and merchandise became less popular. The grandfather gave it to Andy's father, then Andy's father gave it to him. I also heard that the dad died from something else soon after Molly was born. The polio vaccine came out in the 50s. Andy and Molly grew up in the 90s. There was a vast improvement on the knowledge and handling of polio by then.
Also makes sense cause in part 2 he's gonna be sold into a museum being a collection means they dont make toys like that anymore.
This sounds like something my friends and I would come up with high.
They say this In one of the movies not his dad specifically but that it has been passed down through the family
That’s a cool an bazaar twist that wood is Andy’s dad spirit I never thought of it like that
It wasn't just Woody, in the box it was also Slinky and Ham. Who where also toys manufactured around that time when Woody was made.
Bro WHY IS THIS NOT IN THE MOVIE THIS WOULD BE SO GOOD
This would explain why woody never got over losing Andy
I love learning how these people come up with these movies. I love learning the true story about these movies. The cartoons that they try to show my kids. You have to watch this stuff and edit out what they're trying to tell you and your children
Wow. His parents bought him toys. Mind blowing.
My theory: Andy’s dad was young when Woody’s Roundup was popular, and he got a Woody doll, but when the show was cancelled due to the rise of the Lightyear movie, the company that made Woody’s Roundup stopped selling merchandise, including Woody dolls. The same thing (I think) also applies to Emily, just while Woody’s Roundup was popular.
*Trying to catch pedometers *
Cop: Damn kids playing games.
Dude that would be a sweet toy story five script
I approve a prequel "Before Story"
Guess that explains why Jessie and gang were all considered collectables later on
There's also a theory that Jessie belonged to Andy's mom. The hat that Andy wears is the same hat the little girl wore in Jessie's flashback.
The fact that Andy gave Woody away makes this worse with that being the only thing he had to remember his dad
Exactly
It was the only thing keeping the bond of Andy and his father alive if Andy never gave woody away it would have shown how much Andy cared about the memory of his dad
And then that stupid ass little girl lost him
He didnt want to
