- TMR was honoured to host Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan sahib for perhaps the 8th time over the years, on 22 June 2024.
He was accompanied by one of his sons, Nadir Ali Khan on harmonium extra vocal.
Tabla accompaniment was by Ustad Sahbaz Hussain and Sarangi by Sardar Satwindar Pal Singh.

I can listen to his father forever..unfortunately i cant say the same to Shafqat Ali Khan, since he is shouting alot of times with overagressive singing, sometimes i feel cringe listening to him. Ive listened to the music of many many artits, but this guy is a category for himself.

hes saying the gamak is the most difficult skill to achieve in classical music, and that it took him 40 years to get it perfect.
