Zayn's not the lead singer, all 5 1D member can sing and talented in their own way, but ngl Zayn and Harry Styles are the powerhouse vocals in the band. Yet, Zayn's style of music doesn't match with the band, his creativity was deprived and developed stage anxiety after the shit his been through in the band (they reject his songs, if he sang a slight rnb style they'll ask him to make re-record until it sounded generic af). That's why he left 1D, but some of the "fans" still talk shit about him. Zayn is a gift from god.
