I was starting to think the SD4 might be right for me, then I saw this. I'll be watching to see if the dealer and manufacturer do right by you. It sounds like your SD4 somehow forgot which way was up. I can't imagine how it could be pilot error, because how could anybody roll a drone up on its side and rocket it fans first into a tree even if they wanted to?
Same happened to me with my Swell pro 3, took off let it hover, around 3 meters high, turn around to get bait to hook, off it goes on it’s side into the ground, unfortunately broke 2 props off the same direction and was issued with 2 spare props left and right, STRANDED 3rd day on my fishing trip, contact swell-pro, whereby they inform me due to radio interference cause off failure 30 km from a harbour. Second time boot the drone up, took off 3 ~4 meters above sea level, as I powered up it went straightforward on the same level were it took off over the sea and no reaction on joysticks, switch over to RETURN TO HOME no reaction, switch to ATTI mode (. SUPPOSED TO FLY MANUALLY) no response, and in the meantime my line on my spool is coming to it’s end, drone was going flat out forward I managed to cut the motors on the joysticks dropped in the sea with huge swells, fortunately I did not release the bait, managed to real it to shore, recover it with one broken prop, was smashed into sea bed couple of times. The next day I boot it up, do my inspections, GPS SIGNAL FULL, FRESH BATTERY, FRESH BATTERY IN CONTROLLER, tie it up to a fishing rod and real at a river, same happens, only respond on controller was by cutting the motors, dropped in the river. Response from dealer was possible faulty battery, but I tested it not with the same batteries, controller and the drone, as the previous day, that was the time I decided to pack it away, it started to cost me money, frustrating, unreliable!! and rather use my Phantom. I was really excited reading, watching promotions about the new Swell pro 4 and yet their problems are not solved. no need to be too worried, just send it to your countries representative they can pull the flight log and i the drone mulfunctioned Swellpro international will just send you a new one. they offer warranty because they are a top brand and back their product. IN SA there are great representitives that will always fight for the customer. Swellpro intrenational offer exceptional service if you have the right people representing on your behalf
Damn bro wtf. My splash 4 been giving me problems as well. Just sent my bait release in cause it kept getting jammed. Yet they told me I need to adjust screw when it happens again instead of giving me a new one smh. Been having problems with calibration and everything else as well when fishing, calibration always going out and stuff. Poor design overall for $3,000. Hope warranty covers or something brother🙏🏾 frickin sucks.
So it is apparent that some have left comments on this video and other videos that I can not see. I have also removed a couple comments; This comment I can only see in my email and not on the video. Once I receive documentation from them indicating it was an error of the system, or pilot error, I will update with another video. I will NOT stand for negativity or judgments in a negative way on this channel. You certainly have the right to say whatever under the 1st Amendment, but being this is a personal page, I will delete any comments that I feel is negative or negatively judgmental toward me. The facts will come out, and I will post the facts once I get them, whether it’s for me, or against me. If you feel you need to screen shot your comments to see if I’m deleting them, so be it. On the face of it, it would appear that the sensor failed and the control system gave the wrong amount of control, which ultimately led to the wrong power output for the drone.
do you record video while it happened??if you have a proof that their system has a problem then show them that video...they will take cake of it...mine i never had any issues
I had just put it back in the air and had it hovering. The plan was to take more photos and videos of my brother's place. At the time, I did not have the video recording.
1) did you calibrate before your flight. 2) it sounds like you had some sort of external interference

Do you have the flight data to show them sd card will be needed ?
They sent me the program today to download the flight data and then email it to them. I will do it when I get home.

Did you do your updates
I checked for updates prior to and I did not see any. I had the up-to-date firmware.
