Stage 9 Route 236 | AP2 S2000 + Evo VIII touge

- Warming up on a favorite section of mine. Then having some fun with a nicely tuned Evo VIII. The S2000 has a nice advantage on turn in and getting back to full throttle, but the Evo definitely definitely has the power advantage and makes good use of it on corner exit.
Very nice driving by the Evo driver. Hopefully we can do this again some time when it is a bit warmer and less damp.

Evo looks like he doesn't know that road. And some of the comments are saying he should use more of the road.
While this may be a private road in Mexico. I still wouldn't want to be caught on the other side of that double yellow, when anybody can come down that road going 70+

you also have to take into consideration that not all opponents are willing to cross the double yellow (intentionally), usually for fear of consequence [both judicial and corporeal] and/or for lack of intimate road knowledge.

Yeah, I guess the evo driver did well, but for the first part, he has to take a page from your book and use more of the road, yeah evo's are stupidly good handling, but you restrict yourself when you dont take full advantage.

I'm sure someone has asked you this before but what made you choice an AP2 over AP1... my ap1 was totaled (not my fault) and I have been craving another
AP2 is a better platform in my opinion due to rear suspension geometry, ECU tunability (in 06+ models), and the F22C (which makes more mid-range power). I also prefer the look of AP2s.

Where did you mount your camera and is this GoPro?
+acmr I use a GoPro Hero3, mounted on the middle glove box between the seats. Audio recorded with an external sound recorder. Editing and color correction done in Final Cut Pro X.

not sure if this matters anymore but in the 2 years I've driven there the farthest up the mountain I've seen cops is two bar road on the SC side, I don't know about Saratoga side. seen them as high as the skid pad if someone calls something in though.

+Azza Yeah I would love to have an Evo as well. They really can become monsters in the right hands. AWD can be a pretty massive advantage out in the mountains.
