Thanks for a very informative video. Your Simplicity Conquest with the full suspension is a great machine. Simplicity has always been known for well-made long-lasting equipment. Too bad the Simplicity and Snapper brands are ending production. I have a 2004 Simplicity Legacy XL 4x4 with the 27 HP Kawasaki liquid cooled engine and parts may be hard to come by before long. I mostly us it to move snow in the winter. Have had no mechanical problems with it and it has over 400 hours on it. It came with a 60 in stamped deck that is shaft driven. Everything on this machine is heavy duty. The fabricated deck was not available when I bought the machine in 2004. I don't cut my lawn with this machine so replacing the stamped deck with the fabricated deck was not necessary. I use a 2007 Cub Cadet GT 2550 for that. Cuts good but doesn't have that floating deck with rollers that Simplicity is famous for. I also have a 1966 Simplicity 101 Landlord all original except for tires that still starts and runs perfectly. I was 12 when our next-door neighbor bought it with a 48 in floating cutting deck, snowblade, bottom plow and snow blower attachment. After the elderly neighbors sold their home the Simplicity and the attachments remained in the garage. After a few years the new owners didn't want the old stuff anymore, so they told my dad who still lived next door if he wanted what was left, he could have it. The tractor, cutting deck and snow blade was free for the taking. So, me and my dad went over and brought the tractor, snow blade and cutting deck back to his garage. I eventually got around to working on it and replacing some old and cracked wires, changed the oil, spark plug, points and condenser. It is amazing how heavy built the old machines were back in the day. I never thought the Simplicity brand would go by the wayside. It seems many have their lawns cut by lawn companies and the residential high end lawn cutting machines such as Simplicity and Snapper are no longer profitable for B&S. Like you sad in your video, the cost of everything has really increased and making things like lawn equipment much harder to afford. Many who still are cutting their own lawns are buying the more affordable equipment made by MTD and the like. Just the other day I priced a 2023 Zero Turn Xmark Radius S with a 60 in deck. Out the door price was 10,800 dollars. Just 2 years ago this machine was nearly 2000 dollars less. These are difficult times we are living in. Don't see any good changes coming anytime soon. Thanks for sharing your video. The Simplicity brand will be greatly missed.

You are so right about out of control inflation. Everything is way more expensive than it was before this unqualified Bozo administration started dismantling everything that was working to keep America running strong. One more year of this downward skid may be more than this Nation can handle. At least as the common people are concerned. Have a safe and blessed winter. Time to get the snow equipment ready. @@addismultitasking3504

Excellent video. I have a 2011 Conquest. It has the newer power steering which one would never not have after having it....
Mine doesn't have the suspension... which is a bummer because the Real help of the suspension isn't just the ride, it's that it allows you to mow faster over the bumps/divots. In fact the transmission is a "high speed" version. So you get comfort And speed.
But i Also don't have what i would most like to have... the mesh seat. Seriously, that's really what you need.
One thing i DO have which works amazing with the power steering and heavy duty axle is a Johnny Bucket. Goes on with one pin in seconds... lifts 250lbs and carries and dumps more like 4-500lbs.
With a toothbar you can dig with it. Works amazing to cleat snow. It's invaluable, you'll never again use your wheelbarrow 😉
    Thnx for the review 👍

I bought my first Simplicity Conquest around 2000. It had a Vanguard engine which I don't think they have anymore. Anyway it was an absolutely fantastic tractor.

Great video. I’m looking at the simplicity brand, but having a hard time moving on from a zero turn, and also the John Deere brand. The reason why I’m looking at the simplicity is because of the ride, the free floating deck for the cut, and the striping ability. I understand that zero turns don’t stripe as good as the lawn tractors as well. I’m really torn here.

Do you happen to know how the simplicity zero turns stripe?

@@coryn5487 yes I have 2 of them right now, better than other zero turns but not as good as a conquest or prestige. You can make your own striper with a few broom heads attached to a 2x4 attached to the rear of your mower

Can you show how the suspension works in the back? Curious if belt alignment could be an issues.

B&S had been though bankruptcy, and can't find Simplicity mowers in stock anywhere, this mower compares to a JD x500. I think the simplicity has the K72 transaxle.

B&S are the best engines, Im friends with a few small engine repair guys, they all say Kohlers are junk, some years kawasaki are real good others they are no good.
