We probably shouldn’t be sharing videos of Santa Rosa Island. Pristine and unspoiled, it is truly a hidden gem and we’d hate to ever see that change. After visiting all the islands in Channel Islands National Park, we can say that Santa Rosa is our favorite. Thanks for watching our video.
Fortunately the islands are far enough out it's not an easy destination to get to. I've scuba'd around all of the islands & have visited a couple of them as well. I've only camped on Catalina, the west end, it's not part of the Channel Islands but easier to access.

Great video I like the last part with Susie asking "are your taping me?" LOL, but yeah it looked like a great vacation away from the crazy people LOL on the mainland. I loved the beaches videos. So Cool !

Thanks for posting. I can see that island from my house but not been there yet. I’ve been to both dudes if anacapa island but I’ve been wanting to camp on the other islands.
Super fun and informative! Great editing too. Love the Channel Islands. I can get the Spotted Towhee coming into a photo set up cuz they are "feeder birds" (not that that's how you got it), ...but Shrike? How the heck did you set one that up? Have to guess that is a habitual perch for the local one. If that's the case, good thinking on your part. I used to do a lot of serious bird photography back in the 90s and know a bit about that game :)
On a couple of mornings a Raven perched at the tip of our windbreak structure and carried on, so I decided to set up a “Raven Cam” except I couldn’t reach the spot, even when standing on our picnic table. So, with our limited supplies I Macgyvered a GoPro to the end of one of Susie’s hiking sticks in a way that it could be hung from the edge and film the spot. Alas, the raven was a no show, but a couple other birds made an appearance.

No need, there is running potable water in the campground.
@@MrRJCtube I'm not sure what do you mean by that. Its enough to brush my teeth, wash my face, cook a simple Ramen noodles or make instant coffee, hot oatmeal?

We went from April 28-May 6th, 2019. The campground is $15 per night.
