- Starting as the fourth seed, Marshall Kent & EJ Tackett defeat Jason Sterner and Tom Smallwood in the opening match. Next, Kent and Tackett move on to beat Sean Rash and Matt Ogle in the second round, before taking down Osku Palermaa and Jakob Butturff. The fourth seed then goes on to defeat D.J. Archer and Shawn Maldonado in the PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship Finals.

As a person who bowls semi-competitively, this reaction is BEYOND valid.
There is no greater feeling than the end of a long standing grind that you once thought was simply out of reach, only to FINALLY get it. That was me with my first 200 for so long, and the relief I felt after achieving that goal was immeasurable. Good on you EJ + Marshall!

This video confirms what most of us already know: When E.J. Tackett is on, you really can't find another human on our planet who throws more powerful strikes. Those pins might need to be replaced after these matches. Just ridiculous power, and from a one-hander. Marshall Kent bowled well too but it looked like Tackett struck on every ball he threw. I knew he didn't, but it felt like it.

There is no question EJ is the best one handed bowler and when he stays calm and composed he is very hard to beat.

My sons bowled with Kent in a pro am. He’s a cool dude! Boys loved him.
I got a little emotional when they asked for Mark Roths wife to sign the trophy. That was just pure class and respect

it was the most emotional winning moment ever.
Tackett's ball reaction was just sick. Most of the time on TV when his carry is poor, it looks like his ball is hooking too hard at the pins. If you watch here though, right when his ball gets to the pins it sets up and that's what makes awesome carry.

Dave LaMont should be in the booth full time. Rob Stone has been great for the PBA, but LaMont understands the game and pairs well with Randy.
I like Rob because he is so entertaining, I’d sign a petition to put him in the booth full time. That said Dave LaMont did a great job and would be my second choice!
@@oldsnwbrdr Rob Stone is the full time guy. He has many other obligations he fulfills with FOX. Dave Ryan and Dave LaMont fill in for Rob. Rob does a very nice job, he simply doesn’t know the game as well. Randy acts much different with Rob in the booth.
Is there room for all 3? I think they all bring something to the booth.

For f**k's sake, I click on the whole show video from the pba channel to watch this tournament, and look over and see this title. Why must you post this so early? You can't wait maybe like 2 weeks and give people a chance to watch and enjoy the suspense of who will win?
