    0:00 MINARET and RAIMENT were there. Also, they were the words that the two contestants chose in the very first letters round of the very first Ch4 episode.

    YAY I got it right with 203! My math is terrible but the more I watch the better it gets

    Another way of getting 203 is:
    8x8=64,
    64x2=128,
    128+75=203.

    The best way to get 203 is to watch Rachel do it..

    In the eighth round, I got RAIMENT. It was so obvious with the arrangement of letters that I spent the thirty seconds simply trying to see if it could be bettered. Glad to know I didn't miss any eights.
    In the ninth round, I got LOCATIVE, thanks to years spent as a Classics major and Latin student before switching to biology. Not to mention I can never remember the case without thinking of Monty Python's _Life of Brian_ : "But 'domus' takes the locative, which is...?" "'Domum'!"
    In the second numbers round, I had this solution instead:
    75 x 8 = 600
    600 + 9 = 609
    6 / 2 = 3
    609 / 3 = 203
    In the eleventh round, I also got FLOATED.
    In the twelfth round, INCENSE and SCENERY.

    I did it as.. 75x2 =150
    9x6 = 54
    8/8 = 1
    150+54-1=203

    what's wrong with 'violate' ?

    2:30 Latin doesn't really use the locative case for location except for proper nouns. Most locations are actually put in the dative case.

      Are you sure you don't mean the ablative case? The locative ablative is a recognized part of Latin, but I've never heard of the dative case being used in a locative sense outside of some dialects of Ancient Greek.

    Nobody reacted to the "Y" in the consonant shelf?

  • @GroovingPict
    @GroovingPict Před 9 lety +1

    When are the English going to learn that Y is a vowel? I know that in English it can be used as a consonant or a vowel, depending on how it is used, but even in English it is used as a vowel the majority of the time.

      It's their language so they get to decide. Any complaints or suggestions should be addressed to the Queen.
