A look at how you can link up an amplifier to another with only needing one out put from your mixer.-

Nothing in this video is given as legal evidence, it is provided for information purposes only
I run 6 amps and 18 pro speakers in my living room and you convinced me I need more amps
Yes, you can. Power and brand does not matter. All signals going into amps like this usually is line-level, so it does not matter power/brand. Check to see if your amps have the male and female connectors to link like this, because not all amplifiers have these connections.
Yeah for example i have 2 bins 2 mids and 2 tops running on a 1.5kw amp.
I run the speaker cables from my amp to mids then to bass bins then to highs.
to explain more=
mids
input = from amp, output = to bass bins
bass bins
input = from mids, output = to highs
highs
input = from bass bins
depend on your amps, these amps have an output from each channel, which make it quiet simple to work with.
right side, right side, right side, left side... think there was little bit of mixing up there that might mix up some of the viewers... :) Good video on connections.
Hi J
Question: In your first example, Linking both amps in Stereo - This would allow you to run 4 speakers (2 speakers off each amp), right? The linking is for sending a signal only and not for turning amp 2 into 2200 watts per side @ 4 ohms... right?
What equipment should I should of my amplifiers don't have a link output and my mixer has only 2 outputs... I've used splitter cables but my signal power is also split in half....
You can also connect 4 speakers together with the output of your speaker(if you speaker has output)I have a 2 channel amp and 2x850 4ohm and i have 4x400 4omh and i connect 2 spekers to the amp and the other 2 to the output of the connected speaker.
u can daisy chain the speaker, which lowers the ohms, and the wattage doesn't really change much. but thats with my speakers, all u need to do is connect 1 speaker to the amp, and the other speaker of the first 1. and your set
Good evening, how are you?
Just want to ask you a question. I three amplifier a driverack PA2 and I'm trying to hook up a Behringer equalizer any advice how to hook up the Behringer equalizer to the driverack and get both side of the equalizer to work.
your the man! all info, no bullshit. THANK YOU!
sir I have a question. I play the bass guitar and I was wondering if I could connect my bass amp to the mixer to use it as a floor monitor to hear my self?
if you dont want to do it this way you can buy a rca splitter at radio shack an a 1/4" adapter an hook up two setsof rca's it works just as well or if not better
I NEED HELP TO PICK THE RIGHT AMP FOR MY SET UP PLS I HAVE 2 MACKIE S525 2500W TOPS AND 2 CERWIN VEGA JE36C 1000W SUBWOOFERS AND THEY BOTH 8
Coloured cables or shorter cables (so you can see what joins to what), would really have helped.
How do you connect two amps mixer and crossover without equalizer
No, it wouldn't blow the amplifiers, as long as you apply this only to the input cables. And no, there's no difference if the amps don't match watt output. But I would recommend connecting the amps as stereo amplifiers, for having both channel matching each other.
Please I have a question.
If I link my power amps the volume come very low. What is the problem
Lol. Easy with outputs right there!! Problem is most amps don't have outputs like these. For anyone without look up a video on parallel inputs.
I'm looking to take two identical power amps...one amp for dual 15" speakers and one amp for single 15" and two subs...so six speakers in all ...one dual one single and one sub for left and the others for right...all the same ohms ...how would I do this?? Thanks for your time..
Jonathan, I trust you are okay. I would do with your help setting up my church system. We have Mixer, 1 Crossover, 1 Equaliser, and two Amp. Please help.
Thanks! Helped linking my 2 amps with out buying extra stuff.
Is the point of connecting amps using just L OR R to use more speakers for L/R..? Cause what I see is that you're basiclly going R out of mixer into one of your amps. the first channel links over to channel B. one amp will power two speakers alone (channels a/b) and then out of channel b of the first amp, into the second, and link both of those channels again, allowing them to power eachother, allowing you to use four Speakon out speakers. Is this the point in connecting the amps like so? Thanks
this is how you do it u need connect ur guitar to ur mixer then coneect ur mixer to EQ then connect ur EQ to power amp by using only one channel then connect your subwoofer to ur power amp make sure you bridge ur amplifier to give more power to ur sub remember a low freq drives a lot of power enjoy ur bass soind
That never dawned on to me I have amplifiers that has the same exact thing is what you got 🤦😂😱 thank you for bringing this to my attention
and so linking the amplifiers in this manor is to double up on the amplification, correct? 2 channels at 200 watts linked now gives you the 1 channel at 400 watts..... Am I understanding this correctly?
Sir, Can 1 signal from aux mixer link to 4 channel 1 amplifier?
i have a question. What should I do if I want to use one speaker that needs an amp to power it. I only have a 2 channel amp. For instance I want to use the passive speaker as a monitor (i don't need 2 monitors). Some help please. thanks
man I need some help ! ... i'm going from my numark pro dj 2 controller into the input on channel one of my crossover (three quarter jack) ..... I assume I then go from `LOW channel 1 on the rear of crossover to input on amp A ... then from HIGH output channel one of the crossover to input on amp B .... DO I THEN RUN ONE CABLE FROM AMP A TO THE BASS BIN AND DAISEY CHAIN OR DO I RUN 2 CABLES FROM THE AMP A , ONE TO THE ONE BASS SPEAKER AND ONE CABLE TO THE OTHER BASS SPEAKER . confused .com
@fiafiarekortz Yes. Some amps will have different connection on the back though like either 1/4" or XLR. But the clubs I've worked at uses different amps alll the time.
Thank you. Very good instructional video.
How to connect multiple amps to mixer without daisy chaining.... Is this possible. Linkable amps are far & few between! Is there a way I can connect L & R signal from mixer crossover to multiple amplifiers without daisy chain. Something like a signal distribution board?
Screw these annoying new amplifiers without Daisy chaining option. They should be compulsory! The amount of amps I turn down due to not having this option is becoming ridiculous!!!
if the desk has a mono out, u use that for the sub, and the main for the tops, but if u only have an main mix, u would need to by a cross-over, but i would have to look into it more not positive on thats the only way
Hi, plan to add amp in my existing onkyo rz730 avr to enhance sound. my question is can you use an avr or just an amphlifier as extended unit? what would be the difference? Thank you and more power!
Will this also work on sound cards or anlog to ditail interfaces? Like taken a USB output mixer to PC and an 8 channel Tascam interface to PC? What im tring to say is can you daisy chain USB?
Merci pour ta video c est tres instructif.
Grand bavo.
Que dieu te bénisse
please can i connect two different Amplifiers together ?
Can you please help with my Query?
Hi
Can I connect a Technics SU-G91 amplifer to my new Denon AVR-710W amplifier.
I have a soft corner for Technics and my Technics cassete player - RS-TR373M2 cassete is connected to the Technics amp. I want to keep it that way. Let the Denon do the amplification by I just wish to keep the technics amp in the loop. I also have the following TECHNICS SH-Z900 STEREO GRAPHIC EQUALIZER 7-Channel Spectrum Analyzer SHZ900 and Technics EQ SH-GE70 w/Spectrum Analyzer & Realistic tape control centre. My speakers are Klipsh RF 600 with BiAmp Option. Thanks
Prodi
@themac10tube the output would be the same as what they are rated 1100W @4ohms per side. linking them like this does not make one huge amp. you still have 4 outputs. it is just sharing the signal.
Hey, Great video, but my (hyphotetical) question would be is it okay to use the first Amplifier to run a a pair of tops, then pass the signal to another amplifier with higher power output to run my subwoofers? Don't i need a crossover, or does the speakers filter out the frequencies it needs by itself?
yes you can connect your bass guitar to your regular mixer
No, powered speakers already have a power amp built in, take an XLR straight from the mixer to the speaker.
I have an audio choice by soundtech and a passport 500 pro I was wondering if there a way I can merge the 2 to have all the mic connect together
How do I link other racks like maximizer with the bbe, eq, compressor, reverb, ect ect using cables like 1/4”

@anaphaxeon i absolutely agree with you, it's the easiest way and in my opinion (for most people) also the safest because there isn't a whole lot of things that can go wrong conection wise in the setup way you mentioned.
is it perfectly alright to store amplifiers *in a rack system* on its side or lying down?... I have a truck with a low lying bed cover so there is no vertical room to store anything upright
Need help. I have 2x ASCII plx 3602 can I link them?i have jbl vrx 915s 2 x subs and. 2 x mrx 512 tops, how to get best from this set please help
so stereo or parallel at the amplifier button
also was wondering if you had any tips I might be able to try to correct that.
If you have 2 amplif with 2 xlr inputs and 2 jack inputs for left and right. Can you link the 2 amplif with xlr to jack cables ?
lovely tutorial.thank u so much.need more tutorials on setting up a system.
What is the benefit of linking amps? I really need to know because I may get a speaker amp package but I already have an amp
Can you link two crown xti 1000 to each other and use only one amp as main and one as slave ? If so how do you do it thanks
hi,i really need help but i dont know where to start.im just a mom trying to make a simple karaoke system for my kids.cant afford to buy a karaoke system so i decided 2 buy an AMP w/ mic input, but im having problems connecting our speakers 2 our AMP.my speakers has like 8 wires(set of blue/blue striped black & red/red striped black).but the AMP has only 4 input (whatever that is). but both of the sounds goes out in one set of input only.can i twist them & put in one input or what can u advice?
hi,
can someone please try and answer this question:
if i got two of the amps in the video (studiomaster ax3500) and i linked the amps using the stereo method what would be the peak outputs to each of the channels at 4 and 8 ohms?
thanks in advance
hi,thats great..can u post a vid bout bridged n parallel amps..dont quiet understand..thanks,lookin forward to it..
I have a pair of tower speakers which amp would I hook the speakers up to when your linking amp
hi can you link 2 diffrent amplifers ie warrior and peavey, thanks, have got a lot if info from you thanks again.
Helo, Good day... Can u pls help me on how to set up becoz i have 1 Laptop for player,1 mixer console, 2 power amp, 2 equalizer, 1 crossover 3 way, 2 comp/maximizer, 1 set of sub and 1 set of mid/high speaker?
hi there wanted to know how to hook amps up in bridge using daisy chain?
i wanted to do it like that but i wernt too shure if it would blow the amps
@thedjfantastic1 In a lot of cases you get better low end if you use 1 sub bacause if you under power 2 subs, there wont be enough bass. On the back it should show a + on one channel you use and a - on ther opposite channel.
how would i do it with 3 amps
i have phono and jack inputs
and xlr, speakon and screw terminal outputs
i cant seem to find out how to do it,plz reply
Thanks for sharing..... It's really helpful
if i got lets say two amps for subs.
TRS coming in with signal in amp1. Then XLR going out to TRS into amp2. Would that work.
Or does it need to enter via XLR and go out with TRS?
i did dat and it blow my speaker out...i think i over power it...wht u think ellaskins
is this safe to do? do both amps have to be the same? is this not a different way to bridge (in a way)?
thanks.ive been using splitter all along.
Could be possible to jump or link my two ampeg 350H amplifier?....please let me know
ummm.. u mention that this is only in mono mode.. what about stereo mode?? is it still the same ... or different.. to link up an power amp to the other???
Since most monitors are 4 ohm and most subs are 8 ohms, do you just run the monitors from your monitors amp and subs from your other amp and does this cause a conflict between amps or since they can run 4 or 8 ohms does it matter?
Can you link 2 different brands?
hey bro, I know my english is not well ..but i would like to know ( if you understand me), what if i want to connect 3 or 4 amps like you did in the video , can i do or it won't work .
thanks for you answer..
... OR use paralell mono, and one amp per channel (of course, if the amps are 2 times the same)
I have 4 cerwin vega 18's and two dual peavey 15's on top right now am using a peavy 2,000 watt amp with built in cross over with gemini mixer it sounds good but i need to know wat do i really need to push my speakers and make it sound right and loud with the right equipment at a affordale budget someone was telling me to choose qsc?
Behringer Power amplifiers are easy on the wallet and great on the ears
i have a peavey pv 900 power amplifier
and when i turn on the amplifier, it turns off by itself
does anyone know why it does that
please let me know by replying
thank u
at 2 mins in does he get lefts and rights mixed up in the end he says the top 2 are right and the top of the bottom amp is right and only the bottom output is left so thats 3 right and 1 left ????
+kd kd
yes
I got mixed up myself by what he said.
when he says that, he's talking about getting two other amplifiers.... to have more power. 4 amplifiers. in case you want to do that. he tells you how to do it.
@juancs1813 The output of the XLR's will be the same. You can hook up as many as you want.
Nice video. My question is. Is there a limit as to how many amps can I link in stereo mode? Lets say I have six amps or even more can I link them all the same way?
How to link two mixer channels to pan them
hello I have two amps , one alto mistral 900, and one alto mistral 2500.
is it possible to link these two amps so i can run my subs on the 2500 en top/mids on the 900?
cheers
I have a question is it normal for a mixer to quiet down between passages of songs Ive been having a problem with that at low volume its just the amplifer that im using for my mids somebody told me it might be because im using to different mids iuse pyle mids and have a pair of sony mids but will eventually take the sony mids out and replace them with the pyle so they will match I know pyle aint the best but it works for me for just a bedroom system I was just wondering .Thanks
Thank you for the Video, I hope to god it works on my cheap Marathon Amps. Please make a Video on Compressors.
दोन amplifier कैसे कनेक्ट करे बताइये.
How do you hook up amp to receiver please help?
I'd just like to point out that these "Thru" terminals aren't always fitted to amplifiers. (eg W Audio DA800 doesn't have them)
The Ports are also on most active speakers.
Hello!! the stereo linking at 2.00 makes my tops drop sound. Less voice and less power. But when I remove the link to second amp. It plays loud and clear again. can someone help me figure the trouble? Thanks
Can amps handle a lot of wats input. Like a line of 1500 watts coming into an amp. Is that safe.
How many speakers can you hook up to a linked amp
My speakers are capable of running at 600 watts rms each (@ 8 ohms) and my amp claims to have 3000 watts but only 300 watts rms at 8 ohms per "speaker" How can I get more power to my speakers from the amp? the amp says it's clipping and the woofers on the speakers are barely moving
What is the benefit of linking amp>amp?.. saving output from mixer?
How is it done with old fashioned rca inputs
Thank you. I have a serious question. Is it possible to connect 2 amps together, from one's powered output (speakon) to another's input (speakon input or ts input of 2nd amp)? The idea is to get more power for higher rated speakers.
you can NOT go from one amp out ( out to speakers) to another amp input
@@ellaskins so I'm guessing there's all sorts of stuff that can go wrong like destroying the amp input, or damaging both, or even damaging myself. Thanks man.
@@joshuahaewardii8540 correct, as well as damaging your speakers from clipping. If you want more power then use more amplifiers.
hi !!! i have 4 crown ce 2000 , can you tell me how to link this amps
thank you
So link is Actually output?
i linked both amps in stereo mode, but the was a big volume drop. Can you explain? Thanks
+wariba a should never be a big volume drop could be your cables
