I love watching videos like this just wished I had sooo much more supplies I’m slowly growing mine but I really only have the prisma color premiers and the arteza pencils. I CAN’T wait to get the polychromos
It can take time to build up a collection. I hope by now you were able to get your Polychromos. :) I know I love mine and can never be without them.
Sharon's Sanctuary I have the money ready to go just waiting on amazon to lower the price.
Marco Raffine were given to me by my brother and sister in law 3 years ago for Christmas. They were my first pencils above the Crayola and Rose Art. I loved them at the time now I like them. I bought a few Prisma Colors open stock at Michael's and I really fell in love. I saved up and got the set of 72 on Amazon. I keep them in an orange pencil case because I say to myself orange you glad you finally got your Prisma Colors? Yes I am that corny on a regular basis lol!
LOL!!! You are corny but hey, so am I. :D Yeah, Marco Raffines aren't my faves but they get the job done. With a lot of pencils - these included - the paper makes a difference. There are other pencils I reach for first before heading to the Raffines. Prismacolrs, well, it doesn't get much better than that. :)
Omg loved seeing your colored pencil collection!!! 🤩
Thank you! It was such fun showing it to you all. :)
I love my Polys so much. I don't think that they are too hard. Harder than Prismacolor, yes, but what isn't? Them being a bit harder makes them really sturdy too. I didn't know that you can buy them open stock in the US (I'm in Europe). While getting a full 120 set of Polychromos is expensive, getting open stock replacements is not SO expensive that you hold back on using them. I will probably never have Caran d'Ache pencils because I'd just never use them so I have "save" them which is stupid.
Colored pencil heaven!! Thank you for sharing your collection =)
Oh yes! Colored Pencil Heaven, definitely. :D So glad you enjoyed seeing my collection. :)
If I went thru all my supplies we would be here for 200 years... lol Kisses to my puppies
LOL! I feel like it took me 200 gears to do with all the editing I did. :D But it was fun, They send kisses right back. :)
Wow love to see a big pencil collections. Thank you fir the detailed review 😊
Love your videos☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
Thank you so, so much! :)
Holy cow Sharon ! Bar the windows and lock the door! You have a fabulous collection there BTW did you know that there is a set that matches your blue flowered confection metallic set in your watercolor bag yep it's on Amazon just thought you might want to know happy coloring and painting
LOL Joey! I LOVE your comment. :D I love my supplies and my books.. They took me a long time to get but I feel like I have a lovely arsenal. :) Did you mean the other set of the Jane Davenport watercolors? I have all three palettes now. :) The last one took a bit longer to be delivered due to extreme weather. I now have all three of those palettes and they're so pretty. :)
@@NisesSanctuary no Sharon I meant the metallic ones it's a plastic white box with blue flowers there's like I don't know 12 or 14 colors in it if you go on Amazon there's a pink set also that has different metallic colors in it I believe they're made by confection also
@@NisesSanctuary I guess I wasn't clear so I just looked it up it's called Prima marketing metallics pastel accents it has pink flowers on the white plastic box instead of blue like you have just thought you might like to add to your collection even though you don't need it I've been collecting also a little bit at a time it's definitely addictive is collecting thing and FSS! Happy coloring and collecting LOL
Oh yes! Gotcha! Those metallic are nice! :D I don't think the pink one was available at the time I got the blue one but I'll be adding that for sure *Sharon's hot finger back in action lol* With me and my FSS, I try to leave no stone unturned so thanks for the heads up. :D
@@NisesSanctuary oh I gotcha I wanted those Paul Ruben metallics but got these instead cuz they were cheaper eventually I'll get the Rubens though LOL
Loved seeing all your beautiful things!
Thank you! :) I had a great time showing them.
What a fab collection, thank you for sharing! I would be interested in your assessment of the Blick pencils when you have a chance, please. Regarding Goldfaber, I recently got the full 48 set and I like them very much. I thought that the 48 count would be too limited but the choice of hues is excellent for colouring in a more straightforward way (I.e. not using 6-7 layers but more like 3-4). Their pigment load is rich, I can lay down opaque and vibrant colour in one layer without an issue. My new favourite medium budget pencils.
So glad you enjoyed my collection. :) I had fun showing it. Ah yes! The Blick pencils will definitely be spotlighted and will be a part of PencilMania. :) I've head a lot of great things about the Goldfaber and want to get the entire set. Yeah, 48 doesn't seen like a lot but it sounds like the color payoff more than makes up for it.
Sweetie, you mentioned that your Faber Castell Pitt markers came from the " outlet". What outlets are you speaking of? Was it a particular store name? I'm wondering if I have something similar near me. I always assumed outlets were for clothing stores so I really want to look it up and see if I have one near me! And by the way.... AWESOME video! I loved all your supplies!
They came from the Blick Outlet store in Galesburg, IL. From what I know, this one is the only one. It's in the same place as the regular Blick store but there is a room designated for outlet items. This means there are some that are "bottom shelf" where something could be slightly damaged or maybe someone returned something after deciding they didn't like it. They can't sell it as brand new so prices are marked way down. I hope that helps. :) So glad you enjoyed the video and seeing my supplies. It was such fun showing them to you all.
Lots of Yummy scrummy supplies, thanks for sharing x
Thank you so much! It was fun making this video. xxxx
Wow So Many Pencils! Is such a range necessary for colouring? Or is it more about the collecting?
LOL! Gosh! No, one set is perfectly fine for coloring. But being a CZcamsr, I like to review different sets, as some have more color choices, are more pigmented, lay down better on certain kinds of paper, etc. But to just sit down and color, a set of Crayolas (or whatever you prefer) will suffice.
@@NisesSanctuary Hi Sharon, just saw you replied to my comment from over a year ago... let’s just say I have just as many pencils now! Pencils are fun!
@@ArtJourneyUK Hahha! :D :D Once the addiction starts, it's hard to quit. No lie about that. Pencils are fun and there's always something new or upgraded in the works or on the market. Gotta love it. At least, I do. :)
Sharon you have very nice supplies. Have fun happy coloring.
Thank you! I'm quite happy with my coloring supplies. :)
Thanks for sharing amazing collection happy coloring
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed.
Out of all my pencil sets my polychromo,s come top, I just love them, I've just gotten 3 replacement colours cause
they got down to stumps😀
Same here. My Polychromos will always have my heart. Some of mine will need replacing soon as will some of my Prismas.
I also love my Hero pencils - lots to choose from. I used the Amazon brand to start a picture a few days ago and so far so good. Koo I Noor are in my top 5. I am VERY curious about the upgraded Seargent Art brand and the ones with the hard to say name you showed towards the end - SF are the initials and they have like a house scene on the tin. Amazon CONSTANTLY suggests to me that I may like Arteeza pencils - must be that fairy of yours! They thrown in suggestions for Feela but not as often.
LOL!!! Me and my fairies are always up for helping. :D Those pesky suggestions LOL! They definitely know how to rope you in to getting something extra wile you're shopping. All those pencils you mentioned will definitely be a part of PecilMania. :)
I enjoyed seeing all your art supplies, where did you get your polka dot design bag that you have your watercolors in? I need to get something like that to hold my watercolors.
Thank you so much! It was such fun showing you all everything. :) The bag came from Amazon, and I think there were 2 or 3 in the set. I just typed in Polka Dot Cosmetic bags and there they were. :)
@@NisesSanctuary Thank your the information on the Polka Dot bag.
Hey! You have a beautiful collection of supplies! I have to say i got a bit disapointed that for many items you didnt show all the trays of pencils, the fineliners by arteza or opened the paul rubens regular watercolor palette... I mean i really like to be able to see the actual line of products when your showing them otherwise it feels more like a counter than a haul. I understand the long videos can be a reason for it but ... Anyway i just felt i had to say it. But beautiful collection! Enjoy 🌟
I'm definitely happy with my supplies. As for opening the trays and watercolors, the watercolors will be opened on camera when I swatch. The pencils and fineliners will be shown all the way when I get them into nicer cases. This wasn't a haul - this was going through the supplies I have. Hauls are items that were recently purchased.
I can't even find a book I wanna use my Holbeins in 😆
Thank you for sharing you supplies and opinions. Which pencils do you feel work best with create space paper please? 🇦🇺
Thank you so much! IMO, a harder pencil works best on Create Space. Polychromos work well on it but you have to do some extra blending sometimes because you might see some of the tooth of the paper come through. Funnily enough, good ol' Crayola works wonders on it.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks.
What is your favorite water color supply? We are out of the negative temps here in Menomonie, WI....but we have freezing drizzle which equals black ice plus heavy fog. UGH...such is winter. :)
I hear you! i am SO ready for Spring. It wasn't bad but when it hit, we really got sacked with it.Hmmm...that's tough. For watercolor pencils, I love my Albrecht Durer pencils. They are the same colors as Polychromos but in watercolor format. So pretty! For actual watercolors, I love the Kuretake ones. There are some really pretty colors and quite inexpensive. They don't have much of a chalky residue once they dry (which I hate) and you get a lot of paint in the pans. Also, the Paul Rubens are nice as are Windsor & Newton Coitman, another inexpensive option. I'm not familiar with Daniel Smith or Schmincke because those are too expensive for me to want to get at this point.
@@NisesSanctuary Thank you sooooo much for answering my question. It is a medium I'm ready to add to my arsenal but had no idea where to start when it came to picking my first set. I really appreciate your opinion. Have a great day and looking forward to your next video. 😉
I have the Holbein pastel set they nice pencils
They certainly are. :)
Lovely!! Also, how can you tell if something is on create space paper?!
There’s a bar code on the back page of the book and there’s usually someplace that says Create Space. Look on the very back page.
If you're ordering online, just check the details and it'll mention it. Sometimes the artist will add pdfs with the purchase or sold separately and then that way you can print on any paper you want.
I've never known anyone with that big of a collection
