check out this synth that my buddy made (sounds really good :)
• 9/12 Port Siren
this is a 9/12 ratio siren 18 inch rotor (same as allertor, model 5/7T, SD-10, etc)
there is another version of the Federal 500AT (10/12) this is not a common single rotor ratio, as it has a 22 inch rotor and also used in rare allertors, and Mobile Directos.

the siren no longer rotates. It's in a fixed position facing roughly southeast pointing toward Street Rd.

Allertors have 22 inch rotors. They also have 3 vanes on the 9 side only. This has 3 vanes on both. Howlers have 18 inch rotors.
Because this siren doesn’t rotate anymore, I can now here it from my house, as it is pointing in my direction. I’m about 5 miles from it.

+mimiguy 2 somewhat, yeah, same port ratios, different rotor designs, however the p-15 was manufactured 1980 to 1992 while the FS 500 series were 1950s to 1981

+mimiguy 2 yeah, ACA improved the design of the rotor by the angled blades and a 22 inch rotor while FS had straight blades and an 18 inch rotor.

+mimiguy 2 fs and aca both made their designs, they both are similar because they are identical, sound similar and they both rotate. i dont know what FS said about ACA for the p-15 but ACA knows how to make good sirens lol

both cyclone and the Penetrator 50 use an 8/12 ratio, only difference is the P-50 rotates and focuses the output vs the cyclone is omnidirectional. they both use a 50HP motor

+Abbey Maddox kinda but 5x more powerful and louder! FS like to use same parts for most of their sirens that are 9/12. So the same rotor and stator assembly is used on all 9/12 ratio sirens made by Federal Signal
