How to Clean out the Hair in a Vacuum Cleaner Brush Roller - Sebo Automatic X4 Excel

Hi, this quick video shows you how to remove hair etc. from a vacuum cleaner brush roller. The vacuum cleaner in the video is a Sebo Automatic X4 Excel but a similar process will apply for most upright cleaners.

I've been cleaning my brush with it on the machine. I was looking for another clue on unclogging. There wasn't a clog that way so I checked my brush which had a clog. I cut with the scissors with the roller still attached but it didn't get the complete hairs out so... so glad I found your video on how to clean the brush the right way. One unclogged machine now. Thank you so much and the other guy whose video helped too.

This is pretty much the way I clean these, I used to have carpet where the edges frayed a little and got caught in the brush, and bought a few used units from boot sales in past, most difficult one was a unit that didn't have any suction, had to take the back off and the actual internals where the electronics were were caked in dust and dirt, after it was all cleaned out it worked as new or almost 3 years after until the problem came back.

There is very good VAC cleaning brush that's help to cut the hair and you don't need to use a scissors.

It's much easier to just run a razor blade down the roller. You won't do it any harm. You'll just make a small line in the plastic tube from the cut. Instead of cutting with scissors for 5 minutes. You can slice it all off in seconds.

Looks like a bagged vaccuum cleaner, today manufacturers make it far more difficult to remove the brush on newer vaccuums.
