  • This is my step by step video series on how to install an off-grid stand-alone battery backup solar power system.
Here we are pulling the wiring through the flexible conduit and mounted the PV MidNite Solar Combiner box on the wall. We have also wired the combiner and connected it to the enclosure panel.
System specs and major component parts:
    48Volt Nominal System
4100Watt Solar Array (18 x 230Watt SoPray Polycrystalline Photovoltaic Solar Panels)
    4400Watt 48V Magnum Pure-Sine Inverter,
Outback FM80 80Amp Charge Controller with MPPT
    16 x L-16 6V Deep Cycle Batteries
Main Enclosure Panel (Custom API E-Panel)
MidNite Solar 6 String Combiner Box
ProSolar Roof Rack and Fast Jack Mounting
**Solar power arrays and components are designed to be installed by professionals. They are Dangerous electrical instruments. Misuse could result in injury or death. Please do not try this at home.

I have taken courses at The Solar Living Institute in Hopland, Ca. Its best to learn as much as possible on your own then take course from professionals. Then you can get certified by NABCEP and continue your practice and gain experience before doing an apprenticeship in electrical.

I wish people would stop putting that "inplix" crap on these solar web videos. These are for real people doing real work, not that hokey crap trying to sell you software and give stupid advice.

If you don't know how to make it by yourself , just go to inplix website.
