What irritates me about Eldritch immunity is that lore wise where was this immunity when the Titans were burned by Chandra and Nissa?
Heck, what about "Not Of This World"?
Think there's actually a card about that, something where the leylines were used to remove indestructible and Hexproof (though you are right, they literally warp the world around them for defenses so it should've been harder)
In D&D terms, the Eldrazi are immune to Non-magical damage, magical fire Is magical damage
They don't care about their lore, increasingly they don't care about game play. They just care about the novelty of new cards that will make money.
@@SkeletalCommissar I would agree with that but we have plenty of lore and card descriptions that show even magic has very little of any effect on them.

True, but honestly, who's gonna spend the time running an entire commander deck through a scanner just to spite people making fun of your camera? No one is trying to impress WotC, if anything you need to impress the people you're leaking to by actually getting the card name in the shot. Thunder Junction leak was way cleaner.

I'm a simple MtG player, I see Eldrazi post Modern Horizons 3 I scoop.
I was going crazy for Mutated Cultist... then realized was from commander set so is ok.
Note with Tempt with Mayhem. Based on how it is worded you get the copies first then the opponents (in reverse turn order).
I am not sure about even buying MTG this year.
Eldrazi Spawn tokens are the 0/1. Eldrazi Scion tokens are 1/1s from Eldritch Moon.
"I cast Lightning Bolt, hold priority and Fork it."

Sounds like your average commander game to me.
You can't fork the T.W.M. infinitely since it's already resolving (hence, it will be removed from the stack as soon as it will resolve, therefore it could not be copied since it will not exist anymore when the copied forks will try to resolve)
@@marcoottina654 I hadn't even thought of Forking the TWM! I was more thinking that 4 copies of Fork would be on the stack, and each could be used to copy another copy of Fork on the stack.

I would call this set “Commander Eldrazi Masters” as it still is almost entirely geared toward commander. I only play commander nowadays, but it still irks me that a set called Modern Masters” caters more toward a different format entirely. Very misleading.
The art of Eldrazi Confluence is the Eldrazi on a Leyline intersection, hence the "Confluence."

Eldrazi Spawn were the 0/1s, Eldrazi Scions were 1/1s even in Battle for Zendikar.

exterminator magmarch could be interesting with something like "echoing truth" or "chain of vapor"
Tempt With Mayham actually can counter a Counterspell. Think about it.
Everybody can copy a counterspell, the you create copies of counterspells for each of them (original + copies). Result: everything gets countered except the spell that "would have been countered", since your copies will resolve first over the opponent ones, therefore protecting the "almost countered" first spell.
It's a mess, but works

So if you make x=1 at a four player table, gluttonous enters as an 11/11 if everyone has a creature to sacrifice? That ridiculous for 5 mana

The Eldrazi deck is 6 color so I do believe Morophon would work in the 99

I’m tempted to buy that eldrazi commander deck. Because at least this one actually looks like an eldrazi deck, and has more than 13 of them.
Im still on the side that believes wizards is doing these leaks to build hype. You'll have alot more sales if people have a head start in building decks with certain combinations.

Eldrazi is WotC's method of selling mtg to players who can never win a game any other way. Just like slivers,

So they must be introducing a new counter type otherwise this "remove counters from opponents" make no sense.. poison counters are the only ones players get and you never want to remove those from your opponent.
Rad counters were introduced with Fallout, but the big one is probably energy as there is another energy themed pre-con. (Both are counters players get.)
Experience counters exist as well.

@@RollingCalf I actually don't see poison very often. I end up playing against an Ezuri deck pretty often and occasionally I have to deal with Meren. Not every play group is the same.
Size can relate to power, so the basis for an elephant is 3/3, but power doesn't relate to size, not all 3 power creatures are as big as an elephant. BBC's 4/3 doesn't mean it's a giant. It represents its power relative to how hard it can hit. Think Captain America, he would probably be a 5/5 or 6/6 in the world of mtg due to his "toughness" and striking "power." Essentially BB...uhh CHALLENGER can easily defeat a normal bear and survive.
I am so paranoid now in 2024 that I actually, genuinely do not believe this is real. I think Wizards is and has been a capitalist experiment for some time now. And then this is fake drama designed to stir clicks. You hear it and you think it's funny. The situation is completely nonsensical with leakers getting offended over cam quality. It does actually make me laugh. And in 2024, that makes me suspicious cos now I think the situation was DESIGNED to grab my attention. Do you see what I'm getting at? So I reckon this is all big stunt and they're taking notes. Maybe this information can even be sold behind closed doors in business. Data is everything these days. Data on how you can trick your customers into getting more hyped than they should be would be valuable.

This entire set looks terrible. I never cared for Eldrazi or colorless cards and this set is at minimum, 50% colorless. Add on the doubled, tripled, quadrupled prices and this is a hard pass, same as Cowboys and Indians and Murders at Detective Manor.
We're basically at Bloomburrow or bust.

I like that they included the word "each" in Eldritch Immunity. Missed opportunity to do "target creature you control gains protection from target colour".
