We are just getting trolled with titles at this point.
I, for one, am SHOCKED, AMAZED, and THRILLED!
It would be funny to have these titles in an Adam West Batman style where they punch a villan and you see WHAM! in a bubble.
@@synesthesiafilmsYou won't find much sympathy for sensationalism here, regardless of the reason
@@brb4903 I liked the video and the title. I wasn’t mad about it. It’s all in good fun.
We are all shocked!! Shocked I tell ya!
Is this the trend of AI CZcamsrs all going to add SHOCK to all their titles?
Just the low quality youtubers. Makes me think about starting my own youtube channel...
@@DeepThinker193I wouldn't be. Look at every popular gamer CZcams thumbnails they all have shocked face expression with red circles / red arrows etc. it's formulaic.
I am shocked that the whole industry is not shocked
As an entire industry, I can confirm that I’m shocked.
That silent stare of disdain the robot gives when guy steals his coffee. "Someday, human. Soon..."
At least he was not shocked, only stunned.
I get shocked so often lately, I'm basically live by doing the robot dance
The robot little tiny soccer players cool, but what would be cooler is every time that it’s scored it would do shout “ Goal” for 10 seconds.😂
Man I can't wait till I can get a robot that will automate my automated coffee machine.
This tittle:
Shocked
Smashed
Destroyed
Vaporized
674 million in funding to make a cup of coffee??? Sign me up!! I'll even add creamer!
Can't wait to see what these robots look like in 10 years
They can raise money because they focused on the most important issues with robotics. Easily teaching the robot a skill and it completes it. And it can self correct. You don't need a smooth walk or to even walk you actually only need wheels. It doesnt need insane dexterity to do most factory jobs
Well, I watch every serious robot video on CZcams, and I was genuinely surprised by what I saw here. So, totally legitimate use of the word "stuns".
Great video, Matthew! 👍
Matthew I'm really enjoying your videos I think you're very genuine and your delivery is great. I am a huge tech fan but I work 6 to 7 days a week and I really appreciate the digest of everything that's happening that you provide on your videos. Just know there's a lot of very hard-working nerds out there that don't have the time to sift through the entire web so keep up the great content.
Matthew made AGI come internally.
5:42 - this little one is hilarious tho.. :))
What we saw from futurustic movies is going to be possible in the future, cyberpunk world is possible I think. drones, robots, flying vehicles, etc
"This thing is slow and can barely make a cup of coffee."
"True, but it never complains and never asks for a raise."
"Sold! I'll buy 10,000 units."
It's crazy super impressive.
The new atlas is nuts with it's body movements.
That rolling / flying thing is insane.
We're going to be at the end of innovation by 2025
I heard that the same company created a JAMES BOND robot, and people were SHAKEN, not STUNNED.
Once we have mature robot control systems, anything can become a robot. No need for expensive hardware - a remote controlled toy car - as long as it's linked to a PC that can see it on its webcam should be able to become a robot - likewise a lego arm, or an electric toothbrush for that matter.
As long as we have an AI model that can test out the abilities of things connected to it, and see the results, any objects with motors and/or sensors should be able to work together to complete a task - and by the looks of your video, a raspberry Pi is all the computing power you should need.
Fascinating stuff!
I don't know why people are so impressed by barely functioning robotics.
The same reason people were impressed with barely functioning LLM's and Stable Diffusion a few years ago... the POTENTIAL.
People dismissing the advancements in robotics and AI remind me of people from the late 19th century who were very confident in believing that automobiles would be a fad, because a horse is cheaper and more reliable. Only staring at technology's current performance while ignoring the trajectory of its recent developments is not the smart play here.
That little humanoid football robot runs like a toddler
Honestly the way it moves so smooth and it only tool 10 hours to train that is incredible 💯
Tbf the homemade bots being trained autonomously with cheap parts was somewhat “shocking”.
Nvidia is technologically aggressive enough to get this done. They bought the company I worked for to obtain our tech after they got caught stealing it. Also they made a movie about doing dangerous jobs remotely just like this years ago called "Sleep Dealer".
This nonsense you have to sign to use their AI stuff though, you basically have to give them your first born. Used to really like Nvidia, but after reading that I'm scared to use any of their stuff.
I AM IN SHOCK AND STUNLOCK from the title... Please try different titles :) if everything shocks than nothing is
@@matthew_berman we love your content (and Wes Roth's) but you both have Shocked so much, I just want to skip it. Why not try: stunned, amazed, surprised, astonished, dumfounded, dumbstruck ?
@@matthew_berman please, i can't handle it..
i normally click on titles that containing "shock" expecting things like Sora, now i normally avoid videos containing such titles cuz i know it will be just over sensationalized boring stuff...
is it that hard to remove one word??
@@vaisakhkm783 I thought this vid was very interesting :p
What word should I replace it with?
The flat hands "I'm done and in SAFE MODE for you to approach" is actually a bit creepy...
Wow great stuff thanks for sharing. 👍
Good examples. I love the controlled arms in the mine. People assume they will loose jobs, but in reality we only have better and more safe jobs.
7:40 bro give me 50,000 base salary and I’ll do that, that looks cool as hell.
I’m STUNNED and SHOCKED!!! This CHANGES EVERYTHING!!! 😂
All TSA employees : please pick up your final pay checks
They will have all these robots out with cameras collecting data from everywhere lol
great summary
Your videos are really informative for a person like me who is busy whole day at job. Ignore the negative comments.
How does the robot push the start button? Like how special gloves are needed for touch screen technology - how was it able to push the start button?
You can print a few parts in a 3D printer, add some electronics and actuators from an online store and you have a kitchen help, and soon maybe a robo-chef in your kitchen 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯. I thought that the robotization revolution would involve super-complicated machines built in the factories of large corporations... fortunately, another path is possible.
it's a wonder i get anything done with all the stuns and shocks i get every day
Matt, just another amazing video. Been following your channel since launch, and a huge fan 🙌.
I can only imagine - when deep-pocketed investors are looking at this - they must be thinking things like asteroid mining, Dyson swarm creation, multi-generational exploration. Short-term, I'm sure Amazon is thinking "how can we pack and deliver boxes more efficiently without humans", and I know when we look at these, we think "when can robot make my coffee??". But we can't escape the reality of deep time and how a.i. and robots will hopefully help humanity be a multi-planetary and resilient species.
I am shook
The reason why this is so big and the ai youtubers use these words is because it's true, 5 years ago, this wasn't possible but within a year, we maybe able to start purchasing humanoid female robots
As the entire industry, I can confirm I am STUNNED.
Come on we know we are about 10 years behind in what we are shown. Military so advanced
Then they’ll sell you a robot in your place and ask you to download your consciousness into it to become “immortal” ❤
*Stuns!* *Shocks!*
Can't wait to see it's Jetpack in action! 😮
who else is having better conversations with ChatGPT than a human?
5:42 - Seeing how the woman interacts with the robot, it's no surprise if one day robots decide to retaliate against humans.
when robots start doing predator style bro-shakes amongst one another it's time to worry...
STUNS THW INDUSTRY OMGGGG
With the advance in multimodal, someone should create a "digital" robotic plug in interface for keyboard and mouse (yes must have screen facing camera), to mimic/automate human computer interaction. Seeing some of the attempts/demos of this type of multimodal computer interaction, we're really close to accuracy. Having a cheap robotic AI connected interface as outlined above would make this more approachable for all. Or maybe better yet monitor connected/ digitally rendered too. It's still a little confounding that AI has such difficulty performing human like interaction with a computer at a strictly digital level, but maybe something like the above could bridge the temporary gap until no traditional computer interface is needed at all.
I am stunned by this news!
Back to shocking news, I was beginning to worry.
they call me the Shock Master!!!
Good reporting, thank you Matthew.
5:46 STOP THE ROBOT ABUSE! 🤖
Titles are really annoying at this point
At 84, I have lived a better life before the tech industry invaded the Planet's 8 billion population. My first mobile phone took a flight but missed the open window and crashed on the wall. That was 2004, I only had it for 4 weeks, never replaced it. Today's "Smart" everything world is a fake world, utterly disgusting seeing people and their gadgets as part of their physical body everywhere. I have a Mac computer to do music and world peace related artwork, but after 24 years of it I curse the entire tech industry for turning people into robots and Life into a robot factory. Cheers folks, enjoy your life if you still have one.
Haha, what superlatives will you now use for headline for the latest update- video?
They should have funded boston dynamics to add some more AI in their robots. It is the most advanced robotics company. Unfortunately they get sold everytime to other companies.
I don’t get why they make this robot look like a cylon from Battlestar Galactica.
This video is both exciting and frightening. I love the idea of establishing an easier working scenario, but I'm conflicted with the thought of dangerous advancement in deep learning ai.
The industry must have been hit by a morgana stun. Because it has been shokec and stun for the last 4 months
I had showshock redemption
Well, at least Matthew didn't use "SHOCKS" in the title!
My guess is that his subscribers will come back regardless of his hyped titles because we trust him, we respect him, and we can generally rely on getting something of value. However, to get more viewers -- and new subscribers -- he uses hyped titles. Is it clickbait? Yes, but do any of us really care? His titles usually have enough descriptive words so that a subscriber can decide whether the video is worth their time.
Geez these things are not going to forget what an asshole we are to them when training them e.g. Keep squirting tomato sauce on a plate when cleaning, knocking it over when walking, moving items around, etc. We're going to get out ass kicked!
Just waiting for my chores robot
He drinks his coffee ☕without milk and sugar 😖
I’m stunned
I knew that 2024 is going to be BIG 2 years ago, sooo many things rolling out everydayy, that my head is just spinning, The Unitree robot, Figure Tesla.....to many things at the same time...
Those little football playing robots act just like toddlers, even when you push them over 😁
5:52 This evil woman should leave the poor little robot alone 😡
Bros face lookin hella moist
Isnt it better to suprise people with a intended shock, rather than lure viewers with a shocking title😊i think you would gain subscribers rather than lose them
I'm going to be a robot union organizer.
A $400,000-800,000 coffee maker, I’m shocked, throwing out my already automated Delonghi Espresso Machine that cost 0.4% of this robot coffee maker. SHOCKED!
I'm building robot AI squirrels to attack anyone saying Shocked, Circle Around or Game Changer. Like 1995 Screamers but cuter and passive unless you say the bad words
Yeah, 2024 is the beginning of the development of "The AI Incarnation in Robotic Bodies" but mainly inside labs, but the year for the Commercial Boom for Formal Home Robotic taking over CES is January 2026.
The walking is always the same, even when they made the 'President' version for America,
There's a new technology called WiTricity [wireless electricity] that is already being integrated into Tesla and BMW EV's, it'll be perfect for most robots too.
"Reinforcement learning". Toddlers about to experience a new way of learning to walk.
CHOCKS, STUNS, AMAZES!!111, OMFG THE CLICKBAIT TITLES RECENTLY.
Love the content😀😀😃😃😄😄
Nothing shocking here. AGI is still far away!
Pretty cool robot, but wake me up when it passes Steve Wozniak’s coffee test… I’m not stunned yet.
とうとう来てしまいましたね、協働だとイイですね🎉
I also unsubbed here, I'm fed up with the SHOCKING titles!
LOL the artificial intelligence Community sick of being tased every video😅
People this is shocking phenomenon. All those bots are coming . I hope Admin of this video can share the news if this is going to happen this year . I hope all shops and major offices in UK and us will have bots doing their stuff by this Christmas. Microsoft, Boston dynamic and Google speed up please the manufacturing process.
I hate to sound like I need a tinfoil hat, but I've watched this google video several times and I just can't shake the impression that it's not real video. There is just so much that looks like CGI. Even when they guy grabs the coffee cup he looks like he's greenscreened into the scene. I'm open to being wrong but I'm calling fake at this point.
Why the cut between picking up and placing the box down?
Hmmm, shady,.
Should I try to build an open-source robot?
❤ Please recover quickly from the shocking news.
yes
i would try to contribute
YES! I'm thinking the same thing.
I had a COBOT for a while but it did not live up to what I thought it should.
yes please!
YES!!! More coverage of open source robots using AI would be awesome too!
