Will there ever a right time to cover 9/l l?
Let me know all your thoughts below and try to keep things civil... For clarity, whilst Alex Mason was shot and died in 1989 (canon ending) or in 1981 (non canon alt choice in Cold War), he has been found in the files, so may return through flashbacks or something else. There was the other ending where he was still aive in BO2 that they could maybe say is canon now. We don’t know how Woods will be incorporated either. We also don’t know what year the game will start and end. It could start in 1985 and end in the 2000s, for example.

South Park made an episode about this but that was more of when is acceptable to start making jokes about such situations and others have already included it already so id say yes the truth about 9/11 is a hard pill to swallow for many and most still refuse to but wether it's a storyline that goes along with the official story or more of reality check it's going to enter the media again and again it's simply too big of an event not to it literally changed the world on so many levels it was only a matter of time before CoD touched on it as well

Battle of Fallujah - 2004
9/11 mission where you go into the tower and attempt to stop the thermite charges that were placed on the steel beams from going off. The enemies (Cerberus sleeper agents) are dressed up as office workers. You ultimately fail and you have to save as many civilans as possible before the tower falls.
This cant be cause this requires the COD executives to grow balls again.

I remember that black ops 3 had a teaser of Menendez in the campaign so i hope that he will be in this years campaign.

A way they could do it is like that mission in MW3 when your with the family recording them a bomb truck goes off you could be a civilian surviving all the wreckage and walking through it or be a cop directly on the scene or maybe a person inside getting out or the darkest one not💀
If they do it tastefully - it could be a real emotional moment. I bet it will be a brief shot of the towers if anything, I doubt they’ll do an entire mission. Although I think it would be an incredible way to open or close the game, similar to how the end of Blops 1 is the JFK tragedy
Apparently around the gulf war bin Laden was at one point an ally of the CIA prior to the events of 9/11 so a reference to him in the gulf war is possible as well.

The event could go the black ops 4 route and show off every mode with how ahead of schedule they are with everything. Starfields showing was almost a whole extra hour last year so I can expect cods to be just as long. They could show campaign talk about it. Show off multiplayer then announce an alpha as it was rumored. Show off zombies with a gameplay trailer and a cinematic for the maps. With an early access announcement. Then end it off with a verdansk teaser for warzone at the end of the year

I do hope we see a lot of great things for the upcoming BO6 or Gulf War. I’m looking forward to the campaign because we will see Adler, Mason, woods, etc. As of Frank Woods, he’s going to be retired due to getting shot on both legs. Mason, I’m hoping that he survives and continues his journey in the army. My opinion is there’s much story to discuss in the black ops series. Since upcoming Black Ops game had 4 years of development, it’s gonna be a great game so that it will bring COD back to its roots!
That is not Bowman's son I think that looks like Lawrence Sims from Cold War. My theory is that BO6 new CIA handler will be Sims since Jason Hudson was killed in Panama by Raul Menendez.

I think MWZ is setting up the BO6 Zombies story for a much larger narrative than we're expecting. It might be the copium talking, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see a significant jump forward in time at some point during BO6 to pickup where MWZ left off as we see Richtofen's big plan come to fruition, which I personally think involves him trying to take possession of the Sentinel Artifact for his own nefarious purposes.

@@trucctrucc245The world trade centre was bombed the first time in 1993. 2001 wasn’t the first time the WTC was attacked or the first time Bin Laden popped up on the radar. Bin Laden founded Al Qaeda, centred his operations in Sudan, and was placed on the FBIs 10 most wanted list all in the 90s (I think).
I guess it going to take both Gulf wars into the game events
well considering how in real life bin laden was a CIA asset it's possible he could make an appearance in game

Most likely I think you would either be a bystander on the ground or CIA/military trying to react to prevent or react to the terrorist attacks. I have a really hard time believing they'd have you play as al qaeda during 9/11

Question. Is Black Ops 2 going to be retconed? Mason was gone for over 30 years after being shot in the leg. I don't understand what's going to happen.
We are going to either play as Mason's son David,or the game is going to explain what Alex Mason was doing after he was shot in the leg by Woods
@garonisataev4916 I'd say section will meet adler and the story will be a completely new villain. Will be references to Mason and menendez but no actual footage of them. Eventually they will release them in the multiplayer because money.
