Excited to see Forza 500biii
Gonna be pretty wild!
Looking through all your videos to see if the FS300 would be worth it still. With the FS300 being $317 usd currently, would you still buy the for a 300b ii over it?
Cheers mate! I love your videos. I currently own the Nanlite 150B and use it with the Nanlite Softbox 60cm. I enjoy using it with a V-lock and having an assistant help me with on-the-move lighting. Now, the time has come for me to buy a Nanlite 200/300/500/720 and use it with the 120cm softbox. I'm just not sure which model to choose. On one hand, I love portability, but on the other hand, it's important to me that the LED can deliver enough power for the gigantic softbox.
What LED is bright enough for the 120cm when shooting in controlled indoor conditions? Also, what do I need to make use of it outdoors on an overcast day? Cheers from Denmark
I did the math and found out I needed around 4x more power so I went for the FC-500b (Will to some testing with different power stations and then keep running my 150b, 60c on v-lock)
Nice dude! My go to is the 300B II. You can use this outdoors, but not with the 120cm softbox. So if you want to be able to soften it outdoors, then at least the 500 if not the 720.
🔝 🤩🤩🤩
Next purchase?
@@AndrewMurphyFilms 🤣🤣 maybe! 😉
How does the fan noise of the fixture compare to the older 300b? I remember the first version being quite audible especially if it's close to the mic (3-6 feet). It almost sounded like turning on a small quiet fan.
The fan is much quieter on this model! Good upgrade
@@AndrewMurphyFilms Good to know! Thanks.
Nice vid, do you know how it compares according to output with the new Forza 500B II ? Is it worth waiting for that or is it only about 3/4 of a stop difference on 220V?
I haven't used the 500B ii yet, but I like having the 300B and 720B as a combo.
@@AndrewMurphyFilms thanks!
@@AndrewMurphyFilms I’ve checked them out, since I bounce light the 300 isn’t enough for me.
Ahh yeah. 300B definitely won't be bright enough. At a minimum i'd recommend a 720B. I usually use a 1200 when i bounce cause it cuts so much light
@@AndrewMurphyFilms you’re right 👍!
How does it compare nanlite fs-300b?
Color render and output is very similiar, however the FS-300B can only be used on AC power.
@@AndrewMurphyFilms isn't possible to get a 4 pin to xlr cable and run the fs300 on that power thing?
In reality the old ballast was bad design. They fixed it, good for them.
Yes, that old mount was garbage lol
