On the playstation website, they said they'll be introducing more new playable characters besides Indra and Ashura. Hopefully we'll get Kawaki and some Kara members as playable characters too.

Supposedly there's a leak of all the other characters and they're mostly Boruto characters up to the ishhiki arc, but based off all the other leaks we've had I'd take it with a grain of salt

Yeah, I am quite worried for how this new Storm game will play out, especially since I had previously platinumed Storm 3 and 4, because I love these games.
Personally, I wish they'd give other characters a new Ultimate or something too tbh. That'd be a neat addition.

As someone whoâs never played a Storm game, having this content from the different games is pretty cool
If some of the older characters don't get updated movesets/new ults or awakenings then this game will be so disappointing. I've been rocking with Tsunade who has been legitimately the same character copy pasted since the second game.
You can see some of them using their old ultimates

I was actually reading the games description, it seems it's actually gonna be a whole new game, like the story being combined into 1 game and mentions to have a boruto story unique to this specific game, which means it might actually have new content rather than just being a collection, personally I think we should wait awhile to see how everything goes
Storm 1 was trash so if they remake it into the Storm 4 style itâll be better

I hope they do more to add a bit more connective tissue with all the game-only content thatâs been around, like the forming of Painâs Akatsuki as we come to know it, and Shisuiâs storyline.
Iâm guessing thereâll be something for Indra and Asura too.
But if thereâs new story, Iâm not sure, maybe they can adapt the movies too. Idk, Iâm watching Boruto now (after just skipping over the first 60-something episodes, cause DBS has already taught me not to watch a 12 Ep. recreation of a 90 minute movie, much less a *64* episode recreation of a movie that gets the basic point across), and Iâve been having fun.
Maybe the fights arenât as great, but the story and characters make up for it I think. If they add in the Storm fighting system, plus try adding more stuff for major fights, itâd make Boruto pretty epic.
Ok just to let you know that the first 60 eps of the series isn't just telling the movie, most of it is new content of events set before the movie, only eps 51-66 is a retelling of the movie.
And honestly the anime version of the big fight with momoshiki towards the end is better than the movie, they did not hold back at all not to mention he had the superior design. But ignoring the movie there's an arc where boruto trains with hanabi, sarada meeting sasuke (in the same arc sakura has arguably her best fight in the entire series) and boruto becoming a genin. Over all I'd say its at the very least worth checking out.

Iâll probably watch those episodes once Boruto itself ends; for right now, even if theyâve added a lot of new content there that I missed out on, itâs kinda whatever for me?
Iâm a guy that doesnât have a lot of free time on his hands, especially now that Iâm working, but as nice as all those things sound, Boruto is a cool enough guy in my book.

Connections description makes it sound like the moment you complete the Storm 1 story, it puts you into Storm 2, then 3, then 4, which would mean that they would now all hypothetically share a singular combat/gameplay system.
It'd also give them the opportunity to make Storm 1 better by actually making the story make sense(the way it's told/presented is wack), and add in more story/fights(for all the games).
IDK if they are going that far, but them being turned into a singular game has to mean something(in their own words, it's been "Recut").

It would indeed be great if they updated some of the previous gamesâ stories. Storm 4âs story mode was half-assed for reasons like them cutting down cinematic cutscenes in place of slideshow clips from the anime, so I seriously hope that this game will fix it. Also, Storm 1âs story mode needs a serious improvement too. 1: The Land of Waves arc was never in Storm 1, so add it. 2: Cinematic cutscenes are almost nonexistent, so make the entire story mode have cutscenes in it. 3: More boss battles with QTEs instead of just the giant ones, like Rock Lee vs. Gaara and the first Naruto vs. Sasuke Final Valley fight.

Storm 4 did the story pretty good, but it did suck how much slideshow there was.
Thankfully, the game made up for it by having crazy boss fights.
I don't think they'll overhaul Storm 4 much, but I do hope they at least animate some of the cutscenes.
@@Sir_Slimbread Storm 4 came out before Naruto Shippuden ended, so CC2 didnât properly make cinematic cutscenes until they were ahead of the anime. I really hope that every event gets cinematic cutscenes instead of slideshow anime footage. Seriously, moments like Obito unmasked, Rinâs death/Obitoâs rage, and Kakashi vs. Obito deserve cinematic cutscenes.

Hopefully they can add at least new mechanics like justu clashes from storm 1 and wall running as well that way the game won't die is fast and they could bring back the 4th combo back as well
The most important thing I want is the netcode to get fixed its so bad any fight with 2 bar connection has input lag, if there was roll back netcode it would be better

The original game story will probably just be featuring indra and ashura since they have to use those characters. Boruto stuff might come eventually but it's probably not the focus sadly.
I mean, this is just the first trailer so I'm sure we'll see a lot more in terms of new characters or maps and ultimates et cetera in future ones. Either way, I'm excited for it!

It's a shame they're still using the same models and not taking advantage of the xbox series x and ps5 engine. Storm 4 also had no graphical improvements coming from generations and revolution even despite being on a more powerful engine.
Storm has ALWAYS been the pinnacle of of an anime game in my opinion. All storms combined and then you add boruto characters and story. Thereâs no way around it in my opinion.

This game caught my eye on the playstation showcase because it seemed like a way to experience the Naruto story through game, the way you experienced DBZ on Kakarot.

One thing that I donât understand is we already got a storm adaptation of some of the boruto events. It was one of the storm 4 remakes. (Because yes there are multiple now)I got it on the switch a while back because it was straight up on sale for 10$ and to my understanding it flopped on the ps4 so they ported it over to switch and it flopped again then they started decreasing the price on the switch version just to make back any money they can. So hopefully they do add more stuff from boruto. But I wouldnât be surprised if the new original story is more or less side missions that fill in gaps of the main story or are new arcs of boruto. To me this just seems to be a game to re up the rights to the game and squeeze more money out of fans.

Honestly, I really liked the free roam aspect of the first Storm game, it was much more fun running around in that setting. If we can have that with Storm 3/4 combat and a genuine open world where you can run off to other villages, I would totally grab it.
As for Connections, they did come out with Storm Generations which was more or less a retelling of Storm 1-2 without the free roam. I think maybe it'll be something like that, where it puts the entire story in one game, which is still pretty strange. I hope they make it different somehow, like update the free roam in the other games to match Storm 1. For me that alone would be worth the buy, but I'm not hopeful.

I never thought it would focus on boruto, as the name suggests "naruto" and "connections", I think we'll have a bit of boruto content, but pretty sure they'll have the game mostly for the naruto series

I really would like them to touch up old characters that have had the same movesets since 2009. Not excited for all the non-ninja like, Otsutsuki characters that are bound to flood the game.
I'll say Dragon Ball use to make the greatest anime fighting game cause Budokai, Budokai Tenkaichi, Rising Blast, and so on.
But that's when it ended. Now Naruto took over with it's long running Naruto Storm series, Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi, Battle of Z, and Kinect wasn't as good in my opinion. After that I'll say Dragon Ball took over again cause Xenoverse, FighterZ, Kakarot, and Budokdao Tenkaichi 4 (Breakers wasn't that good in my opinion, but luckily that wasn't the beginning of a bad game to come), while Naruto only made 1 non-mobile game since than which of course wasn't as good as Storm series. But oh well, atleast it's live service so it should live longer than single Naruto storm game, lol XD

It's like they took 4 and reworked the backend to handle the stories from the previous games. I guess from a qol perspective it will make enjoying the whole series less annoying for new players.

I'm so sick of storm honestly. Outside of Shinobi striker (which I hated anyway) and I guess some mobile games storm has been the only new Naruto games we have gotten since like what 2008 or something is when storm 1 came out? I was sick of storm before we even got to storm 4 I want new games. And I definitely don't see anything in here that makes me want this even if I wasn't sick of storm. Anything new we actually get here is probably just gonna be Boruto stuff which is another thing I hate anyway. It's just an all around awful time period for Naruto games or just Naruto at all right now.
