- Caitlin Clark shined in her WNBA preseason debut with a team-high 21 points, 5 threes and 3 assists, while NaLyssa Smith added 20 points and 5 rebounds and Erica Wheeler had 16 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds, but the Indiana Fever fell to the Wings 79-76 in Dallas on Friday night.

My first WNBA game was a PHX Mercury way back when...💯🔥 Attendance was alright, the arena was mostly filled. Today is the first time I watched an entire WNBA game on TV. I prefer college ball over the WNBA. It was a struggle in the 3rd to early 4th quarters where they weren't running plays. It irked that they were just shooting and missing with no regard for accountability to take high percentage shots or find the open player.
I know this is pre-season but in what world does Berger, Hall AND clock ark shoot nearly 15 times EACH while Boston has only 4 shots.

@@carlstokes9834 I Agree with you. I may be a Hawkeye Caitlin and Fever Fan, But yeah, There should’ve been Far more spreading the ball around. One other thing that really bothered me in the game, The Refs Sucked A** I mean, kudos to Dallas players for Truly making some fantastic shots, But Dallas didn’t have to worry much because they were getting Biased refs calls of Fouls called against Fever almost every time Dallas had the Ball, so it was like score, and get some Bonus Free Throws too, But every time the Fever had the ball and went down to score, Fever Players were tugged on, pulled , smacked around, and No dam calls were hardly made. I hope that the Refs get their heads out of their A** Because When the season starts, it would be comforting to know that a game will Actually come down to scoring the most points vs Refs getting ‘Foul call Happy’ and Bias towards a Team.

Just saw an interview of her talking about welcoming Clark and how awesome she’s been to her. Love that she is able to be that kind of person when the two play the same position and obviously Clark has allll the hype on her rightfully so. But wheeler as you said looked terrific and will take so much pressure off Caitlin. I’m hoping she’s able to work on her defensive game now that she doesn’t have to carry the ball and the offence for forty minutes a night haha. But yeah seems like the team is gelling early love to see it.

Wheeler and Boston are a good combo with Clark. You can tell that for many of the other players, they are still getting adjusted to her passing. They don't run the floor like Iowa did, which is where she flourishes.

falling in love with team even though i live in NYC! Love Wheeler and Boston and ofc Clark. Would like to see a longer highlights reel maybe 5-6 minutes in the regular season featuring more of the other players. That said - this is awesome as I had to miss the game tonight! Didn't get the w but there is a lot of positive takeaways from the game. Yes there was some negative but I feel like the team is on the right track. Dallas was a playoff team last year and they will be good this year as well. The fever were right there with them the whole game even leading at times. Coach did a good job getting everyone minutes and if anything this game just made me more excited for the regular season. I see a lot of win in the fevers future.
Looks like Clark is going to a star in this league.

@@fullfradi95 I'm not trying to get into it with you or be any kinda way, sincerely, and you're right she will face way better individual and team defence than that, but for me it doesn't matter, greatness at this generational level doesn't care about age, gender, race height or others hate, I'm 44, I've got eyes, played various sports competitively and coached for years, the hype is real and I think these apparent elite defences are going to be made to look average, her skill set is too good and will only improve, forget the jumper her footwork and handle will get her space against anyone and her vision and ability to complete the pass is already wild, dianna the faux goat is bitter and I think her obvious jealousy is gonna come back to haunt her massively, from lowering the rim an inch, the pay grade to this golden goose and amazing opportunity, this league it's outdated overrated attitude and ambassadors of it just can't get out of their own way, already got my jersey, backing this horse all the way... Not a bad performance for a first game. Some sloppy play on both sides, but expected. Caitlin got into foul trouble and still scored 21 points for high scorer... impressive for her first game.

I've never been interested in basketball....but I just bought WNBA League Pass for the year because I'm actually having a great time watching women's basketball.
Never thought I liked watching basketball but it was just the nba apparently because now I’m absolutely obsessed haha. I think it’s insane a season pass is what 35 bucks?! You can’t get a month for any other sport for that price! Every single game? Yeah sign me up!! Haha it was amazing be able to watch as many teams whenever I wanted last year there are so many fun players to watch right now one team isn’t really enough lol

Clark looked great! Once Boston gets used to Clark feeding her with those super quick passes they will be amazing to watch. I was shocked at how many players looked out of shape or just slow. I know it's the pre-season but conditioning should not be neglected in the off season.
