I'm a fibro patient too these yoga stretches really work people try to it your way but don't give up ( Thank you sir for making it much easier and release some pain)
You are are really a savior to many! Its been a month since I've been doing Yoga poses suggested by you for fibromyalgia. 1. I feel so much better now.2. Infact when I discussed with my doctor and she was surprised too and asked to me to continue Yoga and stop taking the medicines. Diet changes and Yoga by Chaz did the trick for me. Thank you very much! Just for the records, my issues were more than an year old before I bumped into yoga and diet changes. Free suggestion to others: Avoid acidic/sour foods, refined and fried stuff completely. And DONOT do Yoga just as some random stretches. It will never cure you. Just do everything in a relaxed way with peace of mind with patience-Trust me it works! Good Luck..
Please tell me more about diet changes I don't want to continue trying meds :( I don't eat a lot of fried food, I do eat a lot of lemon. I am trying to quit meat (I did it before my fibromyalgia diagnosed was confirmed and I actually felt better and I heard is good to avoid inflammations)
Sherlie Rodriguez Diet changes are more of trial and error. However, as a general rule of thumb, I tried to make my diet as alkaline as possible. My Ayurveda doctor advised me to stay away from lemon as much as possible. No onions, no garlic, no tomatoes, no potatoes, no egg plants etc. Mainly cucumbers, green gram (sprouted) for protein, red rice boiled, Ragi (Millets)-Millets powder (Ragi Malt) has good pottasium that helps in reducing body aches for me. Coconut water everyday also kept me alive:) I am sure you know how much better it feels if you dont have the pain even for a day..Lack of potassium and improper blood flow according me aggravates this problem and my stomach-leading to malabsorption and hence low absorption of vitamins and minerals. Since my last review, my problems have subsided so much without any Allopathic medicine. Lets see how it turns in the next months. Sorry for the rather long msg!
I'm 24 years old and have been suffering from fibromyalgia for two years, starting at the beginning of my senior year of college. I then took a year off because I was too ill to work or go to law school, as I'd planned. Your videos are helping saving my body and my life, trying to do as much of your yoga videos before school starts! THANK YOU FOR CHANGING THE WORLD
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I have fibromyalgia and I'm just getting started with Yoga again after 2 years. This video is just what I need because it didn't cause me pain. I will be watching it every morning. Again...THANK YOU!
I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate this video. I have fibromyalgia and this is one of the few videos that doesn't seem to push me too far and actually is zen like with calm music, and also gives me time to actually get a proper stretch in. With fibro my muscles are so tight and I seem to always feel better after this. Thank you. ~Holly
Reading the comments I just like to say that in yoga you can do the poses easier than demonstrated or push yourself..that is the beauty of yoga..find your own limit and work on it.
Thank you for posting this video. I always want to join classes that are not too ´low impact´for my body since I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and I always find it impossible to leep up to the normal rythm. This is a gentle and easy routine I can do at home. Thanks again.
Wow. Excellent workout. I have fibro and this really helped with my aches and pains, even after the first time I did it. Not too difficult or tiring, but great stretching and very relaxing too.
Thank you so much for this extremely helpful video!! I used to absolutely LOVE yoga but I haven't been able to practice it much the last few years due to my fibro. I'm so happy to have found your channel! And I'm very grateful that you created this video for people like me. Thank you!!
I used to do the tree pose while doing dishes as a 15-25 yr old. Also, I've been unknowingly doing yoga poses for years. Several weeks ago I took my first yoga class for taming my psoas problems. Two hours later I'm walking like I was 25 again, way before fibro. Yoga is going to be a regular part of my routine from now on.
I often finish with my legs inverted like that with my feet braced on the wall and slowly raise my hips so that all the fibro sore spots are released slowly and gently. Finishing like this was really restorative Chaz, I had not thought of using it as a resting pose. Thank you!
I found this to be very easy to follow and very helpful. I go at my pace, with the flexibility I have now knowing that it will get easier and it will help me in the long run.
I love your specialized yoga videos! I suffer from Fibromyalgia and yoga helps me so much! Three weeks ago I had a lumbar spinal fusion surgery, and in another 3 weeks I will be cleared to begin my yoga practice once again. I was wondering if you could create an as, gentle yoga practice for post (spinal) op? I would very much appreciate it, as I do not want to risk injuring myself. Thank you, Donna
The sore spots were very much aggravated by this pose, which was a hard way to end an otherwise pleasant session. Next time I'm going to try a folded blanket under my back and shoulders, to raise my upper torso off the floor and relieve some of the pressure off of those painful points.
Try little by little, you don't need to ace the exercises from the start. I also have very bad stiffness to the point where I cannot get up from bed by myself during my flares, but with time I've been able to not only do the exercises, but to regain some o fmy flexibility and I don't hurt so much :) lots of love, hang in there!
Thank you, yes you were totally right. I have been just trying calmly to do them and right now I feel much better about bending and so on. Without yoga I wouldn't be able to move. Thanks Andrias, lots of love for you too!
Sorry for the delay. Fibro requires a very gentle attitude. Physically as well as mentally. Easy does it from the start. For example, the second accident I was in, directly affected my shoulders/arms, so downward dog is a no-no for me.
Hi Chaz, Video is very useful. Would like to know we can practice same yoga asana for costochondritis. Please suggest, if it is possible upload yoga asanas for costochondritis. Thanks
while these poses may be ok for some, not too much for me. too much on my back, shoulders and a lot of us with fibro also have balance issues, so no tree position unaided. would be better slower and actually having someone who has fibro help/ advise/ perform.
Hi! I'm a patient of fibromyalgia.I saw the video, doing yoga to cure fibromyalgia but I'm unable to do so because I'm suffering from multiple diseases such as arthritis, tennis elbow, cervical disk prolapse, lumber disk prolapse. What should I do?
honestly when u have fibromyalgia crises i dont see how you can make some of those and speacialy at 12:09 minutes you dont seem to be aware of the fibromyalgia severe limitations and pain

Most of the exercises you propose I can't do them. My stiffness is so huge that no way I can touch the floor with my hands while bending

Hi I have fibromyalgia found you on CZcams and trying youga for it fyi you have any more CZcams videdos besides this one?
Hi Chaz,... I would try this first and would be in reach to you later. Thanks man...:)

Hi, Anna. What type of yoga do you recommend for someone with fibromyalgia?
Oh no i cant. Thank you
really good video but the mic messes up somewhat
It really should be illustrated by someone who actually has fibro.
Georgia NeSmith - if you don't have it, there's no way to imagine it. I probably couldn't move for two days after doing 20 minutes of this.
i have fribo.afraid it would hurt
Hi!
I'm a patient of fibromyalgia.I saw the video, doing yoga to cure fibromyalgia but I'm unable to do so because I'm suffering from multiple diseases such as arthritis, tennis elbow, cervical disk prolapse, lumber disk prolapse. What should I do?
Meeta Dua I would highly recommend seeing an exercise physiologist (they're highly trained in exercise / stretches for chronic pain!)
Physiotherapy.
I do the tree pose while doing dishes.

Voiles Auxvents I completely agree. There is no way I could do some of these, even on a good day.
Can you do a session for ingrown toenail? What about halitosis?
I really like ur video but those exercises are way to heavy and painful for me, did you ever talked to a person with fibro about your yoga tips?
I can't seem to find you on facebook.

Thank You for non-wrist options; this is why I stayed away from yoga.
