If the situation with this virus gets better, my school will organize a trip to Rome. There are no words to describe how excited I am if it happens
How exciting! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
What are you going to see if you go?
My class is going next week
We are taking students to Rome and Athens. It’s been delayed 2 years. Finally!!
@@hassu2149 all the famous stuff ofc. Its mixed course about history, arts and religion, so I guess something related to those
My last visit to Rome touring Castel Sant’Angelo we came to an open gate and walked the whole passetto and I realized we were the only ones on the path and the Vatican was getting closer. But thought not much of it as the Castel had just opened. Suddenly a man wearing a Suit came running asking us to please turn around. He said it was their fault for leaving the gate open. I looked up that night where we had been and was pleasantly thrilled.
FYI: Your music is too loud, compared to your narration. Just trying to help! Love your content.
Thanks for the feedback 😊
Ditto can't enjoy
Well done, very well, you have perfectly illustrated unique corners of the city and you have provided interesting information and stories related to the various monuments, as an Italian and a Roman I absolutely recommend following your advice. Thank you for illustrating part of our history so well
Genial, soy un enamorado de Roma y me has descubierto un par de cosas. Gracias.
I’ve been to Rome many times and I watched many videos but this one is by far my favourite. Thank you very much
Brava! So helpful for those of us who have been to Rome several times, and wish to return, and continue our exploration. There is a saying, "For Rome, one lifetime is not enough." It implies that there is too much to see...but it could also suggest that that site is closed for renovation, or the season, or not the day you hoped to visit. So we have to keep coming back.
I've been to Rome probably 20 or so times in my life, and plan to go at least another 20 times. This is a fabulous video!
Thank you so much 😀
I have visited Rome many times however your excellent video shows I still have many places to see. Well done ❤️🇮🇹
I’m so glad you found some new places to explore 😀 Grazie David 🇮🇹🙏
I'm 31, I was born in Rome and still haven't visited everything Rome offers🤣
We are heading that way but regardless this was one of the most educating youtube clips I have ever viewed!
Amazing video and very informative. Thank you.
I can definitely recommend the Catacomb of Santa Domatilla. It’s a marvelous place to visit. Walking the Appian Way on Sundays is wonderful too.
I've watched countless videos on Rome, yours is chock full of unique information. We'll be sure to incorporate some of the pointers you provide during our next trip to Rome. Thanks.
Thank you! My pleasure 🙏So glad you enjoyed it.
The best video i’ve seen- rare to find videos with info and also of unique places..Thank u so much!……i wonder what are activities to do in Rome other than museums and restaurants to be able to balance out my trip?
Great video, loved the content. Your Italian is excellent BTW,
Thanks for your very comprehensive list and details covered on Rome ❤️
my pleasure 😇
Best video I've seen in a while, loved it!
A plethora of knowledge. Thank you for this
My pleasure 😇🤩🇮🇹
Sensacional! Spot on tips, clear information, and on the website you can find the exact location plus information about each place. Thank you for sharing with us!
I’m so happy to hear that 😀 Thank you 😊
Thank you so much. Lots of information I love it ❤❤
Grazie! My pleasure 🙏So glad you enjoyed it.
Great list!
Massive great souvenir!
What a brilliantly educational primer for my trip to Rome. This is great.
Grazie mille George! So glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful trip 😊
Thanks for a great vlog!
Best travel video I've ever watched. You are phenomenal.
That is so kind of you. Thank you so much Kerry 😀💚🤍❤️
I agree, this is a great video, including the sound. Thank you 😊🙏🏼
Excellent video, thank you. I've enjoyed your tips and important information regarding this wonderful city.
I’m so glad 😀 Thank you so much ❤️
I’m so glad I discovered your channel! I like how you include historical information like the “mille milestone” story and also, how to correctly pronounce local phrases. Grazie!
I’m so happy to hear you appreciate all the little details 😀 Grazie mille ❤️🇮🇹
Thank you for the fascinating and very useful video! I have done some of the 10 things on your list and can attest to the fact that they are very well-chosen. So I'm willing to bet that the rest are too! I'm saving this info for my next trip.
Wow!
One of the most spot on, informative and interesting videos about Rome. My hometown.
Also, always get a guide when you visit historical sites and galleries. You can obliviously pass in front of incredible masterpieces or features without an expert guide! They can tune the information to your level of knowledge or interest, and are generally fun and entertaining. It's better to save by seeing something less but get a guide for the attractions you visit!
Grazie milee Mario! Lo apprezzo tanto :) Adoro Roma, ci ho vissuto per 3 anni.
What a wonderful job you have done on these videos! SO proud that a fellow Aussie is the BEST! Subscribed!!
Aww thank you 😊
Well done. Thank you
What a great video! Very well thought out and lots of info that makes for an unforgettable trip. I’ve only been to Rome once, and my wife was smart enough to plan visits to some of these places. The 3 level church, and the Borghese gallery were unbelievable. I treasure all the pictures I have of the Bernini sculptures. I just subscribed and I’m using all these videos to help plan our next trip there. Ciao! And please keep up the great work!
On a side note, do you do tours? You’d make an excellent guide.
Grazie mille Brandon. I really appreciate your kind words :) Have a wonderful trip! P.S. No, I don't run tours :)
Thanks for this. I will definitely look into some of these on my upcoming trip.
My pleasure 😇 So glad you enjoyed it 😀
I love your channel. Great work! You are very informative. Thank You!
Thank you so much 😊
Gonna visit in June~ sooo excited
Great video! Excited to go to these when I visit Rome next year
Thank you so much 😊 Have a wonderful trip 💚🤍❤️
The places chosen for this video are excellent and many of them are my lists for my next trip to Rome.
I’m so glad to hear that 😀
Wow great video no other like it thanks a lot!
Thanks for sharing historical places and useful information congratulations 👌👌👌
I’m so glad. Grazie 😊
Excellent informative video. Wouldn't have known about Baths of Caracalla if not for this video. So, thank you.
Grazie mille 🇮🇹Amazing 🤩 So glad you enjoyed this guide.
Wonderful list! Some good ideas for my next visit.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😀

My pleasure Alvin 😀 So glad you enjoyed it! Have a wonderful trip 💚🤍❤️
Great video, thank you very much. I'll follow up on most of these. 5th visit coming up, done the municipal museums, now for the next layers.
Thank you 😊 I’m so happy you enjoyed it. Wishing you a wonderful trip 😀
Any advice on must go places/foods in Rome
Great Video, Congrats....
Ah! Perfetto!
I want to live to see these places. Come July.
So educational, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
This video is so good, thank u for making this gem of amazing info! I love ppl who can think of adventurous things 2do besides wait in a really long line 2visit an already crowded place!
I’m studying 2get my tour guide license here in Nyc, U motivated me 2think of things 2do out of the ordinary. I really need 2study my French/Italian languages lol..Its going 2b a bit harder since many cool places have closed/disappeared since the C.V. hit the city so hard last year 😕 Have things changed a lot over there 4u as well in Italia?
Also I swear U are the first person I ever heard with a British accent then switch to Italian! I shouldn’t be surprised just like here we speak English/Spanish and Spanglish too lol but over here where I’ve worked in hospitality no one has spoken like you!
Anyway just subscribed glad I found u nice 2meet U! Me llamo Mari Colette
Thank you so much Marie for your kind words 😀 Yes. Things have changed, just like in most places around the world but it’s slowly adjusting to the new normal! If you need help with your languages you should take a look at my language courses here bit.ly/The-Intrepid-Guide-Courses P.S. I’m Australia with Italian heritage 😉
Great video. We travel to Italy every year and we will look you up. Thanks
That’s fantastic 😀
Thanks to this video I bumped some things from my list so I could include some from this list (our visit to Rome is quick). The Centro storico Coppedè looks so wonderful that I'm going to have to walk all the way over there just to check it out! And the basilica right next to the Colosseum never even hit my radar till I watched your video. Grazie and I hope pandemic rules still allow us to come and visit in six weeks.
Oh that’s so great to hear! I wish you a wonderful time 😀
Coppedè is unique and charming, if you manage to go I would suggest to visit Villa Torlonia as well, which is few minutes walking from there. The museum and Casina delle Civette are a non-turistic must see🥰

This is the best video on Rome that I’ve seen. Going at the end on Nov
That’s so kind of you 😊Thank you so much.❤️ Glad you enjoyed it
When is your trip?
@@theintrepidguide 30th November. Trying to get my head around the covid rules
I've been to Rome a few times and explored a lot on my own. You have offered some interesting places I didn't know about. I also enjoyed your histories.
I’m so happy to hear that. Thank you so much 😊
Would you be able to tell us some of the best places you saw or best food places? Would appreciate it🙏
@@hassu2149 Sorry Hassu... I don't remember the names of places... there were so many "bars" and restaurants and "deli's"
Despite being to Rome many times I've still not made it to the Via Appia! It will have to be next time. Lovely video, thank you for sharing.
My pleasure 😇 So glad you enjoyed it 😀
Gobsmacked. Love it.
😀 I’m so glad. Grazie Belinda ❤️🇮🇹
Thank You oh Majestic CZcams algorithm for bringing me to this channel !

Basilica of Saints Ambrogio and Carlo al Corso
Thank you so much💛😇

Awesome video !
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Michelle, very informative video. Im just wondering how accessable are these sites for someone using a walking frame? Im 70, always wanted to visit Rome and am going in August 2024. Im so looking forward to it. I am trawling my way through all your videos and have subscribed 😊😊
الفيديوجميل.جداشكراجزيلا
Dovreste vedere il Giardino degli Aranci all'Aventino.... È un posto meraviglioso
Già! Dovevo includerlo nel video! 🤦♀️
Thank you so, so much Michele for such a wonderful guided tour through my favorite city, "Rome". Your coverage was simply magnificent and extremely informative. The sights (as only you now how to capture on film) were utterly breathtaking and mesmerizingly spectacular to say the least. The result of your coverage left me speechless. You are truly gifted and I look forward to seeing more videos as they come to hand. Keep up the excellent work Bella:)
Thank you so much 😊 I’m so happy to hear that 💚🤍❤️
Lovely, interested at appia antica as i love running ang cycling ☺
Oh that’s wonderful 😀 it’s bumpy ride but good fun 🚴
I love all the tips, but my favorite fact was that cats are loved in Rome 😻
I just found your video and really enjoyed it. One suggestion. Leave on screen text up longer. I was notes and had to go back in the video every time (not an easy thing to do on CZcams) and play that part again to be able to get to the pause button in time. Thanks.

You are the first interesting tour guide I've found. Are you available for a private day trip tour in March? I'm coming back...
By the way, I taught myself Italian -took 1.5 years but only spoke Italian on trip-so we can speak Italian. You must be bi-lingual Australian? I'm a linguist from Canada.
Amazing places. ❤ Sad I can't visit all since I'm only going for a day 😕
Your vedio very interesting
Thanks!
my pleasure 😇
Wonder if the Ospedale delle Bambole is still around...tiny, but I caught the proprietor in a welcoming mood.
Great video, thanks! Hoping to book a trip this upcoming February ( last 8 to 10 days) and going solo as a bucket list desire. Do you offer tours?
Thank you :) That sounds great! No, unfortunately, I do not run tours :( I wish you a wonderful trip!
@@theintrepidguide no worries, thanks for replying.
Michelle you are amazing!
I love every one of these suggestions, especially er passetto - definitely on my "to do" list.
(Although, I fear given the Australian government's decisions, I may never get back home.)
Thank you for bringing this piece of Rome.
Which is your favourite country / city?
That’s so sweet and kind of you to say so. I really appreciate your kind words 😀🤩🥰 I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😀 I used to live in Rome so my heart will always be drawn there so I’d have to say it’s my favourite, both for its tangible history and my Italian and international friends I made there. I hope you can visit soon. I’m eager to get back to Melbourne to see my family
Thanks
Grazie mille James 🙏

Awesome video. What was that behind you at the end with the crossing? Like a bridge. Grazie!!!!
Grazie! It’s at Castel Sant’Angelo
Great
Cool
I have seen most of your suggested places researching well, before l visited Roma many times. It is a fascinating ancient City, l can not get enough off ever. Every time l am there, l discover new treasures.
How ever, l wonder why there is so little about the recent history, architecture in EUR - Esposizione Universale Roma with the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana (1938-43)...the Benito Mussolini era. The fascist architecture of EUR was used by famous Italian film directors like M. Antonioni 1962 movie L’Eclisse, Bertolucci’s 1970 movie THE CONFORMIST, Fellini’s 8 1/2, And Boccaccio’70...
Also , outside Roma the marvellous Tivoli Villa d’Este, Villa Adriana. I visited these places every time l got a bit tired of the hustle bastle of Roma.
It was a great pleasure to see all these cultural, and ancient places again through your eyes, and information. Thank you. ❤🇮🇹 Greetings from Melbourne, AUS
My class is going next week to excited 😆
Have a wonderful time ❤️🇮🇹😊
Went to Saint Clement Basically and probably my highlight of Rome. Not sure how I feel about you sharing this site missed by most tourists. Spent hours in there on a summers day in peak season and barely anyone else in site. Great recommendations overall. Loved the video.which to do the Alpine way on my return to Rome.
I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it 😀
12:00. I believe that there is no fountain in the world more beautiful than “Fontana di Trevi”.
I indend to use your 80/20 method to learn Italian and Dutch over the next
3 months. I'll be travelling to the Netherlands this summer.
Heyy, a Dutchie here! How lovely to hear you want to learn the Dutch langue, it’s tough but definitely worth it :))
Two things I would recommend in regards to travelling to the Netherlands: Definitely use our train system, it’s easy and pretty cheap. Secondly, please don’t only travel to Amsterdam. Other cities like The Hague, Utrecht are just as gorgeous if not prettier!
Hope you will enjoy your trip! Ps. Bring a rain coat haha
Oh that’s wonderful 👏
