Yes this concert was epic but it does make me a little sad. At times Freddie looks really tired and he knew this would be his last tour. I just dont know how he did it but i for one am glad he did.
His iconic cloak and crown. It sold at Sotheby's for $794,000, the lucky guy who won the bid was in tears. 😊 Freddie did say, sometimes he just doesn't want to be Freddie Mercury. Great reaction
Anybody else wearing a crown would be considered pretencious. But Freddie managed to make it look distinguished and fun and showing he was not taking himself seriously at the same time. That voice..even when he couldn't reach some notes and had to replace them with more clever option.. that voice was still irreplaceable. In my mind nobody measures up to Freddie Mercury and Queen as a band. Period.

Queen is the champions Freddie Mercery was unike he was simpley the best performer and singer of all time missed him greatings from norway
That is always their last song. They do WE WILL ROCK YOU and WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS back to back at the end of every concert. Freddie's vocals are phenomenal ❤
Actually, at the end of the shows on this tour, they would play "Friends Will Be Friends" in between "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions"

Thank you very much Hap3 for this iconic video at Wembley Stadium. Freddie Mercury wrote the lyrics for We are the Champions, within 9 pages. I can't even imagine how Freddie put this song into context. He was an absolute genius, and yet he always kept going, and he did continue with their concerts till the very end.

It's almost impossible to spot Spike Edney in the video of Queen's legendary set at Live Aid, but if you pause the footage near the end of “Hammer to Fall” at the 12:22 mark you can just about see him in the background. He's the dark-haired fellow playing guitar next to a wall of keyboards. He played the piano when Freddie gets up.
The lesser spotted Friday night concert rather than the Saturday 👍🏻 (hence the slight lack of camera coverage)

The Friday night show is my favorite of the two. It rained, which made for some interesting ad libs, visuals and such. Also, best performance of Who Wants to Live Forever, among others, IMO. ♥

…I know it’s just happenstance that you reacted to the lesser-known Friday, July 11 performance here (instead of the more-frequently-reacted-to Saturday, July 12 one)…
But, HURRAYYY for me!!! (Because for most of the Wembley set list, I PREFER the first show when Freddie’s voice was “fresher”… for instance, with this song, on the second night his somewhat-tired voice had a couple of cracks while singing.
…And also because in the Friday show, his jokes were much LESS “politically correct”, if you get my meaning!😉For example: On Friday at the beginning of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, he says “This is for all you crazy faggots out there!” …oh, FREDDIE!)
