  • The Ethiopian community is thriving in the Washington, D.C. area, with the largest number of Ethiopians outside of east Africa. The nation's embassy estimates about 200,000 people of Ethiopian descent live in the region. And, just as in any city with a large immigrant population, many have opened restaurants offering traditional fare to their countrymen and their new neighbors. VOA's Deborah Block reports diners get a taste of the culture along with the cuisine.

Fantastic. But isn't this mostly Oromo Ethiopian, and not any other?

Its Amhara, Gurage’s Ethiopia in DC . Oromos are mostly in Minnesota. If you are going by the Oromo dance at the start, those are Amhara dancers; Ashenafi & Kuri 😀
