This video is super helpful! Thank you, Hope! This may be a whole different video topic, but how do you go about finding seniors to photograph when you are just getting started or moving to a new location and don’t know any seniors in the area?
You can ask coffee shops/ restaurants to have a stack of Flyers/Brochures for people to pick up if they have a High School in that town! You can also ask High Schools in the areas you're interested in have a stack of them in their main office or if they have a flyer wall located in the school!
I've thought of doing portraits. This won't apply to couples; how would I photograph senior females as a male photographer? I would want her to feel safe and practice safety habits, and would make me more comfortable. I was thinking of inviting the father (doing some daddy-daughter shots while we're at it?) or another senior friend, maybe offering a discount for shooting two people. Maybe offer a 2-for-1 deal if the person not being shot at the moment is a VAL and looking for necklace/hair problems.
This is so kind of you to be so considerate about! I think inviting a parent/friend along is always a great way to make the senior feel more comfortable (whether you are a male or female photographer). My friend Rob is an awesome college grad photographer that does a great job of having a personal brand so his clients are able to get a feel for his personality before the shoot. He may be a great example for you! instagram.com/square8studio
More great info !!!! Asking the question, which is your fav side is sooo good! 👍🏼👍🏼 🆙
Ty for the vids. Just had my first senior session and was able to move through it seamlessly by utilizing your posing tips.
Amazing! So happy to hear it, Zach!
Thank you Hope! Your questions are great!
Yay! You're welcome!
