- Today, the first prototype of my springlock suit project is revealed! After months of work and prototyping, discover the first actual working springlock animatronic, complete with the endoskeleton and the springlock system!
This is my first ever real fnaf animatronic project, and I will admit... This is neat. And dangerous. Watch 'till the end to discover why!

The fact that you started this without knowledge of robotics, but full motivation at the age of 16 is very impressive. Especially considering that no one has done it as well as you have.

We’re getting a lot more F.N.A.F technicians and engineers in recent years (I think?).
That is perhaps thanks to the fnaf movie, but there is certainly a rise in real fnaf animatronics out there!
Because of how dangerous springlock suits are, you have to be very careful when equipping this and putting it on you, because one mistake and you may never see the light of day again.
And might drown on hes own blood
Yeah, we saw William’s fate and he had video game logic on his side so he didn’t die. If this guy gets spring locked he won’t be as lucky…
they arent as dangerous as today he WOULD go to the hospital if he got springlocked but the percentage of dying is low but he will still BE hurt and lots of bones will be broken
@@Salty10034no, he’d definitely die. In the books it’s described on how all the metal parts will INSTANTLY snap back into place, ripping through all of your flesh and instantly breaking most of your bones. Your vocal cords will also instantly be pierced so you won’t be able to call for help, either. Eventually you’ll drown in your own blood. There is no physical way to survive unless only one springlock goes off and you’re in public.
@@video_guy4573 the real life spring locks aren't as dangerous as in the books

I really really suggest you look to some fursuit building guides for the suit itself!! Or any suits you might make in the future. There are some lovely guides right here on CZcams that can give you invaluable tips. I specifically recommend Neffertity and Skyehigh Studios. I don't remember if either of them specifically talk about 3D printed headbases, so just to be sure, here's the most important tip I know: *If you want to wear that head for any length of time, especially with a suit too, **_riddle that thing with holes for airflow!_* Literally make it look like a spiderweb. Otherwise heatstroke will strike even harder and faster than those springlocks! Best of luck
Not only do I love the design, but DAMN this dude's voice is soothing. It's a miracle I didn't fall asleep listening to it.
Thanks pal! I was not sure about the voice, but I'm glad someone likes it! This means a lot to me :)
Dude this is the best springlock suit i've seen. Also the only ACTUAL springlock suit. Love it! Also are the springlocks actually enough to harm? If so, damn. (because you said that it would cause injuries if the springlocks activated)
Thanks pal! Well, it does hurt but nothing too alarming, just enough to be considered a flaw
That’s really cool what does it feel like I mean if it hurts really bad then I might only wear it on my arm but if it’s like a little bit it’s not that bad
In other reply section was said it makes bruises, so I guess

Let's go bruh!! I think this video will help me create my mechanisms too, cuz I've been making MANY searches about possible mechanisms for the Springlocks, but since you're way more experienced, your videos could very possibly help me :D congrats for the work!
Inspiring people to make springlock suits from day 1! Haha, joke aside, I'm glad I can help!
nice! im only a kid (11) but ive been trying to make springlock suits too, but slightly different. they are called snaplock suits, ( or snapsuits) that double as robot and suit, using the mechanism of a bear trap but smaller. and the beartrap device ( or snaplock) is attached to the costume itself, and hooks into specially drilled bits in the endpo to hold it on. let me nkow what you think of the idea. thoughts? advice? critisism? also. sorry for bad spelling
@@vinderaad7347 i dont really grasp the idea
@@keylaneproductions1977 you dont get it? ok, well, its sort of reversed. instead of springlocks being on the endoskelton the mini beartrap (or snaplock) is glued onto the inside of the costume instead of the endo, so when you wind it back and trigger it, it snaps into specially placed holes on the endo. the endo looks like fnaf 2 endo, but slightly thinner with holes in the legs arms chest and of course the head. i dont really know how to explain it apart from that.
@vinderaad7347 literally sounds like a trap from saw or something lol
This is really, really cool, even if it doesn't work properly yet. It's awesome to see people working on these kinds of things
Thanks, I'll make it work eventually! ;)

Watching Your vids has been helpful in my "quest" of making my own springlock suit (of course with modifications since i gotta make it a different animal and have some uniqueness to them xD)

I hope your quest goes well! What animal, may I ask?
@@technofurs Rottweiler Animatronic OC thing named Scrapper (been working on his design for a attempt at a fangame and thought "oh what the heck, i cosplay as Fredbear, might as well full send it with a suit for Scrapper too")
Most Difficult part has been getting mechanisms to work and figuring out how to have a peg leg (he has what i call a Cactus Leg) and my foot be able to be inside of it comfortably xD
Why not try a mechanism that starts as a suit and then has a animatronic mode just a thought
Seems good to me! I like his name:) and the peg leg is an interesting concept!
Good luck on making your OC, pal!
That makes me think, I should really build people's animatronics, like I could be rich with that
@@technofurs Hmm, I have a wild idea - so wild, it could almost work:
Perhaps you should open up a pizzaria with animatronics that double as suits. And you should make it family friendly and host birthday parties here too. Then you could continue by expanding upon this concept for example by opening up sister locations and by starting to mass produce these animatronics - maybe one day even by going as far as to open up gigantic buildings full of different attractions and a big stage where these animatronics perform all around the world...
I dunno where my idea came from though...
Congratulations on this project you are thinking of opening Freadbear Family Diner

Wow you're actually doing it incredible. This is my favorite part of fnaf
Thanks! :] seeing FNaF animatronics IRl is surreal
@@technofurs I'm sort of used to it by this point, but I meant the mechanics and specifically that of springlock suits, I've been thinking about it since fnaf 3 came out lol
oh, you're also fascinated with how the springlocks work, I see! Have you seen the graphic novels springlocks?
@@technofurs Yes absolutely and it's not at all what I imagined, I feel like the graphic novel artist missed a mark in order to make it more obvious for children that what they're doing is dangerous. I always imagined you'd wind or otherwise pull the lock and that the endoskeleton would move to the outer walls of the shell, but the way I imagined it it didn't make much sense either. Which is why I absolutely loved your past few videos, even showed them to my gf who also likes this particular part of fnaf.
To see someone my age doing something so impressive inspires me to do projects of my own.

Actually, keep up the good work
Hype for this!!!
Edit three spring lock suit I am building I do not know how to make a wearable ball joints so I'm customizing it to have a hinge light designed to each joint in those two stick hinges will be attached to a circular piece that's going to be in between a joint that allows it to rotate while moving up and down in between the joints where I might put a random endoskeleton in Ruby's to spear like things in between that joint which are going to be the spring locks I'm still stuck on the legs by the way because I do not know how to make a spine for the wearer to move in
ME TOO! :D
@@technofurs u r awesome
@@technofursthe books and the game states it is that you should be able to wear the suit pretty fluently if it's in good condition meaning you should make it where the spring locks AR hard set it off but can be set off if you would throw it against a brick wall.

ok fnaf fandom, this is where i need your help. im creating a similer thing, but with a beartrap mechanism called a snaplock. its very simple, you wind them back, and when they set off they snap into place. but heres where it gets interesting: the snaplocks are fixed onto the suit part, and connect with drilled holes inside the endo. ideas? thoughts?
