I remember when Edinburgh airport was a nice experience :) It handles so many more flights/passengers these days, but that’s the problem, it was never (and never will be) big enough for it. Who remembers the outdoor viewing balcony? :)

Ironically when they had the outdoor viewing balcony there was barely one flight an hour to view. A few Tridents, 111s, Twin Otters and the occasional Monarch 720 was your wack back then, 1980'ish. Haven't watched your adventures for a while now Steve, must look you up again.

Better to be late for flights now but don't worry you can just jump on as it's taxying down the runway.

The airport can check peoples check in details outside the airport and not let in until 2 hours before.
They would have to provide dozen portaloos, etc.
People would soon get the message and time their arrival at airport accordingly.

In Edinburgh Airport, remove people with attitude, then all will be well. Baggage loaders should handle baggage with care, they are not paid there to break our (passangers) bag. And security police with gun in black uniform are not paid to bully passangers and asking their documents and knowing nothing about what he is asking for. If you put such people with full of attitude, today your airport sinks later your whole system will sink, that for sure. Monitor them.
