I don't know if he still does them, but Alex Myers at Yorkshire DPF Centre tuned my 2016 i8 about 3 or 4 years ago. His tune along with a Pedal Commander make this a very quick car. While it is not in the same league as my Mclaren, I have several dragy verified sub 4 second 0-60 runs in the 3.7 to 3.8s. Very respectable for a car that was in the mid 4s. I average over 40 MPG to boot.

Frank Weber, who was the Global Chief Engineer of the Chevy Volt and the Cadillac version you owned before, is the engineer behind the i8 shown here. Basically, BMW hired him away and he immediately built them another 'Volt'. The i8 'maturity' in its execution is a result of him leveraging his experience from the Volt development. He is incredibly talented and now remains as one of the senior EV management folks at BMW.

The i8 is definitly a future classic since it had a lot of "first of's" and looks great. Only 3.884 roadsters were built, compared e.g. to 5.704 Z8s.
